Global Lords: The Undead's Mobile Fortress

The Undead in front of the fortress spontaneously parted, clearing a path for Li Ziyu and his group to pass.

Batubohe had already arrived at the clearing, followed by twenty men leading horses. A single glance was enough to tell these men were no ordinary soldiers. They had an air about them, an intimidating presence that set them apart from common warriors.

The Undead ahead parted, and three Humans approached, accompanied by more Undead. Batubohe watched them approach with curiosity.

Li Ziyu spotted Batubohe at a glance and couldn't help but size him up, one eyebrow raised. 'What a mountain of a man! What did he do in his past life? Was he a wrestler? He's built like a tank!'

As the two groups drew closer, a smile spread across Batubohe's face. He walked forward with open arms. "My friends, it's good to meet you! I'm Soaring Eagle, and my name is Batubohe!"

'Enthusiastic and open,' Li Ziyu thought. 'And that name… is he from an ethnic minority?'

Li Ziyu was taken aback for a moment, but he quickly opened his own arms and walked forward to meet Batubohe, introducing himself as he went. "I'm Don't Want to Get a Driver's License. My name is Li Ziyu. Thank you for coming to my aid!"

The two men embraced. The moment should have felt like two long-lost heroes finally uniting, but unfortunately, Li Ziyu and Batubohe were on completely different levels, physically. It looked less like two warriors meeting and more like a girlfriend running into her boyfriend's arms. Batubohe effortlessly enveloped him, leaving Li Ziyu feeling a bit awkward.

Fortunately, Batubohe didn't seem to mean anything by it. After a brief bear hug, he released Li Ziyu and clapped him on the shoulder.

The claps sent Li Ziyu staggering. 'I knew it,' he thought. 'This guy has to be a wrestler. He's not just tall and burly; he's incredibly strong. My slight frame can't handle this.'

The atmosphere was pleasant and not at all awkward, thanks to Batubohe's warm and hearty personality. He acted like they were old friends who hadn't seen each other in years.

"Friend, I hope you don't mind me butting into your battle," Batubohe said, breaking the ice with a hearty laugh.

"Don't say that!" Li Ziyu said quickly. "Without your help, I would have been done for. I'm the one who should be thanking you." 'He's being too modest,' Li Ziyu thought. 'That wasn't "butting in," that was a life-saving rescue. I get it, he's just being polite to avoid any awkwardness. I can't be ungrateful.'

"Oh? So I did do a good deed, then," Batubohe said, beaming. "Great! As long as you don't hold it against me, we're good."

Batubohe's hearty enthusiasm left a good impression on Li Ziyu, but he found it difficult to voice the questions burning in his mind. Instead, he turned to introduce his companions. "Batubohe, these are my allies and good friends, Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing."

Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing reluctantly stepped forward to hug Batubohe. They had seen the earlier embrace with Li Ziyu, who had looked like a delicate bird snuggling up to a person—it was truly a comical mismatch of proportions. Not wanting to be disrespectful to Batubohe, they could only bite the bullet and play the part of the "delicate bird" themselves.

After they exchanged a few more pleasantries, Li Ziyu finally steered the conversation back to the matter at hand.

"Batubohe, I have something I want to ask," Li Ziyu called out.

"Friend, if you have something to ask, just say it," Batubohe said, his expression turning serious as he looked at Li Ziyu.

"Were you in this region before? Why have I never heard of you?" Li Ziyu asked, staring intently into Batubohe's eyes.

He felt a knot of tension in his stomach. 'Batubohe is even more developed than I am. That Golden Tent Mobile Fortress is clearly a higher Level than my Undead Fortress. And to support such a massive force of Cavalry... the resources required must be astronomical.'

'It's true that I have a lot of Undead, but Skeleton Undead are the most Low Level type. All they require are bones. As long as you have enough bones, you can churn out endless numbers of them. The creation requirements are laughably low, and their combat effectiveness is pathetic.'

'But the Cavalry under Batubohe's command are a different story. Cavalry... they can't be cheap, no matter how you look at it. I saw them charge the Alliance Army. They were devastating. That means they aren't some cheap, low-effectiveness unit; they're at least on par with the Alliance Army's elite Warriors.'

'If he really was operating in the same region as me, then how in the world did he develop so quickly? Where did he get all those resources?'

'Back in the early days, I had to rack my brain just to scrounge up some bones, and every step of my development was taken with extreme caution. It's hard to imagine how he managed to raise such a large cavalry force in this barren Wasteland.'

'With that kind of Cavalry, he could probably sweep through this entire region. Even the Alliance Army wouldn't stand a chance against them.'

And yet, Li Ziyu had never heard of such a powerful force. Judging by Zhang Peng's expression, he didn't know about Batubohe either.

After hearing Li Ziyu's question, Batubohe shook his head. "I'm not from this region. I've only just arrived."

That single sentence was enough to put Li Ziyu, Liu Xingxing, and Zhang Peng on high alert. 'This isn't good news.'

'We just fought the Alliance Army. Our losses were heavy, but we've finally earned the chance to rule this region. So why has Batubohe shown up now? Is he friend or foe?'

The Dark Jungle had never vanished.

'Mobile Fortresses have their own designated zones of activity. The system drops new Transmigrators into each zone from time to time. Leaving your zone usually means you're going to war.'

"Then what brings you to this region?" Zhang Peng asked from the side.

"Hahaha! No need to be so tense," Batubohe said with a booming laugh, seeing their sudden apprehension. "I'm not here to snatch your territory, and I have no intention of making enemies of you."
