Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 1180 - 1179: Allocating Food for Work

Ji Nuan nodded, that was exactly what she meant. The guards of the Sahara Tribe were very strict, and orcs from other tribes were not allowed to enter.

The clan leader of that small tribe was probably still waiting at the entrance of the Sahara Tribe alongside Maomao and the others.

"Since that’s the case, let’s head back to prepare our belongings. There’s still an entire afternoon. If possible, I’d like to start excavating the cave later," Ji Nuan stood up and walked out of the cave.

Hasa nodded. "Alright. Bring your belongings over here, and I’ll arrange for the orcs who are helping out to wait here for your instructions."

Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan walked out of the stone gates of the Sahara Tribe, and as expected, they saw the middle-aged orc waiting under the shade of a tree, not far from Maomao.

When he noticed Hasa escorting Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan out, he hurriedly stepped forward to greet them.

Ji Nuan immediately waved her hand, signaling Hasa to carry on with his tasks. She and Xiu Yan walked over to Maomao and looked at the middle-aged orc, who was drenched with sweat. Ji Nuan silently nodded in approval at this simple and honest orc. "Clan Leader, we need to excavate caves separately in the Sahara Tribe. We’ll need orcs to help us so that we can finish sooner. Once the caves are done, food will be distributed. Will your tribe’s orcs be willing to come along?"

Work in exchange for food? How could they possibly refuse such a good deal?

The middle-aged orc nodded repeatedly. "Of course we’ll come. We’ll work hard for sure."

When Ji Nuan returned to the tent, she shared the details about the Sahara Tribe with Casa and the others. Then, she packed her belongings and loaded them onto Maomao and the others’ backs.

As they left, she also left five wolf beasts for them.

The three beasts that stayed behind couldn’t help but feel a bit downhearted watching their old team gradually move away. They had lived together for so long, and now they were splitting up.

The middle-aged orc left behind a patrol team of orcs but led the remaining orcs to help Ji Nuan and her group excavate the caves.

Since they were determined to survive the cold season in the desert, Ji Nuan refused to settle for less in matters of food, warmth, and shelter.

When they arrived at Rocky Mountain, the number of orcs Chief Hasa had brought over truly surprised Ji Nuan.

Harvey and another middle-aged orc each led a team of more than thirty orcs, waiting there. Harvey explained that their two hunting teams were resting today.

Plus the orcs from the small tribe, Ji Nuan now essentially had the manpower of three hunting teams.

She divided the excavation work for three large caves among the three teams.

The cave intended for their personal use was left to Xiu Yan to excavate alone. Their cave didn’t need to be too large; a larger one wouldn’t retain warmth as well.

Ji Nuan planned to excavate a bedroom of roughly thirty square meters, and a kitchen of over ten square meters for cooking meals. For storing firewood, a small cave near the well-ventilated outer area would serve as a restroom.

She connected the various caves with doors that were just wide enough for an orc to pass through.

She planned to install doors between the caves to block the flow of warm air.

Xiu Yan’s claws were exceptionally sharp, and within less than half an hour, their bedroom was already completed.

Watching how effortlessly he worked, Ji Nuan couldn’t resist revealing her own claws. She lightly scratched at the stone wall, and although the texture remained somewhat hard, she left a deep groove behind.

Looking at her small claws, she suddenly chuckled. The sensation of suddenly becoming a big shot was undeniably exhilarating!
