100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat

Chapter 65: Forgotten City: The Shore [5]

He had just defeated over three thousand monsters and now was given a new set; ten times the strength of the last, he really needed to say it.

"Give me a break."

Not that he was tired, he wasn’t, it was just that he didn’t plan to waste anymore time here.

He needed to find Chrome before anything bad happened to him and he also needed to get to the castle.

Yet, they don’t want him to pass through.

’The monster mages are one thing, but I feel like there’s another party playing a role in my obstruction.’

Aegon understood it clearly, he knew this wasn’t just about the monster mages anymore. For some reason he felt that another person was also playing a part in keeping him from getting to the castle.

’I can say with full confidence that these mages are not the ones who brought me out of the city. That was someone else’s hand work, and they are probably the ones that placed these mages here.’

While Aegon was thinking of this, a massive gorilla monster began to walk towards him; the ground shook as it did, and debris fell from the wall of the city.

It was the only one that moved while the others stayed still and watched. Seeing this, Aegon thought to himself.

’Coming, one after the other are we?’

The truth is, he wanted to leave here as fast as he could. He had spent much time fighting more monsters than actually doing what he came here for, yet it wasn’t like he could just walk past these monsters and they would let him be.

"Chrome, I need to get to chrome, he hasn’t come out since like I did, so how would I know if he is alright?’

The three hundred feet tall gorilla monster landed its last step at the front of Aegon. It stood tall and Aegon who was at its front looked like an ant close to an elephant; the difference in size was enormous

Aegon raised his head and looked at the monster. It had a cold expression, yet it was ugly. Two pairs of fangs came out of its mouth; two up and two down.

It had the physique like no other, it was possible that it could lift up a fifty story building without breaking a sweat.

It had a strong aura around it, which made anyone who was to face it fall to their feet in fear as the aura was negative and tormenting the heart.

Yet, Aegon faced it unfazed. The hands of the monster were large enough to slap a forest tree, pulling it out of the ground with ease.

If this kind of monster were to be seen by the Awakeners they would classify it as an S-rank monster if not higher.

Aegon shifted his gaze to where the mages were. He wondered why they didn’t just send all the other monsters along so they could end it quickly, yet they didn’t.

It was as if they were planning something/

’It doesn’t matter either way if they are planning something. I will take care of these guys on the ground and come for your mages.’

After he had thought this in his heart, his gaze went back to the gorilla monster and at this moment; the monster had both of its palms locked together and raised up.

Upon seeing this, Aegon suddenly leaped backwards as the monster sent its hands down with a massive force, hitting the ground and shaking it.

Although Aegon had moved away to prevent it from hitting him, the shockwave of the blow spread across the ground even reaching him and making him trip and fall.

This happened so quickly that he could barely jump to evade it, so he was affected and fell to the ground.

The shockwave spread wide that it reached the ocean, pulling the water that came to the shore back into the full ocean, yet while all these happened the other monsters felt no harm.

Aegon saw this and without wasting time he got up to his feet.

’I let my guard down, but they weren’t affected by it?’

His gaze shifted to where the other monsters stood as he wondered, but that was cut short as the gorilla monster started running toward him at full speed, its feet shaking the ground and sand flying up and landing back down.

Seeing its sudden movement, Aegon quickly activated his ability; absolute deflection field.

This didn’t appear like the shifting bubbles, like it did the first time he activated it, but he was the form of an armor suit that it appeared as; covering every part of his moving and allowing for movement.

After the ability had been activated, Aegon wasted no time as he began running toward the gorilla monster.

He had the dagger and his hand while he was running but could barely keep a straight run because of how the ground was shaking/

However, he managed and while he was a couple feet away from the monster, he leaped over its head.

The monster seeing this, raised its hands, trying to get hold of Aegon, but they couldn’t reach all the way back.

This was because Aegon didn’t land on the ground, instead he landed on the gorilla monster’s back.

There he stood and the monster felt his weight on its back even though he weighed nothing to it.

Aegon raised his dagger to strike it on the monster’s back, but just as he raised his hand, a fire ball was directed at it making the dagger fall off his hand.

Aegon felt the blast hit his hand but took no damage, so he turned to see where it had come from and behold there stood the cat-like monster which was once a tiger but now has a massive size that no breed in the cat family can grow to.

It had come out a bit forward, and was blazing with fire all round its body that it was impossible to know where it had struck from.

While Aegon was distracted and busy looking at this monster, the gorilla monster was able to get a hold of him. Aegon struggled but couldn’t release himself.

The gorilla monster held his leg and smashed him on the ground. It didn’t stop there or leave him alone as it still held his leg.

Then it lifted him and sent him flying to the ground again. This continued as the monster would hit him from left to right as if playing with a toy.

After it was done hitting him, he swung Aegon over and over again and while it was finally done, it raised him up to its eye.

Aegon had a smile on his face while looking into the monster’s eyes. His entire body, close to the monster face, was like a nut beside a watermelon when it came to size.

The monster’s eye widened as it saw his smile, but that wasn’t why they widened.

This was because, after all it had done to Aegon, he had no bruises on him and was unaffected.

It was as if he wasn’t just used as a toy and smashed around aimlessly.

Aegon, seeing the shock on the monster’s face, widened his smile and then asked:

"Surprised?"
