Chapter 179: Alpha Wolf Wei Jie
Mira felt her heart thump violently in her chest. Wei Jie was coming. Her husband Wei Jie, the one who detested her and did not even give her more than a passing glance at her own celebration for birthing the lion cubs.
Mira swallowed. Ming Tao had told her everything and while she understood his judgement, she did not know what to think. It felt as though she was going to be having two Hye Yangs crawling all over and breathing down her neck because one thing was for sure, Alpha Wolf Wei Jie had a profound hatred for the old owner of this body.
What a way to spend my morning, Mira thought, I thought I would be enjoying what would feel like a honeymoon yet here I am agitated as I anticipate my own husband’s arrival. It felt like slowly waiting for an execution.
[Well, on the bright side, if he wanted to kill you, he would have done that long ago, host!]
Mira’s face flattened. That was some good news, she supposed? She could not tell. There was an underlaying fact that her husband wanted her alive, so maybe that was a good thing.
[Do not mistake my words, host! More than half of your husbands still want you dead!

Mira could not help but pale at this information, it was nothing she did not already know but hearing it again sure was not the best thing at the moment.
"System, where is my reward for mating with the Leading Cheetah?" Mira questioned instead, her attempt to change the conversation.
[Your 1000 system points were allocated to you and added to your system points balance last night after the task was done, host!] System chimed.
Oh. I must have slept right through it, Mira said to herself. Did I also sleep right through my reward for getting pregnant? Mira asked.
System did not answer. She let out a sigh, of course system had its momentary uselessness!

If Mira could, she would through a pillow at that screen but she had no pillows nor would it hit anything, she was sure it would pass right through the screen.
"This is the longest I’ve seen you bathe, my darling wife." Snapped Mira out of her thoughts. She was in the stream and she had no idea Ming Tao was right there watching her. Actually, she knew, she just forgot that he was right there.
"Hello you." Mira murmured under her breath. She needed the water’s warmth to cool her body after everything. It was after yesterday Mira accepted the fact that she was a horn dog through and through because she could not stop thinking about sex and having sex and even now, despite her thought dilemma, the thought was still on her mind and all it took was just the voice of the one being who looked like the perfect epitome of a beast man created to be breeded, only she was the one who was going to be breeded.
"Hey." Ming Tao said. He walked closer to her then sat just by the bank of the stream. His hands reached out for Mira’s bath supplies then he held her clothes as well. "Sleep okay?" He asked.
Mira turned around to face him. He was talking like they did not just have a full blown conversation about his plan and Alpha Wolf Wei Jie coming over but she nodded. "Yes I did, quite well actually. Did you?" Mira asked Ming Tao.
Ming Tao let out a sigh as a half smile curled on his lips. "That depends. The person I was with last night rested on my hand so much and made it a pillow that it feels so numb." Ming Tao dropped her clothes onto his lap then put a hand on the shoulder of his other hand. He began to massage it.
Mira stared at him for a long second before scooping water into her fingers and splashing water onto him from the stream. Ming Tao chuckled, he did not shift away but pulled his hands before him to block the water from touching his skin which did absolutely zero what it was intended to do. His body was still wet and he was thoroughly soaked.
"From now on, you sleep on the other end of the bed or on the floor." Mira scoffed, she turned her head away in a sashay.
This made Ming Tao’s grin widen, seeing her this way was cute but he knew Mira could be stern enough to actually make him sleep on the floor. Or worse, in another room. He did not want to sleep in a place where she did not stay. "Relax, I am not complaining, darling." Ming Tao ran his eyes down Mira’s body, she still had his love bites all over her skin. "Besides, if there was one person I want to make my hands frozen, it’s you."
Mira spared him a glance. No! She would not be swayed by his sweet tongue. She crossed her hands over her chest. "Whatever." She stated then resumed bathing. Ming Tao just watched her as she did her thing. Now he wondered why he did not wait long enough with her and wash her himself before, he began to feel jealous of the maidens and the elder beast woman who took care of his wife when he was away. He wondered how much they saw and how much they touched. His eyes narrowed. He wondered if Mira let them touch her.
"What are you thinking of, looking at me with such intensity?" Mira asked, interrupting his thoughts. "No, I will not let you get in the bath with me, you’ve already had yours." She added. That was not what was on his mind but he could to deny that he would hop right into the stream this instant and bathe with her even if he had had a bath ten times over.
Now he was jealous of the water too.
"Ming Tao." Mira called.
"Nothing major. Just wondering why the water gets to touch you and I don’t." He said.
Mira blinked. She looked dumbfounded and could not believe it hat she just heard. She looked at the man whose ass was pressed by the river bank and who was nicely dressed in his typical attire yet here he was talking about water touching her skin. "I will smack your ass if you say that again." Mira scolded. Her tone was not harsh.
Ming Tao’s cheeks reddened when he heard that. Ah! Right, he was a masochist, Mira said to herself in her mind. "It is water, I have to bathe." She said instead.
"Yes, I know, but it is all over you and I am not. Then I am sure those beast maidens were all over you too."
Oh, so he was jealous of everything and everyone who saw her naked. Mira decided to have her fun with this. "I felt their breast too. And they had their hands on mine. You assigned them to me, remember? To not let me lift a single finger so they did everything for me. Every single washing." Mira ensured to highlight the everything so his mind would wander. At least they had the dignity to let her wash her behind and between her legs otherwise it would have been weird for her too.
Ming Tao swallowed. He wanted to order their hands be cut off but he was the one who ordered them to take care of her. He tightened his jaw, trying to keep his head leveled. "Good thing they did their job right." He stated under his breath.
Mira paled. Her rage bait did not work and that sucked. Was she losing her charm? Or was he pretending to be not concerned? Because just a few seconds ago, he was concerned about water touching her skin.
Mira parted her lips to say something when Ming Tao cut her short. "I have something I want to tell you." He said. He looked shy. Nervous even and Mira noticed his ears twitch. His tail waggled too.
"Go on." Mira said softly.
"After hearing you speak. . . " Ming Tao swallowed. "Strange things, I decided to follow you and do it."
Mira raised a brow. She did not understand what he meant by ’follow you and do it’ but she knew they did not understand everything she said because, well, their worlds were centuries apart.
"What do you mean?" Mira asked.
"I formed a word, Mira!" Ming Tao beamed. He looked so excited. "Two actually. I formed two words!"
Mira smiled, this was surely interesting to hear, she wanted to hear it. "Tell me, what words did you form, my darling husband?" Mira asked.
Ming Tao opened his mouth to speak but the sound of a masculine voice interrupted him. "Forgive my intrusion Mighty Cheetah but the people you sent on a task have arrived and with an important guest."
