Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All

Chapter 257-The Topic Of Virginity

Jaguar:

When she cuddled up to me and lay beside me, something started to hit me: she could have been mine a long time ago.

But back then, she’d made me chase her so much.

I mean, I remembered a time when she’d judged me pretty harshly for not being a virgin.

It made me feel really strange.

I know she’d told me she wasn’t upset about it, but one thought kept running through my mind.

She knew I had feelings for her, so why did she give herself to someone else?

Roman.

It had to be him. In all that time, she’d only been with one person, her boyfriend.

Why had she given herself to him? Why hadn’t she saved her first time for me?

I didn’t know why, but I started to feel like I was being greedy. I already had her.

I mean, this had been my dream, to be lying here with her, and now I was having these pointless thoughts.

A little while later, when she finally fell asleep, I quietly slipped my arm out from underneath her, pulled the blanket over her, and moved to my side of the bed.

I got out of bed, put on my shorts, and walked over to her window.

There was no one outside.

I was going to make sure no one saw me, but I desperately needed a smoke because my mind was crowded with thoughts.

I pulled the cigarette out of my pocket and lit it. I kept staring out the window until I noticed her reflection behind me.

She had woken up.

I quickly took the cigarette out of my mouth, blew the smoke into the air, and turned around to face her.

"Did I wake you up?" I asked.

She was sitting on her knees on the bed, holding the sheet over her body and watching me.

She looked so beautiful, like the moon goddess herself had come down to earth to talk to me.

There was no one else like her.

She had completely worn me out in one night. Even my knees were aching but my cock was already twitching watching her like that.

"No, I woke up because of the smoking," she replied, gently touching her hair. "Are you okay?" she asked.

She looked concerned about me.

It was the concern I’d always wanted from her, and for the first time, she was showing it to me.

I guess I just got too comfortable. I took another puff from the cigarette and blew the smoke into the air.

"It’s just that—" I said as I reached over to the couch, grabbed my pants, and started putting them on, the cigarette still held between my lips.

"What is it?" she asked, sitting on the bed and folding her legs underneath her to one side.

I zipped up my pants and pulled the cigarette out of my mouth, blowing the smoke into the air again.

"When did you.---" I paused.

It felt like something was stopping me from asking the question.

"I mean, why did you give your virginity to Roman?"

As soon as I asked, I watched the wrinkles on her forehead disappear as she stared at me, stunned by the question.

"What?" she asked.

"I was just confused because I remember you weren’t very happy when you found out I wasn’t a virgin. I felt so judged, and yet here he was, abusing you. Why would you do that?" I asked, not realizing when to shut up.

She stared at my face, her lips pouted for a moment before she swallowed and clenched her jaw.

"I didn’t judge you because you weren’t a virgin," she hissed, forcing a smile onto her lips. "There was a lot going on during those days, if you forgot," she commented.

Then she smiled to herself before looking down.

The way she held the sheet over her chest with one hand and gently rubbed the back of her neck with the other, I could already tell I’d fucked up.

"No, I’m not judging you. I’m just asking because I’m curious," I said as I tried to approach her, but she pointed at me, then showed me her palm.

"Can you please just not smoke in the room?" she requested.

I looked at the smoke and then at her face. She was turning red.

I should have known better because the smoke was already bothering her, and yet I’d been stubbornly smoking in front of her in the room over and over again.

I put the cigarette out, dropping it on the floor and crushing it under my shoe.

"Listen, I was just—" I stopped. "You know what? Forget about it."

I tried to get on the bed to comfort her, but she immediately pulled away.

"Can you please just leave?" she demanded, pointing toward the door.

"Verity, you’re taking it wrong."

I tried to get on the bed a second time, but she jumped off the other side and pointed toward the door.

"I don’t want to speak to you. Please leave," she demanded, her eyes lifting to mine, anger showing in them.

"Look, I’m not leaving because I know you’re taking it wrong."

I was in the middle of speaking when she began moving toward the door.

"Okay, okay, fine. I’ll leave," I said, grabbing my shirt and coat.

I started putting them on while she stood by the door, not even looking at me once.

I mean, what the hell had gotten into me?

Why did I even need to say anything?

If a girl’s virginity didn’t matter to me, why did I need to bring it up and risk ruining our relationship?

I had put on my coat when I approached her and stopped right in front of her.

Then I placed my hands on the wall beside her waist, trapping her between them, and hunched down to her eye level.

"Please don’t take it the wrong way. You’re very important to me, Verity. Don’t let this one little thing get in the way of our happiness," I said, trying to use the most loving voice I could as I leaned down and kissed her on the cheek.

Then I started trailing down toward her lips.

She pulled her face away, and that was when I knew she was too angry to understand me right now.

"We’ll talk again, okay?" I said as I gently pinched her cheek before walking out of her room.

However, I walked out with the brightest smile on my lips. I’d had the best night of my life.
