Extreme Spirit Chaos Technique

Chapter 656 - 627: The Celestial Dao is Unjust

There was no excitement, no cry of surprise. Wan Xian’Er’s expression simply froze on her face, her lips parted slightly as her lively eyes became lost in a deep haze of confusion.

Mu Chen tilted his head and gently patted Wan Xian’Er’s cheek. "What’s wrong?" he asked.

Snapped out of her daze by his touch, Wan Xian’Er’s expression was still one of confusion. She pressed her lips together, her voice trembling. "Mu Chen, what did you just say?"

’Just as I thought. She couldn’t stay calm after all.’

With a soft sigh, Mu Chen caressed Wan Xian’Er’s forehead and brushed a stray lock of hair from her eyes. "I said," he murmured, "I can save Ying’Er."

"Hah..." This time, the confusion finally left Wan Xian’Er’s face, replaced by a pained smile. "Mu Chen, I know you don’t want me to carry such a heavy burden, but... this is no time for jokes."

"I’m not joking." Mu Chen shook his head, cutting her off. He looked at her with the utmost seriousness. "I can save Ying’Er."

"You can save Ying’Er?" Wan Xian’Er’s shoulders trembled, and the rims of her eyes turned red. "Do you even know what’s wrong with her?"

"I know," Mu Chen answered again, his voice firm and decisive. "Her Innate Dantian is shattered, and the damage is exceptionally severe."

"Then how? Even Grandfather couldn’t do a single thing! How are you going to save her? Tell me!"

Sensing her emotional turmoil, Mu Chen simply pulled her into a tight embrace. "This is what I meant," he said softly. "I’m going to tell you everything about myself. Including my biggest secret."

"Your biggest secret?"

At his words, Wan Xian’Er’s emotions finally subsided a little. Her attention now diverted, she gazed at Mu Chen with reddened eyes.

"Yes, my biggest secret. But I can only tell you a part of it. There’s a portion I can’t reveal, at least not yet." Without waiting for her reply, Mu Chen pushed himself up, leaning his back against the headboard. He held out his right hand, palm open. "Watch closely, Xian’Er."

Wan Xian’Er’s gaze was fixed on Mu Chen’s palm. In the next instant, she saw his eyes narrow in concentration. A fantastical, multi-colored ring of Primordial Power pulsed outward from his palm, emitting a soft glow. Immediately after, with a soft FWOOSH, a cluster of golden light radiating a sharp aura materialized above his hand.

"Gold Attribute Elemental Power?"

Wan Xian’Er was startled by the sudden appearance of the golden light cluster, but she quickly recognized what it was.

Mu Chen didn’t answer. He simply smiled, gesturing for her to keep watching. With another FWOOSH, a cluster of green light radiating a dense Life Aura rose above his palm.

"Wood Attribute Elemental Power?"

Before Wan Xian’Er could cry out, a rapid FWOOSH FWOOSH FWOOSH sounded as ten Elemental Light Clusters of varying colors shot up above Mu Chen’s palm, each one completely different from the last.

They were gold, green, blue, red, yellow, ice-blue, light cyan, violet-gold, white, and black. Any Martial Artist would have known what each of these colored Elemental Energy Balls represented.

But as the ten Elemental Energy Balls appeared above Mu Chen’s palm, they suddenly arranged themselves into a circle. Then, the black and white orbs drifted into the center of the ring, where they began to weave around each other—up, down, left, and right. As they swirled, the eight orbs remaining in the outer circle seemed to come to life, bobbing up and down along an exceptionally profound and mysterious trajectory.

"What is this? It’s... it’s incredible." Wan Xian’Er, who had been staring in a daze, could no longer contain her curiosity.

Mu Chen watched the ten strange orbs of light with her and said with a gentle smile, "This is my Elixir Field World."

"This is your Elixir Field World?" Wan Xian’Er was utterly bewildered. She opened and closed her mouth, finally managing to say in astonishment, "That’s impossible. How could anyone have a Dantian like this? It seems to contain every Elemental Power Attribute."

"That’s right. Because I have nine Dantians, encompassing every Elemental Power Attribute on the Extreme Martial Continent." He closed his hand into a fist, and the ten orbs of light shattered, dissolving into motes of starlight that filled the room in a surreal, dream-like display. Mu Chen continued, "Seven years ago, my life was shrouded in darkness. In Luofeng City, I had a title that everyone knew. Do you know what it was?"

"’Trash.’" Not giving her a chance to speak, Mu Chen answered his own question with a self-deprecating smile. "Back then, I was completely lost. I didn’t know the reason for my existence. I wanted to leave this world, but I couldn’t bear to make my parents suffer. They loved me very much, but my very existence only brought them pain and self-reproach. So, in a stupor, I lived for twelve years as a walking corpse. Because my Dantian had been shattered since I was young."

"You...!" Wan Xian’Er’s pupils constricted as she stared at Mu Chen in utter disbelief. "Don’t tell me... Ying’Er’s Dantian... she inherited it from you?"

Mu Chen shook his head slightly. "I had the same suspicion, but I quickly ruled out that possibility. My Dantian wasn’t congenitally damaged. It was maliciously destroyed when I was one year old. My right arm, too, was intentionally severed. I still don’t know the specific reason. But then, seven years ago, when I was twelve, my life took a dramatic turn. I stumbled upon a great, fortuitous encounter—one that was completely unprecedented."

Flexing the fingers of his right hand, Mu Chen smiled. "I obtained a Cultivation Technique—one without any discernible rank or grade. And it is entirely because of that technique that I am who I am today."
