My Overpowered Bunny Girls

Chapter 216: Ororo, but not Monroe.

The summoning circle didn’t just glow; it erupted, burning a blinding ring of gold and silver light directly into the concrete of the roof.

Nathan stood firmly at its center, letting the heavy, warm waves of magic wash over him. Elise took a fast step back, shielding her eyes with one hand while her other instinctively dropped to Aurora’s Heart. They had been peacefully watching the stars just ten seconds ago. Now, the roof felt like a play of fireworks.

"Nathan? What is happening?" Elise yelled over the hum of the magic.

"Stay back," Nathan said, keeping his voice calm and steady. "It’s not an attack. It’s... it’s a summon."

The blinding light spiked one last time, shrinking inward until it formed a tight, bright pillar. The circle gave a final pulse, and a tiny figure took shape within the fading glow.

Sitting perfectly still in the center of the scorch marks was a small bunny.

Her fur was a pure, snowy silver-white that seemed to catch and hold the starlight. Her eyes were a pale, striking blue, completely calm and incredibly knowing. She was tiny, barely the size of Nathan’s palm, reminding him of how small Mirko had been on that very first day. But there was something heavy in this bunny’s gaze. A quiet intelligence and a deep, patient wisdom that made her seem much older than her size suggested.

She looked up at Nathan. Her small pink nose twitched once. Twice.

Then, her voice echoed through the mental link, soft, clear, and perfectly composed.

’hmm.. I have been summoned. This form? My natural beast form. I... am a manifestation of my soul power... Interesting.. What is my name, Master?’

Nathan looked down at her. The pale blue eyes. The pristine white fur. The overwhelming sense of calm she radiated, even standing on a charred roof.

"Ororo," Nathan said aloud, the name coming to him instantly. "Your name is Ororo."

’Ororo... Hmm... It suits me, I like it’ she replied softly.

Elise stepped forward carefully, lowering her staff. Her expression was a messy mix of total shock and deep curiosity. "Nathan, what is this? You can summon more!?"

"It’s... the System," Nathan explained, stepping out of the circle. "The hidden conditions for my fourth slot were finally met during everything that happened today. The System gave me the prompt, and she arrived."

Elise stared down at the tiny white bunny. Then at Nathan. Then back at Ororo. "She’s... very small."

’I am currently F-Rank,’ Ororo said politely, her voice projecting through what could only be later be referred to as her mana waves. ’Level 1. I will grow. I will evolve. But for now, I am exactly as I am.’

Elise blinked in surprise. "Oh? This one talks to me in her bunny form?"

"Apparently so..." Nathan smiled, confused.

Elise was quiet for a long moment. She looked at Nathan and just slowly shook her head. "You never, ever stop surprising me, do you?"

"I try my best."

The heavy steel door to the roof banged open. Mirko, Kuro, and Shiro rushed out, drawn by the massive spike in mana.

Mirko hopped onto the concrete in her original green bunny form, her pink eyes wide and frantic. She stopped dead in her tracks, looking at Ororo, and tilted her head so far to the side she almost fell over. "Another one? There is another one of us?"

’new conditions were met,’ Kuro noted. She was also in her small shadow-bunny form, sitting perfectly still and studying Ororo with cool, analytical eyes. ’The Master’s capacity has expanded again.’

Shiro landed softly beside them, her golden eyes warm and welcoming. ’Welcome to the family, sister. I am Shiro, the third summon of the young lord It is an honor to have you with us.’

Ororo gracefully bowed her small head. ’Thank you. I am Ororo. I look forward to learning from all of you.’

Mirko immediately puffed out her little green chest, trying to look as tall as a rabbit possibly could. ’Hmph! This Knight is Mirko! The very first summon! The absolute senior member of the Bunny Girl Legion! You may call me Senior Mirko, or Lady Knight, or—’

’Senior Mirko,’ Ororo interrupted calmly. ’I understand completely. You are the leader.’

Mirko blinked, momentarily stunned. ’I... well, I am not the true leader. The Master is the leader. But I am A leader. One of several. It totally counts.’

’Of course it does,’ Ororo said smoothly.

’She is extremely diplomatic,’ Kuro observed drily. ’This is a very good trait to have around here.’

A few minutes later, the entire party was gathered downstairs in the guild’s main common room.

Garrett, Dillon, and Smithy had been woken up by the magical commotion on the roof. They stood around the coffee table in their sweatpants and undershirts, staring at the tiny white bunny sitting next to Nathan’s coffee mug. They looked tired, confused, and highly accepting of the nonsense that constantly followed their boss.

"So," Dillon said, rubbing his tired eyes. "You just... summon more of them? Like, whenever you feel like it?"

"Not whenever I want," Nathan corrected him. "Only when the System’s hidden conditions are met. I didn’t even know the slots were unlocked until the blue screen popped up in my face."

"And the System just... handed you a fourth one?" Garrett grunted, crossing his massive arms.

"Apparently."

Garrett just shook his head, letting out a heavy sigh. "Kid, your magic is completely insane."

"I’ve been told," Nathan laughed.

Elise leaned over the table, studying Ororo with a sharp, tactical gaze. "What can she actually do? What are her starting skills?"

Nathan opened his interface. The familiar blue screen popped up, glowing brightly in the dim room.

[Summon: Ororo]

[Race: Demi-Beast (Bunny)]

[Level: 1]

[Grade: F-Rank (Evolvable)]

[Class: Undecided]

[Summon Skills:]

[Magic Aura (Passive)]: Emits a constant, heavy pressure of mana that passively slows enemy movements.

[Healing Field (Active)]: Creates a small field of light that rapidly heals allies while burning hostile targets.

[Negate Ailment (Active)]: Instantly cleanses and negates any negative status effect directed at the user or an ally.

Nathan read the skills aloud for the group. Elise’s eyes went wide, and she nodded slowly.

"A pure support summon," Elise said, her strategic mind already spinning. "We have never had a dedicated healer or cleanser before. This completely changes our combat dynamics."

"She can heal," Garrett said, sounding incredibly relieved. "That is huge for the front line."

"She can also passively slow targets and wipe status ailments," Smithy pointed out from the back of the room. His eyes were sharp. "That is even bigger. Inside the Tower Worlds, poison and paralysis were some of the worst things we had to deal with."

Nathan looked down at the tiny white bunny. "She is going to be incredibly important."

Ororo bowed her small head again. ’I will do my absolute best, Master. I am here to serve the Legion.’

Lucy officially met Ororo the next morning.

She was sitting at the kitchen table in her pajamas, quietly eating a piece of unburned toast, when Nathan walked in with Ororo resting comfortably on his shoulder. Lucy looked up, blinked twice, and then her face broke into a massive, glowing smile.

"You’re new!" Lucy gasped, dropping her toast. "You’re so cute! What’s your name?"

’I am Ororo,’ the bunny said through the mana waves. Nathan had accepted that that was part of ororo’s specialty.

"Ororo! That is a really pretty name! Can I hold her?"

Nathan looked at his shoulder. Ororo bobbed her head once in agreement. Nathan gently scooped her up and placed her right into Lucy’s waiting arms. Lucy cradled the tiny white bunny against her chest like she was holding a priceless diamond.

"You’re so soft!" Lucy giggled, gently petting Ororo’s head. "And you look like a little cloud! You’re so fluffy!"

’The tiny human is highly affectionate,’ Ororo observed calmly through the link. ’This is a very pleasant experience.’

"She really likes you," Nathan said, leaning against the counter.

’I like her too.’

Late that night, Nathan sat completely alone in his bedroom.

The apartment was quiet. He opened his system interface and stared at the glowing blue text hovering in the dark.

[Sub-Class: Overlord]

It was still there, quietly waiting for him. The immense, world-breaking power the Shepherd had handed over. The ability to steal and wield the skills from every single class in existence.

Nathan sat in the silence, thinking heavily about the Shepherd’s vision. The horrible truth about Babel. The multiverse network. The ancient Lords who treated entire planets like batteries. He desperately wanted to tell Elise. He wanted to tell Garrett, Dillon, and Smithy. He wanted to share the heavy, suffocating burden of knowing the truth.

But he couldn’t. Not yet.

The knowledge was just too dangerous. If the wrong people found out—if the TCA realized what he was holding, or if the Lords at the top of the Babel network sensed he knew their secret—everything could fall apart instantly. It would put a giant target on the backs of everyone he loved.

He closed the interface with a quick swipe of his hand.

The secret would keep. For right now, he had a brand-new summon to train. He had a powerful, loyal party to lead. He had a world to protect.

And for today, that was more than enough.

The next morning, Valerie called an emergency meeting.

The party gathered in the center of the bustling guild hall. Ororo sat calmly on Nathan’s shoulder. Mirko, Kuro, and Shiro sat in their bunny forms on the wooden table. Garrett, Dillon, Elise, and Smithy stood around the map board, fully geared up and looking fresh.

"We’ve detected new Tower activity," Valerie said, walking up to the table with a hot mug of coffee. She tapped her datapad, and a holographic map of the city popped up. "A Master Class Tower just dropped overnight. It landed right in the middle of the capital’s central square. The TCA has no idea what is hiding inside."

The party traded quick, knowing glances. A new Tower appearing right inside the city walls was incredibly rare. But it wasn’t unprecedented.

"This isn’t really any different from what you guys have already walked through," Valerie continued, looking around at the heavily armed, heavily leveled team. "So, I’m pretty sure I can trust this one to you without losing any sleep."

Nathan looked at the glowing red dot on the hologram. A Master Class Tower. A few months ago, a Master Class rating would have terrified him. It would have meant certain death. Now? Now it was just another Tuesday. They had cleared Master Class Towers. They had cleared far, far worse.

He looked around at his party. Garrett, with his heavy Aegis armor. Dillon, sparking with lightning. Elise, wearing the Glacial Crown. Smithy, wrapped in shifting shadows. And his summons—Mirko, Kuro, Shiro, and Ororo.

He was now S-Rank. They were geared to the teeth. And they were ready. They were always ready.

"Looks like we have some work to do today," Nathan said, a confident smile breaking across his face.

Valerie nodded approvingly. "You leave tomorrow morning at dawn. Rest up today. This one should be completely routine for you guys."

Nathan stood up from the table, adjusting Moonlight on his back. "Don’t worry, Val. We’ll handle it."

The meeting broke up. Nathan walked out the heavy front doors of the guild hall, stepping out into the bright, warm sunlight. His summons followed closely behind him, and his friends walked at his side.

The massive capital city stretched out in front of him. The giant Babel Towers gleamed dangerously on the horizon. The world was still spinning. Normal life was still happening.

And Nathan Cross was still climbing.
