Danmachi: The Magic Grandmaster

Chapter 94: I never said I liked him

"You..."

Alfia was trapped between deep anger and embarrassment.

Just as she was about to say something, Sion lowered his head and captured her lips.

Her lips felt soft and wonderfully warm. He gently parted them to deepen the kiss.

Neither of them made a sound. That thrilling feeling of a racing heart surfaced once again.

Only this time, it was not just the two of them alone. They were doing it right next to Meteria.

Even though Alfia had made a promise earlier, she figured she could wait until they were alone or maybe even find a way to dodge the obligation entirely.

While she was looking forward to it deep down, there was no way she could be the one to take the initiative.

She never expected Meteria to set up the perfect opportunity nor did she expect Sion to act like this.

Alfia squeezed her eyes shut and did her best to stay completely quiet.

However, exactly as she feared, Meteria was spying on them.

Resting comfortably in Sion's embrace, Meteria wore a mischievous expression.

Her stubborn twin had finally taken a crucial step forward, making her feel happy.

Her bf and her sister.

They would live together forever. It was a happy time that felt just like a dream.

Thinking of this, Meteria couldn't help but giggle.

"That's enough."

After a full ten minutes, Alfia pushed Sion away while panting softly.

"I've done what I promised. Also, my dear sister, how long are you going to keep watching?!"

Alfia glared at Meteria with a sharp look, practically asking if she was finally satisfied.

"Hehe."

Meteria opened her eyes fully and acted cute.

Her perception had improved. At such a close distance, even without using sonar detection, she could still roughly sense their outlines and actions.

Meteria smiled and explained, "We can't just let Sion face a terrible romantic rivalry like those ordinary people do."

"Hmph, don't worry."

Then Alfia incfeased her volume. "Besides, I never said I liked him. I simply had to repay a favor, that's all."

Yeah, sure, you don't like me at all.

That stubborn pride of yours is truly a classic.

Sion gave her a side eye glare.

...

After resting, they continued their journey forward.

They eventually arrived on the twelfth floor.

This time, Sion didn't let Meteria fight. After clearing the monsters, he intentionally left a single Almiraj alive.

"What are you trying to do?" Alfia asked with genuine interest.

"I'm doing an experiment," Sion chuckled.

He then reached out and grabbed it by its head.

He attempted to convert the Almiraj body into soul matter.

However, the its body broke apart a moment later. It turned into a liquid that rained down from the air, and even its magic stone melted away into the mess.

"It isn't that easy," Sion muttered to himself.

"Should I try a different method?"

Thinking this over, Sion caught another Almiraj. This time, he used his mage hand to grab the creature's soul.

This was the extension of mage hand using soul matter.

Sion then destroyed its physical body.

After completing this step, Sion could feel an external force pulling at the Almiraj soul.

He guessed that this was the dungeon's reincarnation system going to work.

Since the pulling force was quite weak, Sion took his time. He used the monster as a template to construct a brand new body out of soul matter.

He then placed it's soul directly into the freshly made body.

However, even though the body made of soul matter tried its best to adapt to the Almiraj's soul, it rapidly began to warp.

The entire structure twisted together chaotically before falling apart.

"This method doesn't work either." Sion thought for a moment before starting his third experiment.

He caught a third monster, destroyed its physical body and extracted its soul just like before.

Then, using the creature's soul as the blue print, he began building a body out of soul matter around it.

A short while later, a visible outline gradually formed.

He no longer needed to rely on his soul perception.

He could see the form clearly with his naked eyes, meaning there was genuine hope for success!

Realizing this, Sion increased his mind output.

Yet, just as quickly as it formed, its body warped once again.

Even though he could flawlessly create puppets out of soul matter, he couldn't make a living creature.

Sion fell into deep thought.
