Chapter 182: What had the demon of the forest done this time?
"Do not go spouting stuff like that!" Wei Jie ranted at Ming Tao. He swayed his head to the side to look at Mira. "Especially in front of strangers!" He added.
Ming Tao pouted his lips as a matter of factly. "She’s not a stranger, she’s your wife. And most definitely the answer to your horny prayers." He said. Okay, this was fun, Ming Tao thought, it was not fun when Jia Hao did it to me, but it definitely was fun doing it to someone else.
"LET US!" Alpha Wolf Wei Jie said out loud. "Get to to reason I am here." He added in a strained voice.
Ming Tao let a smile curl on his lips. Looking at Wei Jie was like looking in a mirror of his past and he knew it was only a matter of time till this Wolf comes around so he did not bother to mess with him a bit more.
"Sure." Ming Tao said. "But Mira is the key to understanding everything I collected from the evil wench, so you would have to be a good wolf and listen."
Wei Jie let out a sigh, he knew Ming Tao was trying to get under his skin by referring to him as a good wolf and he did not want to give Ming Tao the satisfaction of a reaction. Especially when he was in front of Mira Yang. He did not want her to even see him as someone she could talk to or relate with casually. He had done that once and he got burned so never again.
"As long as she co-operates, then I will be open to listening." Alpha Wolf Wei Jie said. His gaze immediately rested on Mira and the flustered look was gone. All he had was an icy cold gaze that burned into her and threatened to peel her flesh off. Mira swallowed. How Wei Jie switched from that to this to her was something that made her skin crawl. He was intimidating. That stature and iciness surely made her feel threatened. Mira swallowed. She could not even try to be funny because she felt like his jaw would be rigid as rock.
Ming Tao stood up. "I think you are getting the entire thing wrong." He said to Wei Jie while walking to the other side of the room to pick up his fur coat. Ming Tao walked back to Mira then hung his coat over her shoulders to keep her warm and covered. "You need Mira’s tale, not she yours, so as long as you be nice, she will talk to you. So the progress of this rests in your hands." Ming Tao said to Wei Jie.
Wei Jie watched as Ming Tao exchanged words with Mira and helped her up the bed with his hands holding her gently.
It was so odd. This demon in a beast woman’s human form actually looked like a woman. A sane woman. And for once, Alpha Wolf Wei Jie did not see the evilness in her eyes. Instead, she looked soft. Really feminine and soft. He let his eyes rest on Mira for a long time then drifted his gaze lower to her neck. There, he saw bites. Over and over, bites fixed on the demon of the forest’s skin like a second skin.
He knew what those marks were and he could not help but pull his eyes away with annoyance. Those two sure had been busy. Only a demon would be able to manipulate a ruler enough to make him bed her when something as serious as this was on ground. Wei Jie let out a sigh as Ming Tao made his way forward with Mira shielded by his side.
He took two more steps backwards, trying to not even as much as breathe in the air around her in case it was the cause of this plague that befell Lion King Jia Hao and Leading Cheetah Ming Tao.
"Are we clear?" Ming Tao asked Wei Jie when Wei Jie did not say anything to his earlier statement.
Wei Jie lined his eyes over Mira Yang once more then back at Ming Tao. He had no choice but to give in, the demon was not worth a scuffle with his friend. "Sure." Alpha Wolf Wei Jie answered. "I want to know why I am here in the first place and what I need to do." He added. Deep down, this was him saying ’I need to do whatever it is you need from me so I can get far away from this demon as possible and if it meant having to suffer a short while with her, then so shall it be’.
Ming Tao let out a sigh, he caught on the hidden meaning behind Wei Jie’s words. He had lived among Wei Jie long enough to understand the alpha wolf. As long as Mira did not catch on, he was fine with it.
"Good. Now come with me and our wife." Ming Tao said. Wei Jie stepped to the side to let Mira and Ming Tao walk in front of him then watched them pull the door open and walk out of it. He was dressed in a not so flashy attire as his typical princely ones and had a shabby looking cloak over his body. This was as best as he could disguise himself to not be noticed even though he was sure that his white hair was a dead give away, it was also why he took precaution to paint his hair a different colour and have a double head cloak. Alpha wolf Wei Jie pulled the first cloak over his head and hid most of his hair inside of it, before pulling the other cloak over his face. Now, he pulled the attire wrapped around his neck up to secure his mouth and nose. It was a small attire used to block dust so there would be notice awkward about seeing a male dressed like he was wearing one. Wei Jie followed behind Ming Tao and Mira to where they were going, a place within Ming Tao’s home.
He took a deep breath then let out an exhale through the attire. He sure wondered what the demon of the forest had done this time that required him being summoned here to fix it.
