The girl’s flesh morphed into dark-crimson scales. The horns lengthened. Black lines appeared around her eyes like cracks. Her fingers elongated into claws. A tail protruded from her lower back. A strong gust of wind that looked like a storm of sharp edges shot forward.

Lamia and Renata tried to stand between the attack and Logan, but Logan stomped his foot on the ground lightly. Immediately, two tornadoes erupted. Each one picked up one of the girls and moved left and right.

A cut mark appeared on his cheek. Another one on his chest. Two in his shoulders. One in his knee. A thin line of red appeared before blood began to pour out.

"Master!" Both girls shouted at once. The tornadoes had already vanished, and they were free.

"You filthy demon!" Renata snapped as she shot toward the demon girl. Fire howled around her as if she was burning. Lamia had no intention of standing still either. She also shot forward as ice swords materialized in her hand. "Die!" She roared.

The demon girl chuckled. "It must be nice to see others fighting for you, right? But have you told them what kind of being you are?" Her wings flapped once more. Two tornadoes of air shot forward, the swirling mouth threatening to swallow anything.

They struck Lamia and Renata. Renata’s fire was puffed out. Lamia’s swords shattered.

Before they could even react, the demon girl vanished from her position and appeared before Renata. Her tail whipped and wrapped itself around Renata’s throat before hurling her through the air. She vanished once more and appeared behind Lamia. Her right leg shot out and kicked Lamia in the back. Her body whistled through the air and slammed into Renata as both of them were thrown away.

"Clowns." The demon girl sneered. Then, she looked at Logan and raised her hand. A tiny red dot materialized in the air. A blood drop. It grew bigger and straightened, turning into a blood sword. The hilt fell into her hand as she tightened her grip around it.

"Bring it out. Let’s see if it can withstand my Blood Art Sword." She said with a devilish smile.

"Attack me already if you want to. Others are also waiting for their turn." Logan said casually. His words made the demon girl’s blood boil. Her lips pressed against each other tightly as her veins bulged. "You are just asking for it, Logan."

Many were still fighting. Yet many had stopped and were staring at the demon girl’s appearance. Monsters, cultivators from the Upper Heavens, knights from this Empire. All looked bewitched as they stared at the demon girl’s figure. The air distorted around her. Even after standing a great distance away, many felt like they were being suffocated.

"Her aura!" One monster looked at the demon girl and whispered. "It’s frightening. Who is she? Is she a demon general?"

"Fuck! That demon is way beyond our level. Can Logan really kill it?" One royal guard whispered in despair.

Even Mercer’s face looked pale for the first time since Logan had met him. He had seen the demon girl dealing with Lamia and Renata like they were mere flies before it. "I hope you can really survive this." Mercer looked at Logan and whispered.

Lilith stood with her fist clenched. Her nails were almost digging into her flesh. "Who is she?" She murmured. "Even two divine beasts were no match for her at once." She looked at Logan. "And he was betrothed?"

The demon girl finally moved. She bolted toward Logan like lightning. Air burst out as she passed through it.

Closing the distance, she swung the blood sword. The space was torn apart around it.

"Shit! He is going to die." One Flame Empire knight shook with fear.

"He can’t even move. He is going to be dead soon. What are we going to do next?" Another knight whispered in a panicked voice.

Just as the crimson blade was about to rake across his body, Logan moved.

A stir. But he still remained there. Or that’s what it seemed. The blade slashed across his body.

An oblique gust of condensed air went forward like an energy arc.

Silence.

The bloodbath the demon girl expected didn’t happen. Logan didn’t wince in pain. He didn’t even flinch. Instead, his body began to fade until it totally vanished.

"Wait! What?" The girl was shocked beyond words. Just as she was trying to understand what had happened, an elbow struck her back with explosive force.

Booom!

With a shockwave, her body was knocked forward to the ground.

The ground dented first. The surrounding area cracked. The force still wasn’t neutralized as the ground cratered deeper, her body being buried.

The cracks spread even further.

Everyone gasped. "Did you see that move just now?" One royal guard whispered to the knight beside him.

"That elbow strike?" The knight asked.

"No, muscle head, the blurring image. That technique is called ’Ghost Mirror’. A legendary mythic-grade fighting technique. And he performed it with ease. Who the hell is this man?"

Lilith stared at Logan. Still unbothered. ’How much strength is he hiding, actually? No wonder a primordial Phoenix and a primordial serpent are willing to be his tamed beasts.’ She mused inwardly.

Logan pointed his palm toward the crater. Energy swirled before his palm as a lightning sphere materialized. But Logan wasn’t done. He held his position as fire erupted, swallowing the lightning sphere.

Everyone stared with wide eyes. The aura radiating from the sphere was something they had never witnessed before. It was as if something was whispering in their ears to flee the scene.

And then...

Logan pushed his palm forward. "This will teach you how to behave in front of me."
