Chapter 1205 - 1204: Fond of You
Xiu Yan draped the warm cotton coat he had been holding against his feet over her shoulders and said, "If you’re cold, wear this inside the blankets."
Ji Nuan grinned mischievously, pinching her voice to exclaim, "Brother Xiu Yan, you’re so nice~ I really like you~"
As soon as she finished, she saw the orc’s large frame visibly tremble. He looked at the little female with the Giggly Beast Nest hairstyle in front of him with a face full of disgust: "Speak properly."
Xiu Yan’s reaction amused Ji Nuan, and she pushed her teasing further: "But I want to eat bunnies~ If not bunnies, then meat works too~"
With Ji Nuan’s antics growing, the orc’s gaze gradually deepened. "Since you don’t want to get up, let’s sleep a bit longer then," he said, starting to unbutton his shirt.
Ji Nuan looked horrified. "We’re just sleeping—why are you taking off your clothes?"
The orc’s lips curled into an enigmatic smirk. "What do you think?"
Without saying another word, he continued unbuttoning his shirt.
Ji Nuan was utterly flustered. Dammit~ She’d overdone it!
She quickly changed her tune: "Who wants to eat bunnies anyway? Forget it. Today we’re going big—meat in heaps, soup in gallons. I’ll go check on the injured in the cave next door."
With that, she suddenly didn’t feel cold anymore. Stretching her arms, kicking her legs, she quickly threw on her cotton coat and pants, slipped on her boots, and dashed out of the cave.
The orc, who had spent ages fiddling with just two buttons, put down his large, distinct hands and, after a moment, rubbed his arms.
Trying to soothe the goosebumps raised by his partner’s bizarre voice.
Meanwhile, Awa in the kitchen had already woken up and was staring absentmindedly at Ada, who was snoring away.
He’d never seen an orc so wounded yet so peacefully sleeping. His leg had been broken, and yet he seemed to snooze more soundly than a healthy orc, even more comfortably than Awa himself.
Suddenly, voices came from the cave of Shaman Ji Nuan next door.
Awa got up and went to knock on the stone door. "Shaman Ji Nuan?"
Ji Nuan, who had just walked to the front to wash up, heard his voice, "Come in."
Awa pushed the door and entered, only to see the Shaman holding a soft white Beast Skin, wiping her face.
Meanwhile, the stern orc was leisurely buttoning up his shirt as he emerged from the fire wall. With a cold glance toward Awa, he stepped over to Shaman Ji Nuan and took the Beast Skin from her hands to wash up himself.
"How’s Ada?" Ji Nuan asked casually, lowering the sleeves she had rolled up.
"Nothing serious, but he hasn’t woken up, still sleeping," Awa responded.
Ji Nuan strode toward the kitchen, "Those potions from yesterday are enough to keep a regular orc asleep till the evening meal. But since Ada is an evolved orc, he might wake up a little sooner.
Keep an eye on him. Once he wakes, come and call me. The moment the potion wears off, the pain will be intense, so make sure he doesn’t move around."
With that, she squatted down to examine Ada’s injury and overall condition.
The medicine clay was working well; the wound showed no signs of turning bad, and his temperature was normal without any fever.
Ji Nuan smiled cheerfully and nodded, "Things look good for now. Just keep an eye on him, and as long as he doesn’t move around before his bones recover, there shouldn’t be any problems."
After Ji Nuan’s inspection, Awa felt reassured.
"Once he wakes, I’ll brew him some bitter water. It’ll help him recover faster," Ji Nuan said, standing up.
Awa nodded, "Alright."
"Nuannuan..." From the other cave, the low and magnetic voice of the orc called out.
Ji Nuan glanced at Awa, "I’m heading back. If there’s anything, come find me."
