Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies

Chapter 219 - 215: Give Me a Smile

Someone could come aboard this yacht at any moment.

Jiang Si had no superpower right now. Even with her excellent combat skills, she couldn’t afford to let her guard down. After changing, she quickly hid her old clothes, grabbed a blanket, and found a corner in the yacht’s cabin to rest her eyes for a while.

Once she felt her energy had mostly recovered, Jiang Si prepared to leave the yacht and head to the kitchens on the cruise ship’s second floor to find some food.

That’s where the cruise ship’s main storage warehouse was, along with countless small kitchens.

If she could just get into one small kitchen and find some food, she could survive for a few days and figure out a way to get off the ship.

But with no Superpower to aid her, she had to be extremely careful if she wanted to avoid being discovered by the ship’s current occupants.

Her experience from her past life told her that in the apocalypse, women were the most fiercely contested resource.

Sticking to areas she knew, Jiang Si cautiously made her way toward the second floor.

Fortunately, the cruise ship was massive, with countless passages leading to the second floor.

Even locked doors were no obstacle; Jiang Si could easily pick the locks and slip inside.

But the food was on the second floor, and the second floor was someone else’s stronghold.

Hiding in a corner, Jiang Si had a clear view of the main hall, where a dozen or so men were sprawled out. A fire crackled nearby, and a table was laden with all sorts of food. They were living with an unusual degree of comfort.

There were no women, children, or elderly people among them. Just one look at their faces told her they were bad news.

The man at their head was especially intimidating—bald, tattooed, with heterochromatic eyes and an even more terrifying presence.

Jiang Si suddenly remembered that the luxury suites on the fourth floor all had their own kitchenettes.

They also had a small storage room, stocked for the occasional needs of the guests.

Jiang Si recalled that when they moved supplies last time, they hadn’t taken everything. Perhaps she could find some food there.

Jiang Si immediately but carefully made her way up to the fourth floor.

In one smooth motion, she slipped into the small storage room.

The small storage room had clearly been looted countless times. It was empty, with nothing left inside.

Jiang Si had no choice but to risk entering the kitchenette inside one of the luxury suites.

The luxury suites were likely occupied, but for now, she could only rely on her experience to guess which room might be empty.

She chose the first room on the left, one that she and Qin Shen had entered together before.

She carefully opened the door. The room was empty but messy. Jiang Si walked into the kitchen, which was in even greater disarray.

A quick scan revealed nothing edible.

She lowered her gaze and suddenly found a bag of coffee in the corner.

Finding even a single bag of coffee felt like a consolation.

’If I can’t find food on the cruise ship, I’ll have to figure out a way to get off and try fishing by breaking the ice.’

A thought suddenly struck Jiang Si: if the unoccupied luxury suites had no food, then the occupied ones might.

After a long moment of consideration, she chose between raiding the large warehouse and an occupied suite. She picked the latter.

’With my skills, it shouldn’t be a huge problem as long as the other person isn’t a superpower user.’

’It would be even better if I could find some guns and ammunition.’

Having made her decision, Jiang Si didn’t act rashly. She noticed that the doorway to one luxury suite was cleaner than the others, and she quietly slipped inside.

The room was indeed occupied. The blankets and sofa were clean, and a stove was burning, keeping the suite warm.

Jiang Si’s eyes lit up when she saw a plate of nuts on the table. She quickly moved to the suite’s kitchen, where she found the cabinets stocked with all kinds of ready-to-eat food: instant noodles, sausages, luncheon meat, chocolate, candy, cereal, cookies...

Jiang Si took out the bag she’d grabbed from the yacht and stuffed it with the most filling, space-efficient food she could find. She tied the bag shut tightly with a rope. Just as she was about to leave, she heard footsteps approaching the door.

Jiang Si froze. She glanced around before quickly ducking into a kitchen cabinet.

A moment later, the door opened. The footsteps headed straight for her. Jiang Si readied herself to fire. But the person just opened a water bottle, rummaged for something, and then walked into the bedroom.

Jiang Si didn’t dare to move. She waited quietly for an opportunity.

After a long wait, the sounds of eating stopped. It seemed the person outside had gone to bed.

Jiang Si quietly slipped a piece of chocolate into her mouth. Before she knew it, more than an hour had passed.

Hearing thunderous snores, she carefully climbed out of the cabinet. Hoisting the bag of food onto her shoulder, she cautiously made her exit.

Just as she was about to unlock the main door, she suddenly heard another set of footsteps outside.
