Chapter 313: Fire Affinity
While keeping the jet steady, Jason suddenly remembered something. "Did you just say you needed a thousand-year-old ginseng?" He asked.
"Yeah. Why? You have any idea where I can find one?"
"You definitely are a fortunate one, do you know that? Just today, the royal palace announced a tournament. In seven days, it will take place in the great colosseum in Mavelton. And among all the rewards, there is a two-thousand-year-old ginseng. Even better than what you are looking for."
"What? Really?" Leon stood up abruptly from his seat.
"The information can’t be fake because the document had a royal seal."
Leon’s face brightened. "Finally." Leon clenched his fist. "I can finally treat her." He then looked at Jason. "Uncle, what are the requirements to participate in this tournament? Can anyone participate, or will the royal family select the participants?"
"Anyone can participate. But there will be an initial capability test to select thirty-two participants. And the age limit is from eighteen to twenty-six. It’s to maintain a balance and find true geniuses." Jason explained.
"Do you want to participate in it?" Snow asked.
"Of course, yes."
"And what about your dungeon raids? Do you want to start raiding dungeons after the tournament?" Emily asked.
"No. I will start raiding right after getting off the jet."
"What! Everyone blurted out at the same time. "What’s the rush?"
"I need to save my sister. Noira, too. And for that, I need to get stronger. Every second I waste can affect their futures."
At those words, the environment became silent again.
After some time, Jason broke the silence. "If I remember correctly, you are a cultivator, aren’t you?" Normally, no one would talk about cultivators so casually. Their existence was unknown to most people. But Leon himself was a cultivator, and Snow seemed to be very close to him, too. So he asked the question directly. "So to get strong, don’t you need to cultivate? How is raiding dungeons going to help? If you are worried about resources, I can manage cultivation resources for you. You saved Emily and Sol. I owe you at least this much."
"Resources will help, but the speed won’t be sufficient. I need to get stronger faster." Leon said calmly.
"And raiding dungeons will make that happen?" Jason asked, narrowing his eyes slightly. ’Does he know any secrets we don’t?’ Jason Flemming wondered.
"Yes," Leon replied calmly.
"How?"
"I have my ways."
Silence fell again. After a few seconds...
"Alright then. I will take you directly to the Daselvia Hunter Association. And I will arrange a recommendation letter from the military, too. So even if your mana can’t be assessed, the Hunter Association will issue you a hunter license. And then... You can raid dungeons to your heart’s content."
Leon nodded. "Thank you very much."
Jason waved his hand dismissively. "Don’t mention it."
Jason focused on keeping the jet steady again. Snow continued to sit before Leon but didn’t bother him. Because at the moment, Leon had his eyes closed.
’System.’ Leon thought.
Instantly, the panel shimmered before him. Though he had his eyes closed, he could see the panel clearly.

Leon’s eyes snapped open in shock. "Fuck!" He blurted out, totally disregarding the fact that others were present.
"What happened?" Snow asked instantly. Emily and Sol also snapped in this direction.
Jason, who was busy flying, couldn’t help but look over his shoulder, too.
Leon didn’t answer. He was staring at the panel in bewilderment, trying to process whether what he had just seen with closed eyes was actually accurate. And to his astonishment, it really was.
"My damage..." Leon whispered. "Is four hundred and sixty-seven? That’s way above peak S-class. I am finally at the Disaster Class level, and that’s without any external influence like my weapon effects or berserk mode." His expression was totally wild.
Snow looked at him, waving her hand before him so that Leon would snap out of his daze.
After a few moments, Leon finally came back to reality. He looked at Snow and smiled. "Ugh, sorry for that. Please don’t be bothered about me."
Leon leaned back, calming his racing heartbeat. ’I shouldn’t be too excited. Though it should be enough to defeat anyone in the world, I still have to reach at least the fifth or sixth level of the Martial Grandmaster realm before I can head to the upper heavens.’ Leon mused. ’I wish I could use this time to grow stronger as well.’
Snow was still staring at Leon, wondering if Leon was in his correct state of mind. Emily also couldn’t look away. But for her, whether it was only to confirm Leon’s state of mind or also to keep an eye on Snow was unknown.
Leon, meanwhile, was pondering how to utilize his time to grow stronger faster. Just then, an idea popped into his mind. ’Wait! I can utilize this time to comprehend magic spells. I can’t learn the later spells for ice affinity without enough comprehension. But I can learn the first spell for fire magic.’
Leon got up from his seat. "I am going to the washroom." Saying that, Leon hurried to the backside of the jet. Snow watched him leave, her eyes narrowed. "What’s gotten into him suddenly? He’s acting weird." She whispered.
Leon quickly got inside the washroom. "System." He whispered.
[Yes, host.]
"The pamphlet of spells for fire affinity, I want to buy it."
[Affirmative, host.]
Right after Leon confirmed the amount, a pamphlet appeared in Leon’s hand. It had the same thickness as his pamphlet for ice affinity.
He slowly opened the first page. And the moment he did, a notification popped up in the panel.
[Congratulations, Host. You have comprehended all ten spells for fire affinity.]
