Chapter 88: Is this...normal?
Reality came knocking for Andrew the next morning.
Maxwell had left, gone for a meeting that had been scheduled months in advance that he couldn’t move, and Andrew told him that it was alright that he left. Why would he want to get in his way? So, Maxwell had left in a flurry of kisses, and hard warnings about taking care of himself, and Andrew was left alone in the house.
For the first time in a long, long time.
No Michael, no Maxwell, just Andrew alone in a giant house.
So, Andrew did what anyone would do. He went back to his apartment to begin to clear it out.
With the help of some of the security team (who Andrew had started to get close to), Andrew headed over to the apartment next door. He was worried that others were going to comment on him coming in with two alphas, but he thankfully didn’t run into anyone on the way up.
Andrew still remembered his password, and when the door opened, one of the guys beside him coughed. Surprised, Andrew turned to him, confused.
"Is something wrong?" Andrew asked quietly, curious, and the guard seemed nervous.
"Uh, no, it’s just...Mr. Beckett’s smell is...everywhere here." Andrew was surprised to hear that. He couldn’t tell, and that had to be because Maxwell’s scent was so deeply embedded into his skin it was hard for him to notice. Confused, and worried, Andrew glanced at him, still standing in his doorway.
"Is that...a bad thing?" Andrew asked, and the guard shifted nervously on his feet.
"Well, considering that you two are dating, no. But, it could be a problem if you were dating someone else. It’s a clear marking of territory." Andrew was stunned. Shocked even.
