Chapter 87: Matriarch Camila & Daywalker Queen? by Harem-Fan

Albion Castle, the residence of 4th Queen Alice Dark...

In the main greeting room, sized like the one Queen Angelica uses like an Earth's basketball school gym, sat a woman on a black and gold throne.

In front of this woman knelt the 4th Queen, Alice Dark herself with her head lowered and on one knee.

There is only the dim light of the distant fireplace, with no other light sources in the room, even though it is daytime.

All the decoration in this grand room is black, with accents of gold, golden candlesticks, gold plated picture frames, golden teacups, gold utensils, and more... even golden chandeliers, and anything that isn't a shade of dark, black, or obsidian.

As Alice had just entered the dark and elegant room, she had knelt just to see her own captivating reflection in the highly polished black flooring, like a black mirror.

An otaku could even get a pantie shot by looking at the feet of women in a dress. (Owen's doing.)

"Mother, I am back..."

"Child, get up. Should a Human Queen be bowing in her own home, hehe~?"

"Mother, don't be silly, this is my love for you, haha."

The moment Alice said that, she felt her 8th Circle strength rise from the momentarily suppressed 7th Circle state, a reminder that blood is thicker than water, and your mother will always be your mother.

The black cushioned, gold accented throne isn't large, and was made for comfort and visual appeal to accent the owner of the chair rather than for ostentation.

The beautiful Alice, and her long blonde hair with slightly curled ends, stood to her full 6'1" height, not including her high-heels.

Her yellow Vampire eyes had a slight glow of eye-bright in the dim room, and they reflected the smiling woman in front of her, who shares the exact same height as herself, very tall by Human standards.

The smile Alice gave back was similar to the Original Vampire (Progenitor) mother who gave birth to her nearly 1621 years ago now, is the reason for her looks and magical talents.

But thanks to her long dead father only being a Daywalker Vampire (just below a Progenitor in power), she could never truly match her mother's power, beauty, and strengths as one of the first Vampires to step onto Myst so, so long ago.

"Mother, I just received more of my husband's delicious blood, do you want some of it?"

The gold eyes of the Matriarch of the Dark Vampires looked at the vial with disdain in her heart and said.

"I stopped drinking blood long ago, I don't need it anyway... But your offer is still appreciated. Now, tell me about this Human you're so afraid of that made you act like a frightened child?"

The woman crossed her perfectly sculpted legs, that only belong on the bodies of the Goddesses of Earth's past.

Her perfect blonde hair swayed slightly as the Matriarch held her cheek with a soft and elegant palm.

Her curves are nothing but feminine "perfection", that even the most beautiful Vampires could never match, due to her special body constitution called, Charming Body. (Exactly like in Xianxia novels.)

And this is exacerbated by the fact that women with the Death element in their blood are already top beauties by default. (With larger hips, breasts, etc.)

This body constitution is feared in the Eastern Wastelands as the most powerful unbeatable seduction tool.

Matriarch Camila Dark's body is that powerful without using her Death mana with it, but if she actively runs her magic, all that view, smell, touch, hear, or taste of her will be affected by one of four unmistakable emotions, regardless of power. (Lust, Envy, Affection, or Admiration)

Only a creature stepping into the 10th Circle or higher can resist it, but if she attacks, the effects break.

Alice pouted and said.

"I wasn't afraid, but alert, Mother. He is a vile Gu Master, and can even affect us, because we are still one step in the living world... I don't want to become his puppet and lose my control."

The golden light in Camila's eyes flickered hearing that, and her smile faded.

In her past-life she wasn't aware of, even the Greek God Zeus would avoid her like she was the boss, let alone her personality in this life. (Nyx)

"You need to be a Summoner with the Life element and a strong soul to become a Gu Master... Are you being tricked, child?"

"No, he is a freak of nature, and has the elements of Life, Fire, and Air all at once, without dying! He is a Summoner, and Owen confirmed he is a Gu Master with Love Gu... So mother, you cannot touch him, or even you will fall!"

The sharp tooth of the Progenitor Vampire slightly punctured her lip while in deep thought, and a drop of golden blood had come out, but as quickly was drawn back in and healed.

"Love? What is love? Can you eat it? Can love make the boring existence bright? So many beings live-and-die for this Love... Can love kill? Can love sustain a being? Is love the key to breaking the boundaries of Myst? Hmm..."

Alice knows not to break her mother's mental ramblings, because as a being that has lived for over 32,000 years tends to get lost in forgotten memories of the past.

Camila's eyes brightened again, with her charming smile back, and she said with more interest.

"This Gu Master... Tell me everything you know, and before the ball tonight, I want everything you can get out of Owen about him... I'm attending the ball tonight..."

Alice was terrified that her mother would come tonight, because she never does, and frankly if she comes, it won't end well for some unlucky people!

"Mother, I understand... His name is Count Loki Sky..."

While Alice was recounting what she knew, others were getting ready for tonight's Royal Ball...

Sylvia and I were getting ready in our bedroom for tonight's Royal Ball that is mandatory for us to attend...

Lisa was helping Sylvia with her hair and makeup.

Ayala, who is also going as an Ambassador, was casually sipping normal apple wine on the couch, as she is dressed in a stunning red dress that exposes much skin, but matches her Amazon vibe.

She also did up her hair in a sloppy bun.

Shehuang and Baihu are helping everyone get ready, while Shade was combing my wild hair, and making sure I looked good in my tuxedo.

Pandora, who had come to escort the three of us safely to the castle, was reading a letter about all the invitees, and about the different races who are attending, to help me identify possible threats at the ball, and who to avoid.

"Master Loki, the people you need to be the most alert about tonight are the Vampires... It seems they, especially 4th Queen Dark, have background checked you completely... And King Owen has exposed much to his wives. This is what you need to know about the Vampires coming..."

I find out later that no God Bro Codes were leaked, just the everyday stuff.

But as I felt the new Gu Insects that I have created in my Sect Token and the "Forbidden Pair" in my magic core, I was confident in dealing with them...

Bordering on the verge of life-and-death, the Vampire is neither truly alive or dead...

A being that survives of the life blood of others, to avoid a true death.

Unlike the Lich, who only preserve their Soul, the Vampire keeps their bodies in perfect shape, to avoid slipping into the realm of Ghouls, and become a true Undead.

The Ghoul is a failed Vampire that needs the flesh and blood of their own kind to keep going.

Normal Vampires begin to die under the effects of true sunlight, slowly being eroded by solar radiation.

A Vampire can turn to ash in the matter of minutes if shelter isn't found.

The second weakness of the Vampire is silvered weapons, a poisonous metal for the blood flowing in a Vampire, and is similar to solar radiation in danger.

Another problem for the Vampire, is that when hungry, they lose some of their personal rationality, until their hunger is sated.

In Myst, there is no such weaknesses as...

• Crossing running water. (Get a boat, or fly.)
• No reflections.
• Symbology items.
• Garlic. (They only suffer from bad breath.)
• Wooden stakes to the heart. (Bro a stake to the heart kills anybody)
• Needing invitations to enter private homes.
• Coffins to recover.
• And any-other weakness not listed above.

They are naturally faster, stronger, and more durable than their natural counterparts. (Human, Elf, Amazon, or Dwarfs.)

Their senses, all five, are magnified to be Myst's most efficient hunters.

They also grow and can retract an extra pair of limbs manifested through their blood and spinal-fluids, Dragon-like bat-wings capable of granting it flight.... These limbs are also strong enough to use as bludgeoning attacks.

The upper canines are a bit sharper, enough to easily puncture the flesh of Humans and the like.

A Vampire doesn't draw blood through their teeth at all, but drinks it into their stomachs, as a food alternative.

Blood can solely support a Vampire's nutrition, although meats are also fine, preferably raw.

Vampires find vegetables in general disgusting, as well as sugars and salts. (alcohols are the sugar exceptions.)

Vampires can also create their own Vampire servants through a process of drawing and replacing blood. By taking in enough of the same race's blood, then pouring some of the Vampire's own back into the recipient, Vampire assimilation can be achieved. This process takes around 24 hours of uninterrupted work.

Offspring created this way aren't controlled by their creator-parents, but the offspring feels suppressed around the superior bloodline, instinctively, and known to show respect in their presence. (Defiance results in a Circle drop in power around the superior being.)

This is true for many species of creatures in Myst, respect for the strong.

Any failed creations transform into wild Ghouls.

Unlike Vampires in movies and the like, male and female Vampires may breed Half Vampire children, or pure-bloods if both parents are Vampires.

(And in most movies, only male Vampires can get women pregnant, but female Vampires are sterile and useless... Makes no fucking sense, sigh... just my opinion, and in Myst, it is the only one that counts.)

Now all of this will apply to normal Vampires.

Original Vampires, a Progenitor, has all of the strengths and few of the weaknesses of common Vampires.

Progenitors only feel the sun is irritating, don't like the feel of silver items, and only feel the drive to hunt when starving...

Pandora did a great job giving me the overview of things I didn't know as well...

"Queen Dark usually only comes with her plus one being her personal maidservant, so her guards will be outside the event. I will be Queen Cross's plus one, so I will protect you if you're endangered, Master."

I asked.

"Protect Sylvia and Ayala for me as well, as they are pregnant with my children, please?"

I felt her slight reluctance, but then devoted acceptance at the task.

"Understood."

Mwah~! I kissed Pandora's cheek for listening to my request, but she didn't blush.

My link did feel a small sense of satisfaction from her though.

Sylvia stood in her blue, white, and gold adorned ball gown, with a comical belly-bump in it, making her look both charming and funny.

She didn't need a summoner link to see my thoughts, and she took my elbow.

"Everyone, we will be staying overnight at Castle Albion for this long event. We will be home tomorrow. Ayala, let's take this rogue to the ball, sigh..."

Lisa had opened a small Gate Portal to the castle for the four of us to step through.

I did use my Mundane Divination a few times, and it always ended the same way.

This Royal Ball won't end well for most, and I'm sure I'll get screwed...
