Chapter 93: Spiritual Inspiration
When Fengyu looked at the few cores required to push its bloodline, he was quite tempted.
But thinking of the pros and cons of doing so, he quickly stopped himself.
Since Zimu had reached the second stage already, there was no need to force this.
He looked at the other text – the notification of having gained an Inherited Spell.
Mother Duck awakened the Innate Ability, ’Mother of all Ducks’. After a round of asking, he got to know that this ability enhanced her bloodline to truly contain all possible outlines.
Now, the chance of her giving birth to a unique bloodline was basically guaranteed if the circumstances allowed.
Fengyu had various ideas for this but didn’t act immediately.
The Spell he gained was shorter – ’Duck Reproduction Enhancement,’ a rather lengthy and generic sounding spell, quite different from his previous spells.
But its effect was no less!
Using it on a duck, its reproduction will directly be enhanced in every way. The spell combined abundant vitality, spiritual power and a conversion of everything into bloodline power during the process of giving birth.
Combined with other spells Fengyu had used before, he could now confidently say that experiments no longer fully relied on luck. With enough time and countless spell castings, he could definitely awaken a special duck.
Unfortunately he didn’t have the time nor energy to do so.
So in the end, he could only tell Mother Duck that she could continue as she did before.
When he said so, she shook her head, telling him, "My power is special. I can feel my body gathering a special energy that should allow me to directly give birth to a special duck. It’s best if I don’t give birth to new ducks except for when I am sure to give birth to a new duck."
Fengyu was surprised but respected this choice, telling Mother Duck that she had the freedom to use anything in the field she needed to reproduce and give birth to a new duck. She could even directly ask him to cast spells to give her some insight into birthing.
She directly took upon this offer and asked him to cast the Spiritual Absorption Spell on her once a day.
Seeing this, Fengyu had a feeling of finally finding a companion in the cold days of experimentation – he no longer had to try and create new bloodlines on his own. At least now he could gain help.
Done with everything, he now had the time to pay attention to the blinking image in front of him, the image which he had tried to complete for some time.
The image had transformed fully – from the previous five ducks cycling, it actually turned into a colourful feather egg – the same as the crest on Mother Duck’s chest.
Formed from countless feathers, it looked truly beautiful.
What surprised Fengyu more was that five of these feathers had manifested more solidly – a silver-edged white feather, a feather with blue rain drops, a feather with a white foot symbol, a feather seemingly consisting of a white mist and a white feather with a fire pattern rising from one end to the other in the shape of a cone.
"As I thought, the origin of my path starts with breeding, and the origin of each beast bloodline is the mother.
It’s directly in the name, ’Origin Bloodline,’ but it seems that at times of deep comprehension, the most obvious things are seemingly hidden.
Now, this image, what is the meaning behind it?" Fengyu looked at the image and stretched his hand, touching it with his finger tips.
To his surprise it had the feeling of thin paper, somehow soft and illusory yet also real.
After just a moment, it transformed into a colourful light that flew right into his body – skipping skin and flesh and somehow directly entering his lower dantian!
A cultivator has three dantians, in the Qi Refining Stage one is only able to see the lower dantian.
Right as the image entered his dantian, it reverted back to its form, becoming a colourful feather egg in the sky of his dantian, standing far above his Qi Bowls.
A colourful light rose up to his mind, memories and knowledge appearing out of nowhere.

Spiritual Inspirations are the manifested comprehension of cultivators when observing the wonders of the world or comprehending something unique to themselves.
In my case, it’s both – I have observed the wonder of birth and comprehended the path of breeding and mutation.

Fengyu looked shocked at this number.
Every spell he used on ducks would have double the effect.
A single spell had the effect of two spells, this was easily understandable.
He quickly moved to the ducks and used his spells right away, wanting to experiment and gain an understanding of what it meant to have a 100% boost and how much he would gain from it.

A month passed by rapidly as Fengyu experimented one by one with the various spells.
His initial excitement didn’t cool off at all –
Previously when it took him the whole day, straining his body and dantian to take care of the 30 Spirited Ducks, now it was quite good, without any strain. He could even feel that doing more would be fine, but he stopped himself.
After Mother Duck decided not to give birth to new ducks anymore, Fengyu simply chose two female ducks and made them advance quickly, not missing a single month.
Now, he gained a total of 30 high-quality Spirited Ducks monthly.
And even more important – his Egg-Inducing Spell, which had just reached the Minor Accomplishment, directly jumped from the 25% it raised the duck egg production to 50%!
At the Entry Stage it was 10%, though the learning and everything didn’t leave a big impact.
Currently, he gained 2.025% of cultivation every year!
