Chapter 290: Ch-290: Titans (2)
Just as Victor was about to say something, his pupils shrank to the size of needles.
"Victor!" Amber shouted when the titan flung Victor to the side.
"Ugh!" Victor grunted as he was flung a distance away, feeling as though he had been struck by a mountain. He spat out blood.
Olivia, Andrew, and Rachel also ran outside, and the first thing they saw was Victor being flung away and buried under the debris.
"Damn," Rachel cursed, grimacing as she watched this unfold, and muttered, "He has to be dead, right?"
"I hope not. He’s talented," Andrew said, looking at the rubble.
"Looks like he’s still alive," Olivia said as her eyes settled on Victor and she saw him slightly bruised. Then, suddenly, her pupils constricted to the size of needles when she saw three large black figures descending from the sky.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Gulp.
Andrew and Rachel’s eyes widened, and even Olivia swallowed hard as they broke out in a cold sweat while staring at the gigantic behemoths before them.
"I was thinking of giving them a hand, but it seems we have our hands full," Andrew said with a stiff smile as he looked at the giant behemoths.
"Well, we don’t have much choice anyway." Rachel’s eyes narrowed as she raised her hand, and large amounts of mana gathered around her. "Undead Dragons!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, the ground beneath them shook, and gigantic dragons made of white bones emerged from underground, appearing around them.
Andrew’s eyes widened, and he asked, "When could you summon so many undead dragons?"
Seeing Andrew staring at her with his mouth agape, Rachel tilted her chin upward and said, "I was doing a mission for an NPC and found the corpses of dead dragons, so I added them to my army. I will teach these monsters a lesson!"
"Don’t be too overconfident. Even though these monsters are only Tier 0, don’t forget that monsters naturally have higher stats than humans, and something feels off about them," Olivia said in a cold voice, snapping Rachel out of her thoughts. Rachel nodded solemnly and said, "I will test the waters first."
"Bone Spear!" Rachel said, and a large spear made of bones shot out from the ground and impaled the behemoth. However, everyone frowned when they saw that the giant black titan did not even flinch at the attack and removed the bone spear from its body. The next moment—
"Fuck!"
"Are you kidding me?"
"What kind of bullshit is this?"
All three of them cursed upon seeing the titan’s actions.

’So I need to kill it with one shot.’ Victor frowned as he read the description and looked at the titan that Rachel had impaled. He saw it devour the bone spear and grow larger.
"Holy shit, where did so many titans come from?" Ruby’s eyes nearly bulged out when she saw Olivia and the others engaged with the titans. It was not only them, but she could also see that large titans had appeared across the entire city and were wreaking havoc everywhere.
"Fuck, how are we going to deal with them?" Valerie cursed with a pale face.
"Watch out, Valerie!" Ruby shouted. While everyone’s eyes were focused on Victor, who had just been flung away, the titan quickly moved toward Valerie and punched at her.
Valerie’s throat bobbed when she saw the menacing eyes staring at her, and her mind went blank as she watched the gigantic fist descend toward her.
Valerie’s eyes widened as she could not react and could only watch helplessly as the fist descended. She closed her eyes, preparing to be smashed into a paste.
"Huh?" Valerie was surprised that she did not feel any pain and slowly opened her eyes.
Valerie’s eyes widened when she saw a familiar figure standing in front of her, and her face flushed crimson with excitement as she shouted, "Victor!"
Victor, wearing red armor, had already used his Bloodline powers to alter his stats and increase his defensive attributes.
"How the hell did he block this fist? It’s Tier 1!" Ellie shouted in disbelief as she looked at Victor like he was a monster.
Ruby’s eyes moved toward the giant fist being blocked by the armor he was wearing, and she thought, ’Just what kind of armor is this, and how strong are you?’
Victor looked at Ruby and replied, "I am not strong. It’s just this armor I got from an NPC’s corpse, which boosts my stats and allows me to fight a Tier 2 opponent."
Amber, who heard Victor’s words, twitched her lips. She knew he was making things up and using the armor as a cover.
"It’s true. Even I was lucky enough to get similar armor." Amber also used this chance to turn the lie to her own advantage and donned a random suit of armor.
Ruby looked between the two enviously and said, "Damn, why can’t I be this lucky?"
"Impossible," Julian, who was watching through a camera, muttered when he saw Victor blocking the attack. He knew that even someone at Tier 2 would have difficulty blocking it, and even if they did, they would at least be pushed back. Yet the attack could not move Victor even an inch from his spot.
"Just what kind of freak is this guy? If not for his flame Bloodline, I would have suspected this guy was Faceless," Julian cursed under his breath before muttering, "Go, my tame beasts! Kill him!"
Julian commanded the Tier 1 titan he had received upon joining the organization.
Roar!
The titan roared as it received the command and charged toward Victor.
"Moonlight Slash!" Seeing this, Victor summoned a sword from his inventory and launched a white arc from it.
Bang!
The arc struck the titan, and the impact caused the giant to skid several meters away from the group.
"What a formidable sword technique!" Ruby said in awe. She also had a few weapon skills, but they were nowhere near as powerful as Victor’s.
"Holy, not only does he have powerful armor, but now he even has a sword skill. Is he blessed by the Goddess of Luck or something?" Ellie complained.
Valerie shot them a weird look and thought, ’I wonder how they will react if they knew he has multiple Warlock Bloodlines and is Faceless.’
"Troublesome," Victor muttered with a frown when he saw no damage on its body. "Let’s increase the power."
"Moonlight Slash, Flame Infusion," Victor muttered. This time, he added the flames from his Bloodline and infused them into the attack, unlike the previous one, where he had held back.
Shing!
An even larger and thicker arc left his sword this time, accompanied by blue flames, and headed toward the titan.
The onlookers, including Julian, who had previously been watching from afar with a smug expression, now had looks of terror on their faces as they sensed the destructive power within that slash.
The titan, on the other hand, looked at the incoming slash indifferently and punched straight at it.
BOOM!
Victor’s pupils constricted, and for the first time, there was a flicker of solemnity in his gaze.
When the smoke cleared, just like before, there was not a single scratch on its body, as it healed rapidly.
"How is this possible?" Amber’s eyes widened when she saw this. Normally, an attack of this level should have been enough to kill a Tier 2 trash. If not for her strong willpower, she would have cursed and unleashed her own ice powers without restraint.
Julian, who was watching from afar, knew that the previous slash could have killed dozens of people like him instantly, without even giving them a chance to scream. Now, seeing it prove completely ineffective, he felt a smug sense of satisfaction and became even more certain of his decision to join Cipher.
"Roar!" Suddenly, the huge behemoth roared, and black mist appeared around its body, quickly condensing into black armor similar to that of medieval knights. A black halberd appeared in its hand.
Gulp.
Everyone swallowed hard and felt a wave of pure terror. They could feel that the strength of the titan—which had already brought them to the brink of despair—had increased even further.
"Huff." Victor took a deep breath as he also felt a tremor, then looked at the girls.
"You all go back. This is going to be dangerous. I won’t be able to save you if you get caught," Victor said.
"Right, we’ll deal with the other titans," Amber said as she left with the others.
