Stardew Valley’s Farming Master

Chapter 266: Preparing to Head Out

Link had more work than ever, juggling several responsibilities at once, and could only find his rhythm within the constant busyness.

Every day began with a visit to the workstation to report progress, submit the previous day’s tasks, and receive new research assignments. He would haul a thick stack of blueprints to the Energy Tower, drop them off, then read through last night’s logs, perform daily maintenance checks, troubleshoot problems, and—if nothing came up—work on technical designs in his office. The clinic was just a few steps away. If patients came, he could either handle them inside the Energy Tower’s maintenance workshop or back at the clinic.

At noon, he ate lunch with Suria before continuing with work. After dinner, the clinic opened for three hours before closing for rest.

It was always the same two-point routine. If something came up at the clinic, people went to the Energy Tower to find him. If there was trouble at the Energy Tower, they went to the clinic.

And if he wasn’t in either place, then he must have gone to pick up Suria from the workstation.

The technical documents London provided to New City were incomplete, far inferior to the ones Link had obtained from challenge rewards. Maybe it was deliberate sabotage by certain people, or maybe London itself had never possessed complete versions.

So Link quietly “backfilled” the missing knowledge into New City’s archives. His so-called rewards ended up feeling more like a contribution to the city.

“What’s wrong?” Today, when Grace returned from a mission, her mood was clearly foul. Link went over to check on her. Suria, meanwhile, sliced up another potato for the soup pot and even dug out half a German sausage to slice and serve.

The moment Grace spotted two pieces of fresh lettuce on the table, her eyes went wide. Even though she was still simmering with anger, she couldn’t help but swallow.
