I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 290: Lamia And Renata

The demon saw a thin red line growing obliquely across his body from his left shoulder to the right side of the waist... The upper side slid down the next moment, blood spraying. Both sides collapsed to the ground, beginning to disintegrate the next moment. Like dust and ash, the whole crimson body vanished into thin air.

The monster infiltration froze for a moment. Those who could see what Logan had just done stood frozen. Others also stopped because they felt something was wrong.

There were many human cultivators in the enemy army. Some were very strong. And no one was weaker than a fourth-level Immortal Soul realm cultivator.

The middle-aged Cultivation God froze. A few other cultivators beside him also froze. "That demon-purging aura just now!" The Cultivation God whispered in disbelief. "He is a Demon Slayer Sovereign? No. Impossible." He gritted his teeth and shot toward Logan.

But before him, three more monsters lunged at Logan. One, a black wolf alpha. Second, a gigantic badger. Third, a huge black scorpion. Not a single one was weak.

Logan felt it. A barrier surrounded the whole Empire. "Fools!" Logan murmured. "They again made the same mistake."

As those three monsters were rushing toward Logan, he whispered. "You two. Go take care of them." The moment Logan said that...

Whooooooooosh!

A gust of wind and energy shot outward in waves. Two figures materialized.

Lamia and Renata. The moment they appeared, many eyes snapped toward them.

Amidst the swarm of monsters, a serpent glared at Lamia. "So that’s where you had been hiding this whole time. Lamiaaaa! You are dead!" With a roar, the serpent slithered forward like a crazy beast.

"Ughh! Not him again." Lamia sighed.

"Who’s he?" Renata inquired as a fiery arrow shot toward the badger, killing it swiftly.

"My former betrothed," Lamia answered while icy swords materialized in the sky and rained down on the scorpion and the alpha wolf.

Both dead.

"Then why is he looking so angry?" Renata asked again as she threw a punch toward the Cultivation God.

"I rejected him and started following Master, that’s why," Lamia answered while throwing multiple icy arrows at the Cultivation God.

He was forced to leap back and watch them warily. ’Fuck! Who the hell are these two?’ He cursed inwardly.

"Maybe you should give him a chance. It’s not good to play with others’ emotions." Renata, meanwhile, said playfully.

"So you can hog Master for yourself? Dream on."

Renata couldn’t suppress the chuckle.

The angry serpent appeared before Lamia and thrust its head.

Lamia waved her hand. Instantly, a massive hammer of ice materialized in the air and swung.

Boooooooooom!

The hammer’s surface slammed into the serpent’s head with a loud bang. A few of the fangs were tossed in the air, along with blood spraying. The next moment, a black circle shot away into the distance, the serpent’s body flying above it.

"Hmph! Looks like I was only gone for a short time, but you already forgot me. Next time, act before you move." Lamia spat coldly.

But the giant serpent wasn’t done. Its head rose high as it shot forward once more.

Lamia leaned forward and bolted ahead. Ice wrapped around her fist, forming a giant icy fist.

As the serpent reached within a certain range, Lamia threw a punch.

A shockwave shot forward. The air continued compressing ahead. Before the serpent could even prepare to react, the invisible force slammed into it like a falling meteor.

Booooooom!

The massive body hit the ground. The surface was dented. The impact sent nearby monsters flying. A few knights and guards were also sent flying, though not critically injured.

Lamia took the initiative this time. "Ice domain." She whispered. Instantly, beams of ice burst forth from the ground.

The serpent also chanted. Instantly, five ice golems appeared, surrounding him. Those five golems blocked every beam of ice.

But just then...

Whoooosh!

Whoooosh!

Whoooosh!

Three ice lances found the gap and closed in toward the serpent. The giant serpent whipped its tail to block them. Unfortunately, one lance dodged every obstacle and struck the serpent’s body and pushed forward. Frost spread around the wound as the lance went deeper. The serpent howled and jerked in pain, but the lance didn’t stop.

Schlk!

The lance burst out from the opposite side. Instantly, those golems vanished. Three ice beams struck the serpent one after another.

Bam!

Bam!

Bam!

The serpent was sent flying. It slammed into many other monsters. Some were buried beneath its heavy body, while some were sent flying at the back.

"Jezz! You are brutal. Wasn’t that your betrothed?" Renata teased from the side.

"Shut up." Lamia snapped. Her focus was on the serpent. She knew it wasn’t dead yet. And her instinct proved right. The very next moment, the ground froze forward. Both Lamia and Renata leapt back.

Three monsters tried to attack them from the side. But two fiery rings blazed forward and sliced them in half ruthlessly.

The people from the Flame Empire were shocked beyond words. Only Mercer remained cool-headed as he also kept fighting.

Meanwhile, the demon girl with a gorgeous look but cold attitude walked forward. Her steps were slow, unhurried. With each step, her hips and shoulders swayed.

She stopped fifty meters in front of Logan. Logan also punched a hole in an orc’s chest before looking at her. Their eyes locked, the air changing.

"It’s time for you to return home, Logan." The demon girl spoke.

"Just because you said so?"

"No. Because I am asking nicely. Still." Her words weren’t loud, yet firm enough to send chills.

"Hahaha. Still, huh!" Logan burst out laughing. "Looks like that rotten place has infected your mind as well. Did you forget whom you are talking to?"

"Still arrogant as ever. But today I am taking you back no matter what. Once the betrothal is over, you can go wherever you want."

Two pairs of eyes snapped toward her, gazes sharp and cold.

Whoooosh!

Whoooooosh!

"What did you just say? What betrothal? You are not taking Master anywhere." Renata barked.

"Yeah. Get lost before we turn you into a meatball." Lamia wasn’t falling back either.

The demon girl burst into laughter. "Hahaha, Logan. I didn’t know your taste was like this. Beasts? Seriously? Is this why you left the Demon World?"

"Whatever the reason may be, it has nothing to do with you."

"It has everything to do with me. Your father took the Blood Heart Pearl, promising that you would dual cultivate with me. I need your blood for my bloodline to evolve. You have no option other than returning with me."

"Make me if you have what it takes."

For a moment, silence.

Then the ground started to tremble, dust and debris vibrating on the earth’s surface.
