Chapter 80: One Clean Strike
’It really sucks that I have to waste an Item as precious as this on a monster that’s only F-Rank, but I don’t see any other way I’m going to be able to fight this thing. My body’s aching all over and screaming at me in protest.’
Loraine glanced at the [Stamina Reinforcement Potion] in her hand, having retrieved the Item from her [Ring Of Storage], her eyes flickering to the Horned Devil Rabbit for a moment before returning toward the Item.

’50%....And it has a long duration too.’ She thought, her eyes narrowing in determination. ’With the funds I got, I should have no problem purchasing another one, so I guess this isn’t a total waste.’
Loraine’s hands moved to open up the potion, but the Horned Devil Rabbit wasn’t going to let her do so easily, using a [Air Vortex Howl] blast to interrupt her, before charging at her with [Agility] activated.
Loraine’s [Maiden Intuition] screamed at her the moment her eyes snapped on the attack, leaping out of the way as she rolled onto the ground to avoid the blast, her eyes snapping to the Horned Devil Rabbit that was rapidly approaching her.
"No you don’t!" Loraine yelled, tossing her [Twin Steel Cleavers] at the beast before her, the blades spinning erratically in the air as they made their way over to the monster, the Horned Devil Rabbit leaping in the air to avoid the attack.
The Devil Rabbit’s mouth glowed as it planned on using another [Air Vortex Howl], the blast charging in it’s mouth. Loraine using [Maiden’s Intuition] had already predicted the incoming attack from the Mana signature she could detect, already moving to counter attack.
"Nice try!" Loraine said, delivering a powerful punch to the Horned Devil Rabbit’s face as it’s attack was interrupted and it suffered some damage from Loraine’s blow, enough to send the Rabbit flying through the air and a few meters away from her.

’That didn’t do much, but it should be enough to get it off my back.’ Loraine thought to herself, the Devil Rabbit flying away for a moment as it was momentarily disoriented, using this chance to open up the [Stamina Reinforcement Potion].
The potion opened with a soft pop, the aroma smelling of plant leaves, carrying a herbal scent mixed with a puffy stench, Loraine having to pinch her nose as it almost smelled awful, a disgusted look on her face.
’Really!? I have to drink this!? I feel like if I do I might puke, or worse, I could die!’ She thought to herself, but she didn’t have any time to ponder her choices, as every second was precious and needed to be used optimally.
With all her strength and courage, Loraine downed the [Stamina Reinforcement] potion in one go, the taste absolutely awful in her mouth as she fought her gag reflex, her chest heaving with her effort to swallow.
"Bleh!" Loraine said with her tongue out, her body shivering with disgust all over as she still couldn’t believe that she had just done that, it felt like a violation of her organs.
’!?’ Immediately however, the change was instantaneous.
Loraine closed her eyes as she felt every muscle in her body be overcome by a powerful energy that strengthened them, the pain in them dimming for a moment as she felt like she could move around more easily and exert more energy without losing as much.
’I feel great!’ Loraine chuckled to herself, clenching her fists as she felt far more revitalized, her eyes snapping to the Horned Devil Rabbit that rose from the ground, making its way towards her.
"Now then, without being worn down by my stamina, I think I’m able to handle myself a whole lot better now." She muttered to herself, dashing forward as she knelt down to pick up her [Twin Steel Cleavers], her body leaping out of the way as a [Air Vortex Howl] made it’s way towards her.
KA-BOOM!
The attack caused a great explosion, earth and debre flying everywhere as the impact left behind a small crater, Loraine heaving a sigh of relief as she wasn’t caught in the radius of the blast, using the opening to charge further towards the Devil Rabbit.
’It’s got an advantage with that [Air Vortex Howl] Skill, so I’ll try anything to slow me down as it knows I thrive at close-range combat.’ Loraine thought to herself, ’The Skill’s cooldown is low as well, and it’s casting time is surprisingly quick for an Uncommon Skill.’
The Horned Crimson Eyed Devil Rabbit growled under it’s breath as it immediately detected the shift in Loraine’s nature, the white haired maiden being able to keep up with it’s attacks more easily as she dodged [Air Vortex Howl] after [Air Vortex Howl], the distance between them getting narrower and narrower.
The Devil Rabbit activated [Agility], increasing it’s speed as It dashed forward to intercept the maid, Loraine’s eyes narrowing as she focused intently on the Devil Rabbit, her [Maiden’s Intuition] Skill being pushed to it’s absolute limit as [Mystic Amplification] kicked in.
’I can only use this for a short amount of time, so I need to finish this as quick as I can before I suffer the consequences.’ Loraine thought, her teeth grit in determination as her heart raced in her chest.
The Devil Rabbit used [Horned Strike] the horn on it’s head glowing a bright crimson as the air twisted violently around it, Loraine sensing the Mana of the attack as she predicted where the attack was aimed, her senses reaching far beyond her body’s normal perception range.
The Devil Rabbit leaped forward with great speed and agility, it’s horn aimed at Loraine’s mid-section, the white haired maiden already twisting her body in anticipation as she avoided the attack, her crimson eyes blazing with determination as she raised her [Twin Steel Cleavers] to counter attack.
’I’ll finish this!’
