Global Lords: The Undead's Mobile Fortress

Chapter 354 180: Hydroxyl Slave Cavalry (3)

The Curved Sabers of the Lance Cavalry were also vastly different from those of the Heavy Cavalry. The Heavy Cavalry's sabers were shaped like half-moons—thick and heavy. This allowed them to efficiently kill enemies by simply holding the blades level during a charge, much like blades mounted on the sides of chariot wheels.

The Lance Cavalry's Curved Sabers, on the other hand, had a shallower curve. They were thinner and lighter, making them easier to wield and better suited for agile, hit-and-run tactics.

Tens of thousands of Lance Cavalry charged onto the battlefield. The Alliance Soldiers, having just been decimated by a wave of Heavy Cavalry, didn't even have a chance to pursue them before they were met with the thrusting Long Spears of the Lance Cavalry.

The spearheads were incredibly sharp, piercing straight through the bodies of the Alliance Soldiers and pinning them to the ground. The impaled Alliance Soldiers didn't die immediately; their bodies hung suspended, letting out cries of excruciating agony.

With the Heavy Cavalry clearing a path, the Lance Cavalry were like tigers loosed upon sheep, utterly unstoppable. Accompanied by a "YAO YAO YAO" sound, they surged forward, pinning every Alliance Soldier in their path to the ground.

'Damn, they're strong!'

Li Ziyu's eyes widened as he watched the two waves of Cavalry clear a huge swath of the battlefield. In the areas the Cavalry had passed, only the Undead remained; both the Alliance Army and the Demonized Creatures had been wiped out.

And this was only the beginning. Behind the Heavy Cavalry and Lance Cavalry came the Bow Riders, and the main fighting force—the Hydroquinone Cavalry!

Strictly speaking, the illustrious reputation of the Hydrogen People was built by the Hydroquinone Cavalry. They were, after all, the true main force and the most numerous of all the Hydrogen People Cavalry.

The standard Hydroquinone Cavalry was equipped with a Giant-Hoofed Warhorse, Crossbow Arrows, a Hydroxyl Slave Curved Saber, and Leather Armor. They even performed a prayer ritual before battle to receive a collective buff.

The Hydroquinone Cavalry deployed this time were just so—fully armed, completely equipped, and thoroughly prepared. They had come for one purpose: to reap the battlefield.

'So cool, so fierce... I love it!'

Li Ziyu's eyes practically shone. What man doesn't love the sheer power of a thundering cavalry charge? That feeling of boiling blood, that irrepressible excitement—it's like the martial arts dream every boy has.

It had to be said, the Hydrogen People's wave-after-wave assault was incredibly well-orchestrated. It was like watching an epic blockbuster, and it set Li Ziyu's blood on fire.

But Li Ziyu's joy was built on Palamede's suffering. From the moment the Hydrogen People's Heavy Cavalry appeared, the Alliance Army couldn't hold. The Hydrogen People, who were said to be an army unto themselves with only a thousand soldiers, were not to be trifled with. And this wasn't just a thousand men—well over a hundred thousand Hydrogen People had poured onto the battlefield. It was an absolute disaster.

"Are the Hydrogen People planning a full-scale migration? Why are there so many of them!" Palamede roared in frustrated fury, watching the Hydrogen People completely turn the tide of battle and his own Alliance Soldiers collapse.

There was no point in fighting anymore. They had lost. Lost completely. After fighting for so long, the Alliance Soldiers were too exhausted. They had only managed to push back the Undead thanks to a shot of adrenaline from the Demonized Creatures' charge. But who would have thought the Undead's allies were the Hydrogen People Cavalry? What was the point of fighting now?

Palamede gave up. Ignoring the other Alliance Soldiers, he issued a retreat order to his own kinsmen and fled the battlefield under the protection of his Personal Guard.

The Skeleton Undead would never pass up an opportunity to kick a man when he's down. They took advantage of the Alliance Army's chaotic retreat, attacking madly. Every kill counted. A dead enemy was a good enemy—and not just a good enemy, but one who would likely become a good brother in the future.

Unfortunately, the Skeleton Undead were simply too slow. After a short chase, the Alliance Soldiers managed to pull away. The Hydrogen People Cavalry, however, had no such limitation. They pursued the fleeing soldiers relentlessly, cutting them down and reaping a harvest of lives for a good mile or two before finally reining in their warhorses, letting out a cheer, and turning back.

'We won?'

'I won!'

'Holy crap, that victory came out of nowhere!'

Li Ziyu stood stunned for a long moment, then jumped up in excitement.
