Knotting His Rejected Breeder

Chapter 246: The Celebration of a New Era

SONIA’S POV

For the first time in a long time, Bloodmoon did not feel like a place waiting for war.

The walls had been repaired. The training grounds that once carried the scent of blood and silver were filled with laughter again. The healers’ tents were gone, replaced by long wooden tables covered with food, drinks, and flowers.

It was strange. Almost unreal.

A month ago, I stood in this same territory surrounded by injured warriors, mourning people we had lost.

Today, I stood here watching those same warriors smile.

Life had returned.

I rested a hand over my stomach as I looked across the courtyard.

Our child moved gently beneath my palm, reminding me that even after destruction, something new could still grow.

"You’re quiet."

I turned.

Ramon stood beside me. Even after a month, I still found myself staring at him sometimes.

Not because he was the strongest Alpha. Not because he was feared by thousands.

But because I almost lost him.

The scars from Fenris’s silver blade were still visible near his ribs and shoulder. They would probably remain for the rest of his life.

A reminder of the day everything almost ended.

"I’m just taking everything in," I admitted.

His hand found mine. "Does it feel strange?"

I smiled sadly. "Very."

His thumb brushed over my knuckles. "I know."

For a moment, neither of us spoke. We didn’t need to. We had spent enough time filling silence with anger, pain, and misunderstandings.

Now, silence felt peaceful.

"Look at them."

Ramon followed my gaze.

The warriors of Bloodmoon sat beside warriors from other packs. Stormridge. MoonRay. Ironfang. Moonfire. Even Silverpaw.

Packs that once stood divided now shared the same table.

"Fenris would have hated seeing this," Ramon said quietly.

I looked at him. "Maybe that’s why it matters."

A small smile appeared on his face. "Maybe."

Before I could respond, a familiar voice interrupted.

"Are you two planning to stand there staring at each other all night?"

I laughed as Wolf approached with his arms crossed. Beside him stood Alpha Jackie of MoonRay.

The female Alpha looked amused.

"Your brother is always this dramatic?"

I smiled. "Unfortunately."

Wolf frowned. "I heard that."

"You were supposed to."

Jackie laughed.

For a moment, I noticed something. The way Wolf looked at her. It wasn’t the usual irritation he showed everyone.

There was curiosity.

Interest or a little confusion.

Wolf noticed me watching. "What?"

I shook my head. "Nothing."

He narrowed his eyes. "I know that expression."

"What expression?"

"The sister expression."

Ramon chuckled. "I understand now."

Wolf looked at him. "Understand what?"

"Why having a sister is difficult."

I gasped. "Ramon."

He immediately smiled. "I meant your attitude."

"You’re lucky I love you."

"I know."

His answer came too quickly, and I couldn’t stop myself from smiling.

Later that evening, Freya approached me. I immediately noticed the hesitation in her steps.

The confident woman I once knew looked different.

Softer and more Humbler.

"Sonia."

I turned toward her. "Freya." She took a breath. "I wanted to talk to you."

I waited.

Her hands tightened together. "I owe you an apology."

The courtyard noise faded around us.

"I gave you out to an enemy, and because of me, you faced a lot of pain and humiliation. I’m not worthy to hold the trophy of a good friend. I judged you before I knew you. I believed things people said because it was easier than seeing the truth myself."

Her eyes lowered. "I was jealous, and I thought you were weak." She swallowed. "But you were the strongest person in that battlefield, and the best healer with the kindest heart that ever lived."

My expression softened.

"You protected people who hurt you. You fought when you had every reason to give up."

A tear gathered in her eyes. "I’m sorry, Sonia."

I stayed quiet for a moment. An apology couldn’t erase everything. But it meant something.

"I accept your apology."

She looked up.

"But healing takes time."

Freya nodded. "I understand."

Then she turned toward Ramon. The Alpha had been watching quietly.

"Alpha."

He looked at her. "I owe you one too."

Freya looked surprised.

"I made you give your true friend to me, by manipulating you knowing what you were carrying."

Ramon sighed.

"I also made mistakes."

He glanced at me. "Many."

I smiled slightly. "But we can’t change what happened."

Freya nodded. "We can only do better."

"Exactly."

A small smile appeared between them. Then Craig appeared beside Freya.

"Are you finished apologizing, or can I finally offer you something to drink?"

Freya blinked. "I didn’t ask for anything."

Craig handed her a cup. "I know."

She looked at him suspiciously. "Why are you being nice?"

He shrugged. "Maybe I want to."

For the first time, Freya laughed. A real laugh. I watched them walk away together and smiled.

Maybe everyone deserved a second chance.

As the moon rose higher, Ramon stepped forward. The celebration quieted.

Every warrior turned toward him. "Tonight is not just about victory."

His voice carried across the courtyard.

"We lost many people." The smiles faded. "People who deserved to see this day."

He lowered his head briefly.

"We honor them by building the future they fought for."

Then his eyes found mine. My heart started beating faster. He reached out his hand. I walked toward him.

Everyone watched.

Not as an Alpha and his mate.

But as two people who had survived something impossible.

Ramon took the ceremonial blade, he cut his palm. Then gently took mine.

Our blood mixed.

The moment our wolves connected, warmth spread through my body.

A bond. A choice. A promise.

"Before Bloodmoon." His voice was steady. "Before our allies. Before the Moon Goddess."

He lifted our joined hands. "I choose Sonia as my Luna and now, I make it official."

The crowd lowered their heads.

I looked at him. The man who had once pushed me away. The man who fought through death to return to me.

I squeezed his hand. "And I choose Ramon as my Alpha."

Cheers exploded through the courtyard. Ivy covered her mouth as tears filled her eyes.

Blane wrapped an arm around her.

Daisy smiled beside Tyler. Liam raised his cup. Even Erling smiled.

For the first time, I felt like I truly belonged.

.

.

Later, when the celebration slowed, I found Ivy and Blane near the garden.

Ivy leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder.

"You know," she whispered, "I thought we were going to lose everything."

Blane looked down at her.

"But we didn’t."

She smiled. "No."

His fingers intertwined with hers. "We’re still here."

I watched them quietly.

After everything Ivy had endured, she deserved this happiness.

Everyone did.

Nearby, Jed stood beside Princess Elara, his hand resting protectively over her stomach.

The same man who once followed his father’s darkness now looked ready to create something better.

Alpha Daisy and Tyler spoke with Liam about future alliances.

Jackie and Wolf continued their arguments.

But neither of them seemed eager to walk away.

I smiled.

Some things were changing. Some bonds were beginning.

Ramon found me again and held out his hand.

"May I have this dance?"

I looked at him. "You know I’m pregnant."

"I know."

"I get tired easily."

"I know."

I smiled. "And I might step on your foot."

He grinned. "I survived Fenris."

I laughed. "That doesn’t mean you can survive me."

"Actually, I think you are the one thing I never want to escape."

My heart softened. I placed my hand in his. Slowly, carefully, we danced beneath the moonlight.

No war. No fear. No secrets.

Just us.

I rested my head against his chest and listened to the heartbeat I once thought I would never hear again.

"Ramon."

"Hmm?"

"Don’t forget this."

He looked down at me. "Why?"

"Because we fought so hard to get here."

His hand gently touched my cheek. "I won’t."

Then he kissed me. Not like a man afraid of losing me. But like a man grateful he still had me.

And surrounded by our family, our friends, and the pack we fought to protect, I finally understood something.

We didn’t just survive the war. We won a future. A future built on love.
