Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Ji Nuan nodded, "Let’s go back. We’ll take good care of the little one."

The Orc once again bent his waist in gratitude, gazed lovingly at the little female cub for one last time, before he hurriedly walked out. His mate was still at home taking care of the other two Wolf Beasts; she must be worried sick by now. He needed to get home quickly to tell her their cub was alright.

Watching the Orc leaving in a hurry, Ji Nuan smiled, bent down, and poked the little female cub’s chubby cheek, "Look how worried your father is about you. From now on, you must be careful when you go out to play, okay?"

After saying that, she tucked in the little one with a blanket and stood up to look at Xiu Yan, "Let’s go outside for a bit."

Xiu Yan nodded, then the two tiptoed out of the bedroom.

Placing the honey in the kitchen, Xiu Yan’s deep eyes turned to the little female sitting on the stone stool, "Where will you sleep tonight?"

With a pout, Ji Nuan gestured towards the bedroom, "We’ll sleep in the bedroom, of course. The little female cub is sick, and I’m not comfortable leaving a Beast alone in there with her."

The tall Orc pursed his lips, clearly reluctant, and frowned slightly but finally muttered in agreement, "Alright, then I’ll shift into a cub’s form tonight."

Ji Nuan laughed, "That would be for the best, otherwise your huge size takes up so much space."

Hearing this, the Orc looked at the little female whose face was full of smiles, "Next time it’s just us two, I’ll just stay in my beast form and see how you like having no place to sleep."

Surprised by Xiu Yan’s rare attempt at humor, Ji Nuan looked at him in disbelief.

Xiu Yan came over to sit beside her and with a strong arm, pulled the lightweight female cub into his embrace, resting his resolute chin on Ji Nuan’s shoulder, and his hot breath continuously sprayed on her pale neck, causing Ji Nuan to shrink her neck reflexively.

Pushing the Orc’s head away with her soft little paws, the ticklish feeling around her neck made her voice come out with an involuntary giggle, "What are you doing? That tickles so, haha."

Hearing the little female’s laughter, Xiu Yan’s mouth unconsciously curled into a pleased arc, his strong arms tightening as he hugged Ji Nuan closer, "It’s a bit cold tonight, this is warmer."

Ji Nuan laughingly rolled her eyes at the Beast’s lame excuse, "If it’s cold, go inside the house."

The Orc remained motionless, "I don’t want to move. I just want to sit like this."

It was clear the Orc was being obstinate, not wanting to get up. Ji Nuan could only relax and lean into the broad embrace of the Beast. The towering figure of the Orc completely enveloped Ji Nuan, making her feel as if she were cocooned in a warm quilt. It was so cozy that she began to feel drowsy.

Watching the little female in his arms nibbling on her food like a Giggle Beast, Xiu Yan smiled helplessly, yet still didn’t let go until the little female began to breathe evenly. Only then did Xiu Yan carefully pick up Ji Nuan and smoothly carried her to the bedroom.

Looking at Ji Nuan and the chubby little female cub lying on the kang, a flicker crossed Xiu Yan’s eyes. He wondered when he and Nuannuan would have cubs of their own, hopefully a cute little female cub just like Nuannuan, tender and soft, endearing to the Beasts.

After making sure Ji Nuan was snug under the blankets, Xiu Yan went to wash up before reluctantly shifting into a chubby Little Silver Wolf and nestled at Ji Nuan’s feet to sleep.
