The next morning, Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan got up early. Just as they stepped out of the bedroom to wash up, they saw the orc from the day before already waiting at the courtyard entrance.

Ji Nuan appreciated the orc’s attention to her cub and waved him in, "Come on in, go see the little one first. I’m going to wash up; the cub is still sleeping, so keep it down."

The grateful orc nodded, hurried in, and placed a small basket he was carrying under the pavilion on a stone table: "These are Giggle Beast eggs that Amu asked me to bring over, I heard you really like them, hehe."

Without waiting for Ji Nuan to say anything, he scampered off to the bedroom to see his own cub.

Ji Nuan shook her head helplessly, toothbrush in hand, and went to pick up the basket to take it to the kitchen.

Xiu Yan was in the kitchen stewing some soft, sweet, purple fruit porridge. Seeing Ji Nuan walk in with an entire basket of Giggle Beast eggs, he took it from her, transferring the eggs one by one into his own basket, then he took two big pieces of meat from above the stove and put them inside: "Although these meats aren’t fully cured, they can take them back and continue to hang them."

Once Ji Nuan was safely on the ground, she immediately hopped to the doorway, clinging to the doorframe as she eyed the tall orc inside: "You big bad wolf, always acting so cold, but in truth, you’ve had designs on me for ages."

Xiu Yan, leaning against the stove, looked at the little female seeking a sense of security at the doorframe, his stern handsome face revealing a roguish smile, his brows arching lightly: "My tail is indeed quite big."

No sooner had he spoken than a fluffy, silver wolf’s tail appeared behind him, provocatively flicking in Ji Nuan’s direction.
