Knotting His Rejected Breeder

The room fell silent.

Wolf glanced from one face to another before letting out a tired sigh. "After Lorena stabbed Freya because she stood up for Sonia when I took her, I chased her into the forest."

Sonia’s fingers tightened around the bottle in her hand.

"I wasn’t thinking clearly. All I could see was Freya lying in her own blood. I haven’t forgiven her for what she did to Sonia but then, she stood up for my sister, it’s a good thing she survived,"

His jaw clenched. "She kept running until she reached the cliffs."

Seth frowned. "And then?"

"I caught her." Wolf’s eyes darkened. "I asked her one question."

"What question?" Ivy asked quietly.

"’Why?’"

The single word hung heavily in the room.

Wolf laughed bitterly. "Do you know what she said?"

No one answered.

"She smiled."

Disgust flashed across his face. "She said Sonia deserved everything that happened to her because she was the one Ramon loved. And even if she died in my hand, she will come back from the dead to kill Sonia,"

Sonia closed her eyes.

Even after everything...Lorena had never regretted what she had done.

"I lost my temper," Wolf admitted.

"I hit her." His voice remained calm, but everyone could hear the guilt beneath it.

"She fought back. We struggled near the edge of the cliff."

He paused before looking at Sonia.

"She slipped."

"You pushed her?" Seth asked.

Wolf slowly shook his head. "No."

"I grabbed her wrist."

Everyone stared at him.

"I actually tried to pull her back."

Even Ivy looked surprised.

"But..."

Wolf’s expression hardened. "She laughed again." His voice turned cold. "She looked me in the eye and said she wished she had killed my sister herself."

The room froze.

"I let go."

Silence swallowed the room whole. Sonia’s heart pounded painfully against her chest.

"She fell into the ravine."

Wolf lowered his eyes.

"I climbed down as far as I could. I checked for a pulse. There wasn’t one. And she was heavily bleeding, which means she has a miscarriage after hitting her body in countless rocks,"

He looked back at Sonia. "I’m sorry."

"I truly believed she was dead." Sonia slowly nodded.

She believed him.

Wolf had many flaws, but lying about something like this wasn’t one of them.

Seth released a long breath. "Then let’s leave the past where it belongs."

Cade placed a hand on Wolf’s shoulder. "We’ve all lost enough."

The heavy mood lingered only for a moment before a guard entered the hall.

"Alpha Ramon requests everyone’s presence in the courtyard."

The guard bowed respectfully before leaving. The group exchanged curious looks.

"What now?" Daisy murmured.

"I guess we’re about to find out," Tyler replied.

The central courtyard was already filled when Sonia arrived. Warriors from Bloodmoon stood shoulder to shoulder with warriors from Silverpaw.

Behind them stood the visiting Alphas.

Alpha Liam of Stormridge. Alpha Jackie of MoonRay. Alpha Erling of Ironfang.

Princess Elara of Moonfire stood beside Jed, one hand resting over her growing stomach, with other Alphas.

The moment Sonia stepped into the courtyard, dozens of eyes turned toward her.

Confused whispers spread through the crowd.

Ramon stood at the top of the stone steps outside the Alpha House.

His wounds had healed enough for him to stand unaided, though the silver scars remained visible beneath the open collar of his shirt.

Carl hovered nearby, clearly ready to catch him if he collapsed.

Ramon’s eyes found Sonia immediately. "Will you come here?"

She frowned but walked forward. The crowd parted without a word. When she reached the steps, Ramon took a deep breath.

His voice carried across the entire courtyard.

"Today isn’t about me."

"It isn’t about victory. It isn’t even about the war." His gaze never left Sonia. "It’s about the woman I failed."

A ripple passed through the crowd. Sonia’s heartbeat quickened. Ramon continued.

"As Alpha, I stood before this pack and demanded loyalty. I expected trust. I expected faith." His voice became rough. "But I gave neither to the woman who deserved it most."

He looked down briefly before raising his head again. "I let lies blind me. I let another woman poison my judgment. I failed my mate. I failed the mother of my child."

He continued. "And I failed my future Luna."

The courtyard remained completely silent. No one dared interrupt.

Ramon slowly descended the steps until he stood directly before Sonia.

"I cannot change the past. I cannot erase the tears you cried because of me. I cannot bring back the months I stole from us."

His eyes glistened. "But before everyone gathered here..."

He lowered himself onto one knee. Gasps echoed throughout the courtyard.

Even Wolf’s eyes widened.

Ramon took Sonia’s trembling hand. "Sonia Fjorn Fenris of Silverpaw..."

He paused.

"You deserved better than the man I was. But if you’ll allow me...I’ll spend the rest of my life becoming the man you deserve."

A tear slipped down Sonia’s cheek.

"I don’t ask for your forgiveness because I earned it. I ask because I love you. My heart. My wolf. Our son. They all belong to you."

His voice broke.

"So before every Alpha..." He glanced toward Liam, Jackie, Erling and Cade.

"...before every warrior...and before the Moon Goddess herself...Will you forgive me?"

"And will you stand beside me...not because fate demands it...but because your heart chooses me, as the Luna of Bloodmoon?"

The entire courtyard held its breath. Sonia looked into his eyes.

A month ago...She would have walked away. Today...She saw no pride. No excuses. Only a broken man trying to make things right.

Her wolf stirred inside her. Warm and Peaceful.

She smiled through her tears.

"It’s not every day..." Her voice trembled. "that a proud Alpha kneels before an entire kingdom."

Soft laughter spread through the crowd.

She reached down and cupped his face. "What kind of woman would I be...if I left him there?"

Hope filled Ramon’s eyes.

She nodded. "Yes."

The single word shattered the silence. Cheers erupted throughout the courtyard. Ivy wiped away tears before throwing her arms around Blane.

Tyler laughed as Daisy clapped excitedly, as both of them kissed.

Jackie grinned and elbowed Liam.

"I told you she’d say yes."

Liam smiled. "I never doubted it."

Even Erling laughed quietly before shaking his head.

"About time."

Ramon rose to his feet and carefully wrapped his arms around Sonia.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I know."

"No..."

She smiled. "I love you too."

His wolf surged with happiness. Inside her, her own wolf answered with a joyful purr.

At the same moment, the baby kicked strongly beneath her hand. Ramon laughed, placing his palm over her stomach.

"I think he approves."

"He definitely does."

He leaned down and kissed her gently.

It wasn’t a desperate kiss. It wasn’t filled with regret. It was a promise. A promise to protect. To cherish. To choose each other every single day.

As the cheers echoed across Bloodmoon, hope finally replaced the grief that had haunted the pack since the war.

For the first time in a long time...It truly felt like a new beginning.

"We couldn’t find her body."

On of Cade men mindlinked him immediately and he felt his whole world heavy.
