Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate

Chapter 44: Ch-44: A massive haul

[Ding Dong]

[You have defeated the Territory Lord, Zombie Winged Knight]

[You have conquered the Dungeon: Apocalyptic World]

[You have been rewarded with 100,000 tons of Obsidian]

[You have completed an almost impossible feat]

[You have defeated an enemy two tiers higher than your own]

[You have been rewarded with 2 million experience points]

Hiss.

Victor sucked in a deep breath as he read the rewards he had received and thought, With this reward, I can buy better blueprints and finally start raising a powerful army.

Victor then felt a connection being established with the dungeon. He turned into lightning and landed on the damaged roof of the building where the others were.

Victor looked at them as they looked at him with awe, respect, and great fear.

"Senior, is the fight over?" The Lord walked forward and asked in a cautious tone to avoid offending Victor.

"Hmm, it’s over. I have conquered the dungeon. Now there will be no more attacks on the town," Victor said with a smile, and the soldiers cheered.

"As expected of a Senior Warlock!"

"Long live Senior Warlock!"

The Lord sighed in relief and looked at Victor with complex emotions. He was envious that Victor would gain access to a dungeon, which was filled with resources. If it had been a non-Warlock, he would have demanded a share, but now he did not dare to after witnessing Victor’s prowess.

"Thank you, Senior Warlock. Meteor Town will be grateful to you. As I promised, you can visit the treasury and take whatever you like as a reward," the Lord said while bowing his head.

"Good, I will catch up with you in a bit. I have something to do here and will send you back first," Victor said. He did not wait for their reply and waved his hand, sending them out of the dungeon. This was a special authority of the owner of a dungeon—they could decide who could enter or not, sense who was inside, and also send them out forcibly.

After everyone was outside, Victor restarted the dungeon and watched as the Zombie Gunmen and Zombie Knights started to respawn.

Victor used his pupil technique on them, and his eyes widened.

[Zombie Knight]

[Tier: 0]

[Level: 40]

[Drops: 1 Gold Coin (15%), Tier 0 Monster Core (5%), Tier 0 Knight Summoning Contract (0.0005%), 1 Ton of Obsidian (0.0001%)]

[Zombie Gunmen]

[Tier: 0]

[Level: 55]

[Drops: 1 Gold Coin (15%), Tier 0 Monster Core (5%), Tier 0 Gunmen Summoning Contract (0.0005%), 1 Ton of Obsidian (0.0001%)]

Victor clenched his fist upon seeing this, and his face flushed with excitement as he mumbled, "Finally, a steady supply of troops and obsidian."

[Ding Dong]

[Daily Limit has been triggered]

Victor, seeing this, furrowed his eyebrows as more text appeared. He knew many dungeons had limits on the resources that could be earned from them daily. He just hoped the limit would not be too small.

------------

Dungeon: Apocalyptic World (Resource Daily Limit)

Tier 0 Knight Summoning Contract (0/100)

Tier 0 Gunmen Summoning Contract (0/100)

Obsidian per ton (0/1000)

--------

Seeing the information, Victor’s furrowed brows relaxed a bit. Two hundred troops daily might not seem like much, but within a few months, he would have an army comparable to noble families, equipped with powerful mechs—compared to his current pitiful army.

"Well, let’s farm the monsters before I exit," Victor mumbled as he turned into lightning and started attacking, and notifications began flashing on his retina.

[Ding Dong]

[100% Drop Rate has been triggered]

[You have received Tier 0 Knight Summoning Contract]

[You have received Tier 0 Gunmen Summoning Contract]

[You have received 1 ton of Obsidian]

[You have received Tier 0 Knight Summoning Contract]

[You have received Tier 0 Gunmen Summoning Contract]

[You have received...]

Victor kept fighting as notifications continued flashing, but he completely ignored them and maintained his relentless assault.

30 minutes later

"Inventory," Victor mumbled as a new panel appeared.

[Inventory: Tier 0 Gunmen Summoning Contract (x100), Tier 0 Knight Summoning Contract (x100), 100,100 tons of Obsidian...]

"Nice, time to leave," Victor said as he closed the inventory, and within moments, he was enveloped in magical energy and disappeared into the portal.

"Ah, it’s been half an hour... could it be something is wrong?" Daphne said anxiously, looking at the portal.

"Why are you so worried about him?" the Lord looked at his daughter with a raised eyebrow, and she averted her eyes. Seeing this, the Lord snorted.

"Lord, look!"

A voice echoed through the graveyard as Daphne and the Lord looked at the coffin where the portal was.

The portal, which once radiated an aura of pure magic, now visibly started to weaken. Cracks began spreading across the coffin of his deceased father.

"The portal’s closing..." the Lord murmured, trying to comprehend the situation.

"Father!"

Daphne appeared beside her father, watching the portal with curious eyes, until the coffin shattered into pieces and the portal vanished completely.

’Glad I moved my father’s corpse, or else the bones would have been obliterated,’ the Lord thought inwardly as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. If that had happened, he did not know how he would have faced his father in the afterlife.

"Where did the portal go?" Daphne asked in a tense voice, but before anyone could reply—

Buzz.

Before they could fully process what had happened, everyone there was caught off guard when a portal suddenly appeared a short distance from them.

From within it, Victor slowly emerged, looking at the crowd.

"Senior Warlock, is everything resolved? Will the town get attacked again?" Daphne asked.

"No, it’s over. I have dealt with it," Victor said.

"That’s great," Daphne said as she patted her ample chest.

"I would like to thank you again, Senior Warlock. If you were not here, I dare not think what would have happened to the city," the Lord shivered as he thought of the consequences if their luck had been bad and Victor had not been present in the town during the attack.

"It’s fine, honestly," Victor said.

An idea suddenly flashed in the Lord’s mind, and he quickly said with a mischievous smile, "I know! You can have my daughter! And if you don’t want to make her your wife, she can be your concubine!"

"Uh..."

Victor looked at the Lord with a baffled expression, but before he could even respond, the Lord looked at Daphne and asked her, "What do you think of becoming his mistress, Daphne?"

"I am willing," she mumbled in a low but clear voice, her face flushed.

Victor coughed loudly to get their attention and said, "Excuse me. I am flattered by your offer, but I have no interest. I barely just met her."

"Then you can stay here to get to know each other," the Lord said.

"Unfortunately, I have to leave today. I have something very important to do," Victor said, as he had no intention of marrying or even taking a random girl as a concubine. Sure, if he was not in a hurry, he might have indulged in a one-night stand, but he had no intention of forming attachments.

"Ah, is that so? It’s a shame," the Lord said with regret as he looked at his disappointed daughter, but then changed the topic.

"By the way, I will properly reward you for helping us once the preparations are complete," the Lord then said.

30 minutes later

Victor was waiting for the Lord to finish his preparations in the living room.

A few minutes later, the door opened, and the Lord entered and gestured to Victor.

"Please, follow me," the Lord said as he turned around and began walking away. Victor followed closely until they reached a staircase and started descending downward.

Must be an underground vault, Victor thought, and he was right. After walking for some time, they stopped before a massive steel door.

The Lord brought out his key to disable the magical protection. Even though it resembled modern vaults, the security was magical, as the technology of this world could not defend against magical attacks.

"Please, Senior," the Lord gestured as Victor walked inside, and his eyes were dazzled by the mountain of gold inside.

"Senior, this gold should be worthless to you. Let me take you to the deepest part where the true treasures are kept," the Lord assumed that, in Victor’s eyes, gold would be useless, as Warlocks never lacked wealth.

Victor swallowed his words and maintained a nonchalant expression, but inwardly he was cursing. ’Holy, so much gold. They have more gold than the Silvernum Barony. How low did the Barony fall under my ancestors’ hands?’

According to common sense, as a noble, he should have far more wealth than this, but even the Lord of a town had more gold than him. But then his expression turned neutral as he was reminded of his cheat—the 100% drop rate—and that he could gain wealth even greater than the royal family given time.

Soon, they entered the end of the vault and saw many items placed inside glass boxes.
