Chapter 61: What’s he’s capable of
Jeremiah frowned at the crowd and looked at the president with unease. "Do you think this party is only a birthday party?" he asked.
Albert was stunned too, especially when the Michelson family arrived. But they only saw the old man and his wife and the youngest child. "What about the demon spirit in that family? Paul and Henry!!!" he said.
Jeremiah replied, "Maybe they don’t come. What is happening right now is very suspicious. I didn’t see the vice president at all."
The President sighed and replied him, " He’s out of the country for my errand."
He noticed the man was nonchalant and was afraid he may not be on his side, so he had to send him to handle things on his behalf.
They were all worried when Mr Jones had this much connection. He was not only a businessman, but also a politician who was an ex-governor of a state. He was a very good man adored by many people. That was one of the reasons why they had to come to honour him.
But, what exactly is going on?

Madeline looked at Miranda, who had been looking at Oliver since, and sighed sadly. Then she faced Abigail, who was happily eating dessert.
"Should we tell her the truth before it consumes her?" Madeline said worriedly.
Abigail glanced at Miranda and sighed. " Too late.... and it wouldn’t help her to get closer to Oliver at all. It was a side effect of hiding feelings for too long." She took a quick glance at her "She has fallen too deep. We have to be careful how we tell her. She might get hurt more if we are not gentle." She added.
Madeline sighed. Oliver’s situation is far away from loving someone. What she noticed is having a weak girlfriend can bring him down. The business world is more dangerous than they imagine. The only thing he needs is friendship. What Miranda don’t know....He will start to withdraw when things start getting awkward between them.
"Maybe we should tell her to give up. There is no way Oliver can date someone he doesn’t like, unless he falls first, which is great luck for the girl! And we have seen the girls standing and waiting on the line for him to open up." Madeline suggested.
" Let do that after this party" Abigail looked at Archie and sighed. She asked for excuse and went to him.
She moved closer to him and started apologized while Archie listened carefully.
"It’s not your fault," he said. "I was just shocked. I should have asked you properly instead of running away..." he pulled his glass cup down " Well, I’ve thought about different solutions "
" Solution?" Abigail asked in confusion. Archie suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled her close to himself.
Surprising Abigail, who looked around with fear. She was afraid Henry would see them.
She had seen Luna and Joshua earlier, even if she hadn’t seen the devil himself. But seeing Luna and Joshua was just a sign of his presence. Many people may not understand, but she did.
She tried to push him, but Archie smiled. "Didn’t all contract marriages always have rules? That is why you sleep separately and he doesn’t even care about you. Dance with me," he said.
Abigail sighed and accepted anyway. Archie was as stubborn as a goat.

In the secret bar, Miranda followed Oliver in... just to see more of him. She knew what she was doing was crazy and dangerous.
She saw Oliver with other businessmen she didn’t know playing chess. She even saw the famous actors and other people she never imagined to see physically. They were cheering Oliver up to win the game.
She was smiling as Oliver won the game when someone suddenly leaned to her ear.
"Well, he is a good kisser in case you are curious," the voice said.
Miranda was stunned. Oliver is a good kisser? She turned and saw Madeline rush in and glare at the man.
"You are not helping the situation, Min-ho," she said.
Min-ho smirked. "What’s wrong with telling her what he’s capable of ?" Then he faced Miranda. "I knew you are an interesting person from the day I saved you. His ears are very sensitive..."
"Shut up!" Madeline screamed and punched his chest. Gaining attention from the rest. They paused and looked at them.
Miranda forgot how to breathe the moment Oliver looked her way. She admitted Min-ho really had fire to whatever she had been imagining. She had started to imagine Oliver kissing her and her touching his ears while he lost control!
Oliver frowned. "Hey! Leave her alone. You are not her type."
Madeline laughed and agreed with him. "Exactly! He thinks I’m crushing on him," then she winked at Miranda, who smiled thankfully. Madeline was helping her out of the situation.
Min-ho looked wronged. He looked at Madeline up and down. He was about to mock her but licked his lips. She had a goddess body and especially her cleavages which were full and well packaged. Exactly what he wanted.
"Well, I have my taste!" he said and glanced at Miranda. "Please, let me know when you want more information about that idiot," he said as Madeline dragged him away. "Ahh, I can’t wait to bully him through that bunny!"
The secret bar was full of laughter and games. Miranda felt a mix of embarrassment and happiness at the same time.
She had almost been caught, but her friends had saved her. The night was full of surprises, and she was learning more about the complicated world around her.
She just hoped she could fix things with Oliver soon. The party was still going on, and she knew there would be more drama before the night ended.
But for now, she was glad to be with her friends, even if it was in secret. The music played, the games continued, and Miranda smiled as she watched Oliver from afar.

She looked at everyone who was lost in the game, she sighed and rose... " I will be right back" she said to Madeline and left with Aarti.
