DanMachi: Annihilation Maker in DanMachi World!

Chapter 100: The Soul of the World

Sinbad had his flaws, but his absolute refusal to be controlled was his defining trait. The moment he realized he was being manipulated, he ruthlessly cut his emotional attachments to his own grand plan.

"Let's drag David's spirit out first," Lucian said.

The air around Lucian shifted drastically. The casual, detached demeanor vanished, replaced by an oppressive, terrifying gravity. His eyes grew profound, echoing the infinite depths of the starry cosmos. The Divine Avatar—the World Will—descended.

He slowly raised his hand and stepped into Sinbad's personal space. His hand phased straight through Sinbad's physical chest, plunging directly into the man's soul.

Sinbad gasped, his eyes widening in shock, but he forced himself to remain perfectly still. He felt no physical pain, only an intense, gripping pressure seizing the very core of his existence.

Lucian clenched his fist and viciously yanked his arm back.

A glowing, humanoid silhouette was violently ripped out of Sinbad's chest, thrashing wildly in Lucian's iron grip. It was David.

"No! Impossible! Who are you?! Why didn't I foresee your existence?!" David screamed, his ethereal form writhing in pure panic.

It wasn't the sheer fact that he had been physically caught that terrified David. It was the crushing realization that his absolute clairvoyance—his perfect vision of destiny—was fundamentally flawed. Lucian simply did not exist in the future he had foreseen.

"I am..." Lucian spoke softly, his voice echoing with the weight of fundamental laws. "...the one who rewrites everything."

Before David could utter another word, Lucian deployed his Reality Marble. An invisible sphere of absolute authority expanded from his palm, instantly compressing and binding David within an inescapable, localized pocket dimension.

David was highly valuable. Having already assimilated with Ill Ilah, his spirit carried the specific conceptual signature of the black god. Lucian needed to use David as the literal key to unlock the spatial coordinates hiding Ill Ilah's dimension.

"Next, I'm going to travel to Ill Ilah's space and capture it," Lucian stated calmly, turning back to Sinbad. "Once that's done, I'll head straight to the Sacred Palace and utilize its infrastructure to cast my magic."

Which meant... there was absolutely nothing left for Sinbad to do.

Sinbad stood in silence. It seemed he truly lacked the capability to intervene in an affair of this magnitude. All his prior anxiety and frantic planning suddenly felt like entirely pointless overthinking.

Currently, Sinbad hadn't ascended to godhood. Even if he wanted to stop Lucian, he was completely powerless to do so. And frankly, even if he had achieved godhood, he wasn't entirely confident he could defeat the monster standing in front of him now.

"[Dimensional Connection Magic]."

Lucian activated the coordinates extracted from David. A spatial tear ripped open in the fabric of reality, and Lucian stepped through without a backward glance, leaving Sinbad alone in the palace gardens.

...

Lucian arrived in a blindingly white, completely featureless void—a space devoid of time, matter, and basic physical laws.

At the absolute center of this void hovered a colossal, churning mass of pitch-black energy. It resembled a dying, corrupted sun—a grotesque amalgamation of pure malice and foundational power.

Ill Ilah. The dark god. The soul of the old world.

Normally, engaging an entity of this magnitude within its own home dimension would be a catastrophic, drawn-out war of attrition. But Lucian wasn't here to fight. He was here to conquer.

"[Reality Marble: Divine Court]."

Lucian didn't hesitate. He expanded his Mental Landscape, violently projecting his inner world into the white void. The sheer mass and absolute conceptual weight of the Divine Court crashed down upon the dimension, forcefully substituting the spatial laws of the void with his own.

Ill Ilah didn't even have a chance to react. The colossal black sun was instantly engulfed, seamlessly teleported directly into the deepest containment layer of the Divine Court, perfectly trapped alongside the other cosmic entities Lucian had secured.

"Capture complete," Lucian murmured, feeling the massive surge of raw energy now safely secured within his world.

"Now then... time to pay Ugo a visit."
