Con-man instructions on how to live as a Noble

Chapter 58 - Circle back to Pointer

Rowe laughed as he sat down on the ground. Due to his weight, the ground shocked and threw Silas off balance.

He stumbled across and managed to regain the footing. After that, he looked down at the huge elf and let out a sigh.

"You don’t really act like an elf?"

"Tell me, small warrior. How should an elf act in your opinion?"

"Sorry for asking a stupid question." Silas sighed and sat down in front of Rowe. He took out the notebook he got from Flux.

He grabbed the pen tightly and bit at the end, staring at Rowe.

"I have a few questions regarding your situation and the situation around you." He said.

Rowe crossed his arms and straightened his back like an arrow. He laughed loudly and nodded with a proud expression.

"Sure. You may ask and I will answer with honesty."

Silas formed a faint smile.

"Why are you here?"

"I heard from the people that there is a strong monster here. When I came, I noticed my people were living so I created a place for myself on this mountain."

Silas nodded and wrote down the answer in the book.

"Since there is no monster here, I can assume that you want to meet with your people?"

"No. The monster is here. My battle soaked instinct is telling me. It is hiding somewhere in this place."

Silas frowned. He never heard about any of this in the game. To be honest, he stopped the game when the protagonist arrived and met the connection with people here.

So he never saw the end.

Silas scratched his eyebrows and nodded to himself.

"Anything you want to do with the treasure over there?"

Rowe followed his finger and saw the giant tree in the middle of the palm. He gave a sharp glance and frowned.

"Nah. I heard about those. I couldn’t care less at all."

"Oh. What do you hear about and from who?"

"From a bunch of old mages. They said that there is water that can transform the body to the purest being. And the crown of the snake that can enchant everything."

"Your information is correct. I am surprised. Most don’t even know about the snake." Silas said in amazement.

"I guess."

"If I need your strength, will you lend me?" Silas asked.

"Depend."

"Got it." Silas stood up and nodded in satisfaction.

"There will be a battle in that place." Silas said. "A huge one. Since you are a battle hungry man, I think you should join the fun."

"If there is a monster there, I will join it. I don’t really like facing people."

Silas frowned and rolled his eyes. "Then why did you attack us? My friend’s arms got broken thanks to you."

"Haha."

Rowe laughed.

Silas shook his head and walked back to his group. Roland was sitting and meditating. As he didn’t want to disturb the knight, he went to Luna and asked.

"How are his arms?"

"Healed. I just only cast a low tier healing spell. His body is special." Luna said.

"That is good to hear."

Roland opened up his eyes and stood up, checking his arms. He threw a punch and clenched his hands. After testing his arms, he smiled and turned to Silas.

"Sorry for being useless."

"What are you talking about? Cheer up, man." Silas shook his head and threw a light punch at his arm.

"Ouch." Roland faked an injury.

Silas rolled his eyes and called out the white spirit, Vae.

Vae came out from his world and landed on his shoulder.

"Silas." Ice-pick called him. He turned around and saw Ice-pick looking at him, her face flushed.

"I think I am in love with this man."

"Who?"

"What?"

"Why?"

The three voiced out.

Ice-pick gestured to a praying symbol and swung her arms around. "He is strong."

"Bullshit." Silas cursed and let out a sigh.

’Wait a minute. Our next target is Lynn. With her temperament, she won’t like Ice-pick. And there is still Eli, waiting for us. I can drop her here.’

Silas smiled devilishly.

"Creepy smile." Ice-pick muttered.

"Don’t be like that, Ice-pick. Since you found your love, I will drop you here."

"Really?" She jumped in joy.

"Sure. You are my friend. Your happiness is my happiness." Silas placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a look.

He then asked Vae to lift up the three and flew to the sky.

Roland looked back at the mountain peak, unsure of what just happened.

"Is it okay to drop her here?"

"Yeah. I am sure she will be fine. It is not like she can’t defend herself." Silas said.

"What if she really found love with him?" Luna asked.

"Hmm. That would be great. We should all congratulate her. But I don’t think she will find love there."

"Are you sure? Her eyes are sparkling." Roland said, unconvinced.

"Yes. I am 100 percent sure. Rowe is not the type to fall in love. At most, she will be unrequited love. But I doubt she would go this far. She will get bored in a few days."

"You know too much about her." Luna whispered.

Silas won’t deny that. After all, he had even seen her having sex with the protagonist. He sighed and looked up at the sky. If only he knew where the protagonist was, he could just guide him from the shadows.

They arrived back at the Pointer finger.

Lynn was still in the same place, this time her eyes were open and she was looking at the massive tree.

She didn’t glance at their arrival.

’At least she is not in a hurry to kill us.’ Silas sighed in relief.

"Stay there." Silas ordered the two and walked slowly to the center.

He carefully observed Lynn and gulped. He could feel his hand shaking. Even with Vae, he wasn’t sure he could survive the assault from her.

Her gift was that powerful. Powerful enough to gain the title of the witch.

That title was only got by someone who only used Gift. Even though he sensed the Fourth circle in both mana and heart, she didn’t have any active circle in her.

To her both mana and energy served only as an energy to fuel her gift.

"Stop there, Traveller." Lynn said.

Silas followed suit and waited for her to speak.

"I don’t understand your motive."

"I am just finding a way to make everyone happy?"

"That is an impossible wish."

"I will make it happen." Silas declared.

"A strong word for a weak man like you." Lynn said.

Silas didn’t answer and just gave her a nod.

"So tell me about your goal, Miss."

Lynn didn’t look at him and continued to stare at the tree with longing in her eyes.

"I wish to renew my body using the tear." Lynn said after the silence. "You can leave."

Noticing the change in her tone, Silas went to the group and went back to the middle finger.
