Chapter 1400: Showdown
The others also looked at Jiang Wenhui, with a sympathetic expression, as if Jiang Yutai had suffered a great grievance.
Jiang Wenhui’s expression tightened. She looked at the director and said seriously, "Thank you all for your concern, uncles. This time it’s Yutai’s fault, it has nothing to do with Jing Heng. This is a good opportunity for him to learn a lesson."
The directors exchanged glances and did not dwell on the topic any longer.
This was an internal matter of the Jiang Family, and it was not their place to intervene. Besides, the power struggle between the Jiang Family’s main branch and second branch was not a new issue.
After seeing the directors off, Jiang Wenhui remembered there was a document she hadn’t given to Jiang Jingheng, so she decided to go to the CEO’s office.
She opened the door and went in, only to see Jiang Jingheng sitting behind his desk, staring intently at his phone.
She walked up and placed the document on the desk.
"This is the plan you wanted."
"Hmm," Jiang Jingheng responded, his gaze still fixed on his phone.
Jiang Wenhui continued, "About those recent rumors in the company, don’t let them bother you. We all believe that Yutai’s issues are unrelated to you."
Jiang Jingheng didn’t say a word, his fingers scrolling through phone pages, his expression serious.
Jiang Wenhui was curious about what he was looking at. Her cousin had always been the type not to show his emotions easily. What could possibly have caused such a change in his expression?
She glanced at him and turned to leave.
At that moment, Jiang Jingheng suddenly looked up at Jiang Wenhui’s back and said, "What exactly do you want to do?"
Jiang Wenhui turned back, looking at him in surprise, "What?"
"Remember, you abandoned Song Cheng’an, who you had been in love with for years, for the Gao Family’s financial power. Then, after the Gao Family’s heir failed to gain power, you divorced him immediately and entered Shengyuan Group, securing the position of vice president. Next, are you planning to take my position?" Jiang Jingheng said with indifference, a hint of contempt evident.
Jiang Wenhui looked at him for a moment, then smiled, "Jing Heng, do you have some misunderstanding about me?"
Jiang Jingheng said nothing, lowering his head to look at his phone, seemingly unwilling to say more to her.
Jiang Wenhui observed his indifferent demeanor, feeling a sense of disbelief that the sharp-tongued, ruthless man moments ago could be him.
She said, "Jing Heng, I know that lately the directors have been praising me quite a bit, but they are just respecting Grandpa, and I’m also a woman, so you don’t need to worry. Besides, you’re so outstanding, how could I be qualified to take your position? I still hope to grow Shengyuan Group alongside you, so you’re overthinking it."
Jiang Jingheng didn’t even lift an eyebrow, seemingly uninterested in her explanation.
Jiang Wenhui felt as though she had just punched a cloud, and tentatively asked, "Did I do something to upset you?"
Jiang Jingheng frowned, suddenly locked his phone screen, and tossed it onto the desk.
He looked up at Jiang Wenhui and said coldly, "Stay away from Mu Yan, otherwise, even if Song Cheng’an pleads for you, I won’t spare you."
Jiang Wenhui looked at him in surprise, "You really have a deep misunderstanding about me, I have a good relationship with Nuannuan, I really like her."
Jiang Jingheng said coldly, "So you introduced someone with leukemia to her, made her think her brother could be saved, only to leave her with false hope?"
"What leukemia, I don’t know anything about that," Jiang Wenhui said incredulously, "My friend said that person had RH negative blood and a terminal illness, which was just right for a heart transplant, how could it be leukemia."
Jiang Jingheng looked at the innocent-looking Jiang Wenhui with icy eyes, suddenly losing interest in the conversation. He said indifferently, "Get out!"
