Chapter 48: Oliver?
Abigail nodded and started eating quietly. Must he be so harsh? Won’t people find it weird if they notice she is the only woman he really cares about?
"Did you later find your parents?" Archie asked after a moment of silence.
Abigail’s smile disappeared completely. She suddenly remembered everything she had tried so hard to forget. She took a deep breath and narrated the whole story to him.
She told him how her mother had reacted, how they believed Anna instead of her, and how she had to leave the house in the rain. "I don’t want to take revenge on them," she added quickly. "I know you too well, Archie. You would probably do something big if I asked."
Archie listened carefully and then agreed with her. "Whatever you say," he said softly. "If you don’t want revenge, then we won’t do it. But if they ever hurt you again, I might change my mind."
They continued eating and talking. The food was delicious, and the VIP section felt private and calm. Archie asked more questions about her parents. Abigail answered honestly, feeling comfortable sharing with him.
"I still don’t understand why they valued Company more than their own children, but I don’t really care about that again...."
They were still eating and chatting when the door to the private room suddenly opened. A lady barged in without knocking. "So it’s true..." Susan said, clenching her fists tightly as she glared at Abigail.
Susan clenched her fists tightly as she stood in the private room. She looked at Archie with sad eyes. "Why didn’t you pick up my phone after I called you several times?" she asked, her voice shaking a little. "I was waiting for you to call me first when you came back."
Archie sighed and rubbed his forehead. " My phone is always on silent, Susan. I already talked to your mommy about it. She knows I am back."
Susan dragged a chair and sat down without being invited. "I want to be the first person you call when you come back!" she yelled nervously. Can’t accept the fact that she would also lost Archive to Abigail.
Archie gave her a chilling look. "How dare you yell at me?" he asked coldly.
Susan swallowed hard and quickly apologized. "I’m sorry... I was just too excited to see you." she said carefully not to annoy him.
"And I didn’t ask you to sit," Archie added.
She stood up immediately and looked at him with puppy eyes. "I missed you, Arch," she said softly. She glared at Abigail, but Abigail did not even look her way. It was as if Susan’s presence meant nothing to her. This annoyed Susan even more.
"I will see you later, but for now I want to be alone," Archie said firmly.
"What?" Susan looked shocked. Then she turned to Abigail again. She had a lot to say. She wanted to pull her hair and destroy her beautiful face. She sighed deeply. "I will be waiting for you in your company..."
Archie sighed helplessly. "Don’t bother."
Susan was surprised. "What about your hotel? Yacht? Bar??"
"Enough, Susan!" Archie ran his fingers through his hair. " Fvck!..."
This simple action made Susan even crazier. Archie was the most good-looking and perfect man she could reach.
She could not get the higher rank men like Henry, Min Ho, or Oliver. Even Henry’s younger brother acted like he was allergic to drama. But Archie was available, and they had grown up together. Everyone expected her to marry one of the top five, and Archie was number five. He was also her long-time crush.
Abigail sighed softly and looked at Archie. "Let her stay if she..."
"Shut up!" Susan roared. "You bitch..."
"Then get the fvck out bitch," Abigail said coldly. "My food is full of your saliva." She gave Susan that menacing look she had been holding back. There was no way she would like this desperate woman. She hated when women tore other women down.
She had been making things difficult for her because of this! it obvious she think she’s the problem. She was the real problem, she’s too desperate and hurry to marry him.
Even if he likes her, he won’t like something like that, she’s too forward, rude, arrogant and so on. Giving her that she deserve is the only way to put her in her place.
Susan was shocked. For some reason, those eyes looked scary. Maybe it was the dark makeup Abigail was wearing or something else.
Archie looked at Susan and raised an eyebrow. "Happy?" he sighed helplessly. Susan is just an octopus, that used it hands to hugged him.
Susan nodded angrily and left the room. But she heard Archie say, "Are you okay? I will order another food for you..."
Hearing that, Susan gritted her teeth and angrily removed her heels as she walked. She left the restaurant looking like a crazy person. When she reached the garage, she threw her shoes away hard. "I want to kill that Abigail Nik!!" she screamed.
Her assistant, Aarti, sighed and tried to calm her down. "Boss, you need to calm down. This is not good for you."
Susan slapped her hard across the face. "Shut up, you fool!" she shouted, pacing back and forth. "I need to know how to get rid of that bitch as soon as possible."
Aarti glanced behind and nervously tapped her shoulder. "Boss..."
Susan shoved her hand away. "That bitch doesn’t even have a surname! How would she learn her place...?"
"Boss..." Aarti tried to warn her again, but Susan kept pushing her away.
"Tamper with her car! She must die today!" Susan ordered.
"And why would she, baby girl?" a low, calm voice came from behind them.
Susan froze and turned around slowly. Only to see a familiar, good-looking yet dangerous man in a white suit. Behind him stood several terrifying bodyguards.
He started walking elegantly toward her. Susan’s eyes turned pale. "Oliver..." she whispered.
