Chapter 211: Table For Two
Everything was a daze. The light moved. The scent faded. And the water poured.
Amelia sat in the porcelain bathtub full of roses. Her skin glistened, reflecting the light. Two pale maids assisted her in the bath, pouring even more petals into the water.
A third one stood behind her, gently massaging her shoulders.
Her neck came into the vision of the third maid. The blood inside her veins glowed like Christmas light, seducing the vampire.
"You really are special, Miss Orchard." The maid couldn't contain her appetite. Her fangs popped out on instinct. But she didn't bite.
She knew better than to bite.
But she must taste this one of a kind woman. The maid leaned her head closer and sniffed Amelia.
The tingle rushed across Amelia and she moaned gently.
The maid licked her skin like a hungry wolf.
"So tasty. All Father knows his prey."
"Who is All Father?" Amelia asked.
"He is the one that you must serve, Miss Orchard. He is the night. He is eternity. He is the Prince of Blood."
The maids put the most expensive perfume on Amelia's naked body and put her into a white puffy dress.
They pulled her into a luxury guest room and put make up on her. Not that Amelia needed any, but the vampires wanted to make sure Carter was happy.
They put blood red lipstick on Amelia. Two pink clouds on her cheek, the sign of a satisfied woman was during sexual intercourse. And of course, they did her hair nicely, put it into a complex bun and made sure her neck was exposed at all times.
The maids delivered Amelia to Albert who was standing outside Carter's bedroom.
Albert looked her up and down then walked around her. He nodded approvingly.
"Nicely done, Arina, Vasilisa, Polina."
The three maids stuck closer together. Their bodies swirled gently.
"Is All Father inside? We prepare her good for him."
"He is. Now make way. Father cannot be disturbed while... enjoying his meal."
"Oh... I want to see him feast so bad."
The maids left. There were only Albert and Amelia left.
Albert took one good look at her and made the final adjustment. He loosened the string on her chest, revealing her full cleavage more.
"Just in case Father is in the mood. Now go, child. Make him happy."
Amelia frowned. There was something wrong. Something ain't right. She must leave.
But why didn't she? The entire experience felt like a dream for her.
She pushed the door open. The place was covered in darkness.
Amelia couldn't see anything. But she knew something was staring at her. Something primal. Something evil. Something that was hungry.
The large monstrous bat creature approached her from behind. It put its large hand on her.
Its hand was enough to wrap around her entirely.
It was very big.
Amelia shuddered just from the thought. She was terrified. Her knees trembled but her legs stayed still.
"Help me..." She mumbled breathlessly. "Victor... Help me."
Carter snapped his finger. Amelia snapped out of her trance.
The horror flooded to her and she realized what was happening. The young nurse turned back in terror.
But there was no monster. Only the pale in his sleeping clothes.
Amelia looked down to see her dress. Her cleavage was exposing much more than she'd like. It was still formal but she had never worn something like this.
Amelia covered her chest. "What do you want?! What are you? Why am I here?"
Carter walked to the window, seemingly ignoring her presence.
"What do I want? What do you want, Miss Orchard? You're running in the rain. Crying without no one to console you. Who hurt you?" Carter said.
"I... It isn't any of your concern!" Amelia said.
"Oh. But I am concerned, Miss Orchard."
Carter pulled the curtain open. The illuminating moonlight shined through like a dream, igniting a sensual atmosphere to the room.
"I can't let a fragile woman crying with herself. Especially a beautiful woman like you, my dear Amy."
Carter snapped his finger again. The candles lit up. A table for two with a delicious looking dinner on it.
The pale man seemed sad. A withered eternal flower of death and loneliness.
He sat down at the table.
"Please join me."
Amy's breath slowed down. She looked at him again. This time more closely.
His eyes were beautiful. His jaw was that of a perfect sculpture. In every way, he was something that Victor Frankenstein could not.
Amy sat down. She didn't know why. But she was convinced by his demeanor.
The overwhelming power of Charisma. It might not be that obvious for beings on the same rank. But for mortal, it felt like mind control.
They ate. And he talked.
"Once upon a time. In a land far far away. There was a pale man with dark hair that was very lonely." Carter said.
"Why was he lonely?" Amelia asked.
"He was cursed to walk this earth forever more. Without the release of death. Ever."
"Why was he cursed?"
"Because he chose love. The love that he should have never fallen into. He loved a god."
"Why did he love her?"
"Because she was what he could never be." Carter's voice became harsher. "So. She cursed him with immortality. And a title that he never wished for."
"The Prince of Blood."
Carter smiled.
They finished their dinner. The pale man stood up and walked behind Amelia.
He placed his hands on her.
"Tell me, my darling. Why were you sad?"
"I... I also love someone." She said. "But he didn't choose me."
Carter gently carressed his hand on her glowing smooth skin. Her soft flesh felt tender to touch and her blood smelled delicious. Something that no one had.
She was different for sure. And now he knew why.
Her blood was unique. Just like Florence Fontaine.
In the Enthrall Institute, the Doll was still playing its role as Doctor Victor Frankenstein. The pocket watch in its coat vibrated.
It took out the watch and a new count-down had begun.
A count-down of fifteen minutes. Something's large was going to happen. Something that would change the fate of this identity forever. The path had been set.
Carter leaned down and kissed her neck.
"I vow to never be alone again. Become one with me and I assure you. You shall never be betrayed. We will walk this world. And many more. Forever after.
