Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny

Chapter 180: The Fangirl Sword Maniac

Damian chuckled lightly when he heard her words. "People rarely talk to you?"

He rested his cheek against one hand and looked at the librarian with obvious interest.

"That’s strange. Senior Sister Librarian, you’re beautiful. A woman like you should have people trying to talk to her every day."

The librarian paused for a breath.

A moment later, she chuckled softly.

Her laugh was calm and elegant, but there was a trace of amusement hidden inside it. "Just like the rumors said, Senior Brother Damian really has a clever tongue when talking to women."

Damian placed one hand over his chest and laughed shamelessly. "Ahahaha, sorry about that."

He leaned slightly forward, his eyes bright. "But it’s true. I love flirting with women, especially beautiful women like you."

The librarian looked at him for a few breaths.

Most disciples who came to the Scripture Pavilion were either nervous, respectful, or too focused on cultivation manuals to waste time talking to her.

Damian was different.

He was shameless.

Really too damn shameless.

He flirted so openly that it should have been annoying, yet strangely, talking to him felt better than dealing with those stiff disciples who only bowed, asked for manuals, and left.

The librarian lowered her teacup and said calmly, "Don’t worry about that. I’m not angry."

Damian’s smile widened. "Good. Beautiful women being angry at me would truly damage my heart."

The librarian’s lips twitched slightly. "You really don’t stop."

Damian nodded seriously. "Persistence is also a talent."

She shook her head, though her eyes carried clear amusement now. "Senior Brother Damian, you may flirt if you want, but please don’t call me Senior Sister Librarian."

Damian blinked. "Oh?"

The librarian adjusted her sleeve lightly. "That sounds too strange. I am not a bookshelf that learned how to cultivate."

Damian almost laughed. "Fair enough."

She looked at him directly and continued, "Just call me Senior Sister Mirabel."

Damian’s expression immediately became proper, though the shameless light in his eyes did not disappear at all. "Then, Senior Sister Mirabel."

He lifted his teacup slightly. "It’s my honor to speak with a beautiful woman like you."

Mirabel looked at him silently.

A breath later, she suddenly laughed. "Senior Brother Damian, you really are dangerous."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "Dangerous? Me?"

He pointed at himself with an innocent face. "Senior Sister Mirabel, I am just a harmless junior brother who appreciates beauty, tea, and good conversation."

Mirabel heard that and only chuckled, her interest growing even more. "Harmless, huh...?"

Her fingers lightly brushed the rim of her teacup. "Care to hear a story?"

Damian’s eyes brightened at once.

He leaned back slightly and gave her a relaxed grin. "Sure. I have some time, after all."

---

Mirabel studied Damian for a moment, as if deciding how much trouble she wanted to cause today.

A few breaths later, she picked up her teacup and spoke casually. "A long time ago, there was a certain girl in this sect."

Damian leaned back with interest. "A beautiful girl?"

Mirabel’s lips curved faintly. "Very beautiful."

Damian nodded seriously. "Good. Continue."

"She was cold, proud, talented, and terrifyingly stubborn," Mirabel said. "Everyone thought she only cared about swords, cultivation, and beating people who annoyed her."

Damian’s eyes brightened. "Sounds like a boring sword maniac."

Mirabel’s hand paused slightly, but she continued calmly. "Yes. A very boring sword maniac."

Damian laughed. "Poor girl. Beautiful but boring. Truly, heaven is unfair."

Mirabel’s eyes carried a strange amusement. "However, this girl had one secret."

Damian immediately leaned closer. "Oh? Now we’re talking."

Mirabel lowered her voice slightly. "She was actually a huge fan of a famous wandering swordsman."

Damian froze.

A second later, his mouth slowly opened. "Wait. A cold sword maniac was a fangirl?"

Mirabel nodded. "A very serious one."

Damian slapped the table lightly.

PAK!

His shoulders began trembling. "Hahaha! No way! Senior Sister Mirabel, are you serious?"

Mirabel sipped her tea calmly. "Completely serious."

Damian laughed even harder. "Damn. I can already imagine it. Some cold beauty pretending to be all elegant and untouchable outside, then secretly hiding under her blanket while reading sword poems about some handsome swordsman."

Mirabel’s gaze shifted slightly, the amusement in her eyes becoming clearer. "You are not far off."

Damian almost choked on his laughter. "She really did that?"

Mirabel placed her teacup down. "She once wrote a letter too."

Damian’s laughter stopped instantly.

His eyes became sharp. "A letter?"

Mirabel nodded. "A very sincere love letter."

Damian rubbed his hands together. "Senior Sister Mirabel, since you already told me the story, please tell me... do you have it?"

Mirabel’s expression remained calm, but her gaze turned playful. "Hehe, as expected of you. I actually do have the letter. Do you want it?"

Damian’s grin slowly widened. "Of course I want it. Absolutely."

Mirabel leaned back slightly. "Then what will you trade for it?"

Damian paused.

A second later, his expression became offended. "Senior Sister Mirabel, you really underestimated me."

Mirabel looked at him quietly. "Oh?"

Damian lifted his chin with shameless confidence. "You think I’m the kind of man who would refuse to pay for a beautiful woman’s precious secret?"

He quickly laughed again. "Of course not. As long as it concerns a beautiful woman, I will pay properly."

His eyes shone with confidence as he tapped his chest. "Also, don’t you know? I am a generous pervert who loves giving gifts to women."

Mirabel stared at him for a moment.

A second later, she lowered her head and laughed softly. "That is not something most men would proudly admit."

Damian waved his hand. "That is because most men are not honest enough."

Mirabel’s fingers slowly circled the rim of her teacup. "Honest, huh?"

"Very honest," Damian said without shame. "I like beautiful women, I like interesting secrets, and I especially like when both appear in front of me at the same time."

Mirabel’s calm face carried a faint trace of approval now. "You really are different from ordinary disciples."

Damian smiled. "Of course. Ordinary disciples are boring."

Mirabel tilted her head slightly. "And you are not boring?"

Damian leaned forward and lowered his voice. "Senior Sister Mirabel, if you talk to me more, I guarantee you will never feel bored again."

Mirabel’s eyes stayed on him for several breaths.

Her expression did not change much, but the lazy elegance around her became a little sharper, as if she had finally found something worth teasing. "Then show me your sincerity."

Damian’s fingers moved toward his storage ring. "Gladly."
