Chapter 220 - 215: Give Your Grandpa a Smile (Part 2)
Jiang Si could only hide in the bathroom.
Fortunately, the person who came in didn’t seem to want to use the bathroom.
Jiang Si had just breathed a sigh of relief when she heard a sleazy man laugh as he shoved a woman to the ground. He said to the man who had woken up on the bed, "Bro, I brought the girl."
Jiang Si peered through the crack in the bathroom door. She saw a young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, who looked incredibly young.
The man on the bed stood up and walked step by step toward the hollow-eyed girl. He grabbed her chin. "Why not a smile?"
The other man hurriedly added, "If you don’t want to die, then smile!"
The girl remained unmoved, as if she would rather die.
SLAP—
The girl was struck hard across the face and fell limply to the floor. Then came the sound of a man unzipping his pants.
The girl suddenly saw Jiang Si through the crack in the door. Her eyes lit up slightly, but she didn’t make a sound.
Jiang Si couldn’t hold back any longer. She kicked the man with his pants down, sending him flying. She leaped forward, grabbed the other man who was trying to flee, and slit his throat with her dagger.
The man who’d been kicked flew into a rage and charged at Jiang Si, but she raised her pistol. A silenced bullet killed him instantly.
The man collapsed heavily to the floor. Jiang Si walked over, picked up the gun from his hand, and tossed it to the girl. "If you don’t want to die, pull yourself together!"
The girl looked at Jiang Si, then slowly picked up the pistol.
She was too weak. Jiang Si immediately found a bowl of instant congee in her bag and gave it to her. "Eat this, quickly. We’re leaving as soon as you’re done."
Hearing they could leave, the girl picked up the bowl and quickly drank the congee.
Jiang Si then stuffed a few pieces of chocolate into her mouth. "Do you know how to use a gun?"
The girl shook her head.
Jiang Si wondered why she wasn’t speaking. The girl suddenly opened her mouth, revealing that a piece of her tongue was missing.
Her tongue had been cut out.
Jiang Si frowned. She taught the girl how to fire the gun, then asked, "How many of them are there in total? Show me with your fingers."
The girl made a ’three’ with her fingers, then a ’two,’ for thirty-two. She then pointed to the two bodies on the floor, indicating they were included in that number.
’Thirty-two. Not as many as I’d expected.’ Jiang Si knew she could handle them all herself.
But there was no need to risk killing them all. As long as she could find the snowplow in the ship’s hold, get it out, and load it with enough fuel, she could leave this place.
Jiang Si said to the girl, "I’ll get you out of here. Stay with me."
The girl suddenly dropped to her knees and kowtowed forcefully to Jiang Si, then pointed downward.
She seemed to be telling Jiang Si that there were others, like her, being held captive by these men.
Jiang Si’s brow furrowed. They were complete strangers. Risking her life for people she didn’t know wasn’t her style.
In the moment Jiang Si hesitated, the girl began to plead desperately again.
Looking at her, Jiang Si felt as if she were seeing herself from a past life.
’If only someone had been there to help us back then.’
Jiang Si thought for a moment. "Let me think. Don’t rush me."
It would be nearly impossible to get the snowplow off the cruise ship without alerting the group.
Jiang Si decided it would be better to just get rid of them all once and for all.
The girl didn’t even know how to shoot; she would only be a liability.
Jiang Si led her to another storage room and had her hide in a concealed spot. She gave the girl some food and water. "I’m going to kill them. I’ll come back for you."
The girl grabbed Jiang Si’s hand in terror, afraid she would leave and never return.
Jiang Si reassured her, "I really will come back. Don’t worry."
The girl then traced a few letters on her palm, telling her to be careful.
Jiang Si nodded. "Mm."
Jiang Si picked up her weapons and carefully entered another room.
A man was in the middle of an "indescribable act," a numb woman lying beneath him.
Jiang Si rushed forward, twisted the man’s arm, and smashed his head in. He was still breathing, so Jiang Si struck him again, finishing him off for good.
Blood splattered across the woman’s face.
Only then did Jiang Si realize with a start that the woman looked very much like the girl.
Jiang Si found some clothes for her to wear and said, "I’ve rescued your daughter. She’s in a storage room on the third floor. Can you still speak?"
The woman’s eyes instantly lit up. She stammered and sputtered, but couldn’t form a single word.
Jiang Si sighed. "Hide here for now. I’m going to take care of the rest of them."
The woman grabbed her hand, trying to convey that the men were vicious and dangerous.
Jiang Si nodded. "I know. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine."
After settling the woman in a hiding place, Jiang Si went down to the second floor. After a careful survey, she returned to the room and found some guns and ammunition under the bed.
