Chapter 181: A whole bunch to handle
Mira exchanged looks between Ming Tao and Wei Jie. She did not know what to say, their faces were so close to hers that it made her feel suffocated, not that she could not breathe, having Wei Jie here just made her temporarily unable to breathe.
"Ming Tao, honey, I need air." Mira said as nicely as she could. This was her subtly hinting that Alpha Wolf Wei Jie was making her feel uncomfortable and nervous and she hoped he understood it.
Ming Tao walked to the side of the bed that Wei Jie was and pushed him backwards a bit before walking to grab onto something that laid in a cupboard. It was a stack of leaves. He held them together firmly and sat by Mira’s side then began to fan her.
"Do you feel better, darling?" Ming Tao questioned, his tone warm. Mira kept on taking deep inhales of air while using her fingers to fan herself too. She nodded.
"Yes, thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing." She murmured back to him. Ming Tao did not stop, he ensured his hand pressure was just enough to not fan her excessively and make her cold or choke on air but just the right amount.
Alpha Wolf Wei Jie watched. He had a perplexed look on his face and a raised brow. He expected to see so many things in his years of living but never once did he expect to see. . . . well. . . . this.
The demon of the forest herself cosy on the Leading Cheetah’s bed and having him attend to her like a doting husband.
Was the world spinning? Alpha Wolf Wei Jie asked himself, or was the world suddenly turned upside down because since when was a demon being treated nicely like a living being and making a ruler attend to her?
Wei Jie had so many questions but he kept it to himself. First, it was the lion king Jia Hao, his close friend who was the first to fall for her and now Ming Tao too? He knew Jia Hao was down bad, but Ming Tao?? Where was the beast man who hated the demon of the forest like his life depended on it? What was this disease this demon was spreading around? Alpha Wolf Wei Jie took two steps back and put a hand over his nose to stop himself from perceiving the air she was surrounded in.
He did not want to contact the disease too. He may be able to watch his tongue while he was here out of respect for his friend Ming Tao but that did not mean he wanted to be near the woman on the bed.
Alpha Wolf Wei Jie took a sniff of the air and his eyes darkened. His brows furrowed into a frown. Ming Tao had told him but he did not want to believe it, the demon of the forest was pregnant. Again.
What had she done to make two rulers fall for her and mate with her? There needed to be some sort of sorcery or dark magic involved because Wei Jie could not just fathom it.
"Can you breathe better now, darling? Should I continue?" Ming Tao asked Mira.
Wei Jie made a face as he watched him talk to her. Ming Tao, you’re a fucking ruler and that thing on your bed is a demon, man up and stop! He said to himself.
"I can breathe now but I don’t want you to stop, but at the same time, I don’t want your hands to tire out. They’re one of my favourite things about you." Mira said.
A half grin formed on Ming Tao’s lips as he bit his lower lip. "Don’t worry, these fingers will not be getting tired one bit."
Alpha Wolf Wei Jie’s face paled. At first, it was confusion. Then, it grew into understanding. Now, it was just disgust and annoyance as a picture tainted his mind and he did not want to imagine it. He shit his eyes closed and raised his hand up then used two fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose. "For the love of everything, can you two please stop?" He groaned in frustration. This was when Mira and Ming Tao turned to face him. Mira had absolutely forgotten he was here and he was the reason she needed to breathe in the first place.
"Sorry." She muttered under her breath.
"No, do not be." Ming Tao immediately stated, returning his gaze to Mira. He redirected his attention to Wei Jie and raised a brow. "Can you not? She’s pregnant. Give her some time to breathe and be pampered." His voice was sterner and defensive as he spoke to Wei Jie.
Wei Jie rolled his eyes before pulling them open. Demons do NOT need pampering, he said to himself but shrugged in front of Ming Tao. "Sure. Just keep whatever," he pointed his hand forward and spread all of his fingers outwardly then moved them in a circular direction. "That," he emphasised, "is away from me." Alpha Wolf Wei Jie completed his sentence.
Ming Tao let out a sigh. Seeing Wei Jie’s actions reminded him of how awful he was to Mira. It irked him and he hoped Wei Jie would change too because he would not stand it if anyone tried to make his wife feel insecure or hurt her feelings. No one should dare, not even the fellow husband. That would make it even worse, Mira’s husbands should worship her not the opposite and he knew the rest had a long way to go.
Ming Tao’s face flattened as he stared at Wei Jie. "Out of all the people who should be saying this, you horny bunch of shit should not be among." Ming Tao countered.
Wei Jie’s face flared and his ears twitched. He did not know why Ming Tao talked about his horniness in front of the demon but he did not appreciate it one bit!

Mira only swallowed reading this, she did not know about being ’right on track’ because this wolf right here seemed like he would be a whole bunch to handle.
