Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies

Chapter 218 - 214: Blue Whale (3)

A moment later, she fell again, landing hard on the Blue Whale’s back.

Soaked to the bone, Jiang Si shivered violently. ’If I don’t get warm soon, I’ll freeze to death.’

She searched herself but found nothing to keep her warm.

Her gaze fell upon the Blue Whale’s back. Gritting her teeth, she drew the dagger from her leg, chose a wide spot where she was less likely to fall off, and plunged the blade in ruthlessly.

She had expected a huge reaction from the whale, but it was simply too massive. To the Blue Whale, her dagger was less than a pinprick.

The Blue Whale didn’t react. Jiang Si sighed in relief.

Now, she had to act like a parasite—carve a hole in the Blue Whale’s back and hide inside.

If she couldn’t get inside quickly, the extreme cold would soon kill her.

Jiang Si didn’t want to harm the innocent Blue Whale, but to survive, she had no other choice.

Soon, Jiang Si had carved out an opening about two meters long and squeezed herself inside.

The Blue Whale’s body heat instantly enveloped her, and its thick, coppery blood became her source of nourishment.

As she lay enveloped in its flesh, she truly felt like she had become a monstrous parasite.

Once her body temperature returned to normal, Jiang Si began to worry that the Blue Whale might dive into the depths at any moment.

But this enormous Blue Whale was apparently in no hurry to do so.

It was acting like a child, repeatedly bumping against the ice floes as if it were a naughty kid at play.

Jiang Si drifted off into a dizzy slumber, still no closer to figuring out a way to escape her predicament.

’If I leave the Blue Whale, I’ll just freeze to death again.’

When she woke again, she suddenly spotted a massive ship in the distance.

The vessel looked somewhat familiar, like the cruise ship they had used to transport supplies.

Seeing the cruise ship meant a chance at survival.

All she had to do was get off the Blue Whale, climb aboard, find some fuel to warm herself, and then figure out how to find Qin Shen and the others.

But getting off the Blue Whale was another problem entirely.

Below her was nothing but seawater, unless she could jump precisely onto an ice floe.

But jumping onto the ice carried the risk of breaking a leg.

And that would mean freezing to death before she could even reach the ship.

Suddenly, the Blue Whale began to dive.

Jiang Si’s heart leaped. ’This is my chance!’

As long as the Blue Whale submerged to a certain depth, its back would be level with the ice, and she could seize the opportunity to jump.

Elated, Jiang Si pulled herself out from inside the whale. The cold wind whipped at her, chilling her to the core. With a pang of remorse, she ruthlessly sliced off a piece of the Blue Whale’s hide and wrapped herself tightly in it, which helped a little.

Once the whale reached the height she’d anticipated, Jiang Si took a mighty leap and landed steadily on the surface of the ice.

The Blue Whale continued its descent, nearly dragging her back into the sea with it.

Fortunately, Jiang Si was prepared. The moment she landed, she broke into a run, finally reaching a stable patch of ice.

Still, she felt utterly drained.

Jiang Si advanced toward the cruise ship with determination. Suddenly, she saw a small, dark speck on the vessel—it looked like a person sitting on the deck.

Jiang Si was instantly on alert. She wanted to survive, not get herself killed.

Besides the dagger on her leg, she had a handgun tucked into her waistband with twelve bullets in it.

Staying out of the person’s line of sight, Jiang Si crept quietly toward the cruise ship, hoping she wouldn’t be discovered.

She had no other choice but to get on that ship.

No matter how dangerous it was, she had to force her way on board.

Thankfully, the person on deck was just making a perfunctory patrol. The weather was too cold; he was gone in less than a minute.

Jiang Si breathed a sigh of relief. She vaguely remembered that the cruise ship had several entrances.

Two of them were at the bottom of the hull.

Perhaps she could get in through there.

The lower hull also contained many stored boats that could provide temporary cover.

But she would have to climb a ship’s ladder to get to them, and the slightest noise could alert others.

Jiang Si carefully took off her shoes. Stepping on the ice and snow, she made her way up bit by bit. When she found a hull opening, a look of delight flashed in her eyes, and she immediately went to see if she could get inside the ship.

But this entrance was sealed.

She carefully circled around to another entrance. Mercifully, this one wasn’t locked. She and Jiang Linhai had been here before, loading several lifeboats into her space.

Soon, Jiang Si slipped through the opening in the hull and into the yacht storage area.

There was still one yacht left here.

After confirming the yacht was empty, Jiang Si cautiously crept inside.

She searched the yacht for a long time but found no food, only two bottles of fresh water.

Jiang Si quickly opened one and GULP, GULP, GULPED it down.

Then she found a crew uniform and changed out of her own clothes, which reeked of blood and the sea.
