Chapter 180: Wei Jie
Ming Tao felt his heart race. Could that be Jia Hao? Did the beast men find him?
Or could it be the other two? The ones he sent to meet Alpha Wolf Wei Jie? After all, Wei Jie wanted to come in a disguise as they had discussed before but Ming Tao could not tell.
The message passed on to him was vague and although he liked the vagueness, it also made his mind wander.
"Thank you, you are dismissed." Ming Tao said. He heard the sound of footsteps faint into nothing then let out a sigh.
"So you are not okay with water touching me but you are okay with a beast man coming to the stream to pass on a message to you while I am naked?" Mira blurted out without thinking. She had questions too about who the guest was but she said the first thing that came to her mind
Ming Tao stared at her for a second before responding. "He was outside, far away from anywhere that would give blurred view or a view of you at all."
Mira scoffed. "The same thing!" She stated.
Ming Tao titled his head to the side to stare at her. Was she. . . . not happy about the fact that someone was here and he did not react or was it something else? He could not tell, and just a moment ago, she was telling him how the beast maidens washed her with their hands all over her skin. Mira sure was a tough riddle to solve, Ming Tao thought.
"Do you want to come out with me or do you want me to meet the guest alone?" Ming Tao asked.
Mira’s breath caught. The guest she expected to be here were one of two people, Lion King Jia Hao or Alpha Wolf Wei Jie. Both were her husbands but one of the was in love with her while the other probably still wanted her dead so the answer was easy.
"I will wait here, don’t worry about me." Mira said. If it was Jia Hai, Ming Tao would tell her or bring him to her. Although Mira did not understand why Ming Tao sent beast people to catch up to Jia Hao, Ming Tao left that detail out but she was excited to see him.
And the other husband too, of course, Mira added in her mind.
[ Liar, Liar pants on fire! ] System chimed
Mira did not want to respond, well, system was not exactly wrong. The last time she met Wei Jie he did not even spare her a second glance. That dude was scary.
[ And so is his cock! ]
Mira’s face reddened. My word, system! Watch your speech, I am a baby! Mira said in her mind.

Mira’s face flattened. As far as she knew, she was stuck with system and system would not go away nor stop teasing the hell out of her.
Ming Tao stood up. "I will come and meet with you soon." Ming Tao pointed a finger at her, his sweet, loving tone change into a stern one at his next words. "Do not think of doing anything strenuous when I am gone."
Mira nodded. "Yes, Mighty Cheetah, sir! Your subject will abide by your command." She put a hand to the side of her head like a salut.
Ming Tao shook his head and grinned as he walked away, just what would he do with her?

Mira stared at the ceiling, she had been idle for way too long and being that idle meant that her body was itching to do something. Something pregnant women should not do and something Ming Tao would probably spank her ass for.
Mira did not know why but she was crazing gum. The kind that came from trees. She wanted to perceive it, or she just wanted honey, it was either but her entire body told her to go to a tree and climb it and no one needed to tell her that it was a foolish idea.
"Going to hunt for honey when I am pregnant and climb trees is stupid, right, system?" Mira asked in a suppressed and bored tone. She took a deep inhale and let it out as a huff. She had finished washing herself and now, there was nothing to do, at least, nothing that she could do. Since Hye Yang was still roaming around, Mira decided to stay on lockdown till Ming Tao has achieved his plan, his plan was way better than hers anyway and since a man was willing to work, why not just let him? "Right, system?" Mira called again when system did not answer.
[ Not at all! Climbing trees would increase your mobility host! In fact, you should go diving down a waterfall and see what happens next, host!
You may just die for real. ] system chimed.
This made Mira chuckle. "I hate you, be nice to me, I am pregnant."
[well, the pregnant woman in question wants to climb trees. ] system responded.
"Maybe it is what the baby wants related out of my mouth." Mira argued in a bored tone. She stretched her hand up to the ceiling of Ming Tao’s bed chambers. She was bored out of her wits and Ming Tao had not come back.
Mira did not want to go and look for him and she had no idea who this guest was either nor where they would be. She should have just agreed to go with him if she knew she would be obsessed over it this much!

Mira heard footsteps. Her upper body jumped up the bed and she sat up straight. Her nose caught on a familiar scent and another draw near. She could not tell who that other scent belonged to, it smelled so familiar yet so distant at the same time.
Mira felt a shiver run down her spine as the footsteps advanced closer. Ming Tao’s scent was easy to come by but she could not get a single clue who the husband was and it irked her. Was she to smile or was she to pretend like she needed aid? Or was she to do both?
If it was Jia Hao, she would do both, he would easily want to make her life easier, but with Wei Jie, Mira felt like he would throw rocks at her if she said she had back pain. She swallowed.
"Is the demon in there?" Mira heard coming from the other end of the wall.
"Do not call her that, she is my wife and is carrying my cub." Responded to the earlier voice. A shudder immediately ran down Mira’s entire body. She already knew who that husband was. "And be nice to my wife, that is a warning." Ming Tao added.
Now, Mira could see their shadows look from underneath the door. Since they were still outside and communicating, it was not too late for Mira to escape. She could jump out of the window to get away from the uncomfortable situation she knew was sure to come. The alpha wolf beast man had not even seen her yet he had already called her a demon.
Now imagine if he sees me pregnant. Then he would refer me as legion or a demon mother of demons, Mira swallowed as that thought ran through her mind. It was too late to jump out of the window so she thought of the next possible way to avoid meeting Alpha Wolf Wei Jie. It was to fake her death, aka, fake sleep.
Mira heard the sound of a soft thud and immediately fell her body back to the bed. The door to Ming Tao’s bed chambers came open and the mixed scent of the two men filled the room. Mira shut both of her eyes immediately.
She waited a bit. No one spoke. She could still perceive them but she heard nothing. This made her open an eye to peak. Dammit! From this laying down position, I cannot see a thing outside where my eyes can see, Mira said to herself.
She decided to raise her head up with her open eye. Her body froze immediately. Mira did not know how any of them got to her without making so much as sound, but right in front of her face were two men. Two beast men. Two she knew very well. Her husbands. Alpha Wolf Wei Jie and Mighty Cheetah Ming Tao.
Mira gulped.. she did not expect to be caught red handed this easily. Operation fake sleep had failed.
"Hey." She mumbled with embarrassment in a suppressed tone. Wei Jie stared at her then raised a brow in distaste.
"Well hello to you too, wife."
