Rejected By Her Family, Claimed By The Masked CEO

Chapter 62: Childhood friend?

Secret room, where the music ended.

Henry was sitting on a couch, leg crossed with a tablet on his hand. Beside his father, who had a cigarette in his hands, looking at Mr Jones, who sat on a couch not far from them with his head down.

There was another man sitting at his opposite with a serious look on his face. "You sure you can trust your wife?" he said with a frown.

Mr Jones laughed nervously. "She may be nonchalant, Mr Franklin. But she’s loyal to me..."

"Why won’t you get her involved? She’s needed anyway," Henry said.

Paul glanced at his son and smirked, then looked at Jones, whose hands were already shaking. "Yeah... yeah, that’s right, Draco..."

Franklin glanced at Henry and sighed, then looked at Mr Jones. "Then, we proceed..." He rose and nodded at Paul. " All cleared, sir"

Henry was still scrolling on his tablet when a message suddenly popped on his phone. Curious, he clicked on it and was surprised to see a picture of Abigail and Archie together, in appropriate way. His eyes became colder.

Paul glanced at the pictures and watched Henry’s expression. He inhaled smoke and let it out, then chuckled and looked away.

"Leave her alone," Henry said.

Paul puffed out some smoke and scoffed. "It depends."

Henry frowned and looked at his father. He paused and raised a brow. "What? You want to go against me for a woman?" He sighed and let out some smoke. "You learn nothing from my story you fool" Then he glanced at Mr Jones.

"I’m buying the two wristwatches," he said.

Mr Jones nodded immediately and called his assistant not to launch anything. " Yeah... announce it and pack it..."

" Mr President wants to see me?" He frowned and glanced at Paul who nodded calmly. " ohh... tell him I’m on my way"

During that moment, Henry stood up and left, his bodyguards followed him immediately.

Paul let out some smokes and sighed. " You still need to keep eyes on your wife" then his eyes narrowed " I don’t trust women"

...

Alan was surprised and happy to see Oliver coming out from the game room. She had been looking for him all around after seeing his parents and sister, he knew he would be here.

"Oliver?" She ran toward him with a smile. "I didn’t get to see you after the building celebration."

Oliver only answered him casually. "I was busy."

Alan kept running after him, bothering him. "Did you see how great my work is? The building looks perfect, right?"

Oliver only sighed. He was about to chase her away when Abigail suddenly said, "Be nice to her."

Alan looked at her with surprise, then looked at Oliver too. "You..."

Abigail faked a smile and waved at her. "Sister-in-law, hello again." Then she sighed at Oliver. "Please, be nice to your friend’s sister-in-law."

"Friend??" Alan looked at her in disbelief and Oliver, who had a helpless sigh. He looked at her and nodded. "I heard all your explanations, but I’m not in the mood to talk. Maybe... later..."

"Yes!!" She quickly accepted and nodded repeatedly. "We should talk later." She never knew Oliver could talk this gentle. Oliver nodded and left.

Abigail chuckled. "Don’t mind him. He’s always not in the mood to talk to women, but he always keeps his words. He will definitely reach out for you to talk, for my sake."

Alan looked at her up and down. "For your sake??"

Abigail narrowed her eyes and shook her head. "I don’t know you have the habit of looking down on someone, sister-in-law."

Alan quickly shook her head and rushed toward her, grabbing her hand with interest. "Ahhh, not that. I’m just surprised. Since you appeared weirdly the day you came to us, you were wearing a limited edition clothes and bag, and yet you said you never saw the bag Selena gave you..."

Abigail laughed. "I guessed that’s the only way to appreciate..."

"Please, can you tell me how I can get closer to Oliver?"

Abigail chuckled. "Then, let me consider that as a small gift for you then, since I can’t take you to your favourite actor..."

Alan paused and looked at Abigail in confusion. "What are you talking about? Oliver Lancaster is bigger than my favourite actor, and he’s also my crush."

Abigail blinked. "Ohhh..." So bold and straightforward... But wait, how many ladies were crushing on him? She cleared her throat and clapped. "That’s great. I can’t promise you, but I will convince him..."

Alan smiled happily. "I will tell grandma and grandad. You just want to give me the best gift I’ve been wishing for since childhood..."

"Childhood?" Abigail was stunned. "You’ve been crushing on him since childhood?"

Alan giggled and nodded. "I bet. You just met him, that’s why you don’t know me. I’m always his headache before I travelled to Japan."

Abigail frowned and folded her arms. "Not that. I’ve known him since childhood. We grew up together and he’s more like a brother for me."

Alan looked confused. "Grew up together? It means you grew up in the orphanage too?"

Abigail smiled and nodded, making Alan look more confused.

"Do you know Min-ho?" Alan asked.

Abigail blinked and nodded. She knew him then from gang fights and causing trouble. But they barely talked.

Alan’s eyes widened and she clapped happily. "Then you must have known Henry from long ago!!" She smiled in disbelief and took her hand. "He used to be with Selena, our family friend, but we also heard he has a secret girlfriend he’s hiding and doesn’t want us to know," she giggled. "And yeah, dad knew about it but intentionally turned blind eyes to it."

Abigail blinked several times. "Pardon?" she looked at her in daze... ’ what secret girlfriend? she just knew him recently and it not even up to two or three years.

If not for the contract marriage, she won’t have get to know his family... She was unable to get the information she need from Oliver...
