Chapter 104: Slaughter
Suzie’s werewolf form was different from others, it was more hunched, she was almost standing on all fours like a wolf.
She was still a werewolf with hands instead of front paws but from a distance one might mistake her for a large wolf due to her posture.
She sat like a majestic wolf glaring at her enemies, then she howled to the sky and hundreds of silver spheres appeared in the air above her.
Their shine was stronger almost creating visible rays of silver light. Their presence chilled the hearts of the vampires.
" Oh she’s really pissed." John smiled bitterly. " It’s time I go all out too." Even with his defence.
He couldn’t handle so many vampires without taking any damage. He too transformed into his werewolf form.
His was the largest, almost as large as Adrian’s werewolf form. His round shield which was his second ability grew larger as well.
The others saw this and each of them took their true werewolf form. The vampires took a step back.
Lokna smiled bitterly, ’ Shit, these guys are nuts.’ he realised how strong these wolves were.
Suzie attacked, dozens of spheres attacked the vampires next to her, the level 2 vampires managed to survive the first barrage.
Nearly 30 level 1 vampires had their heads blown to pieces. Lokna took the worst of it, almost 300 spheres flew at him.
They turned into silver streaks across the air, he jumped back to dodge and the forest for nearly a hundred metres was devastated by the attack.
It sounded like bombs were going off, trees and dust flew through the air covering hundreds of metres.
When the dust cleared, instead of a forest what appeared was a land of broken trees and craters.
The spheres appeared in the sky above Lokna, " Shit." It was too late to dodge, his strings intertwined above him forming a large net.
The red hue around them grew stronger and more visible. The spheres fell like a rain of death.
Cling cling cling cling, the sound of metal against metal echoed for kilometres. The spheres failed to break through the net.
However unlike last time, the strings also couldn’t cut the spheres. Lokna’s fingers were mangled as a result.
As a vampire, damage of this level was nothing to worry about, the issue was that she attacked faster than he can heal.
He tied his strings around a distant tree and yanked himself dodging the rest of the spheres but they chased after him.
Blood flew, two holes appeared on his stomach, he coughed up blood. ’ Damnit, they’re faster.’
This time he failed to dodge them by swinging around, not only were there too many but they were much faster as well.
Instead of constantly dodging he used his free hand to defend against them. The spheres collided with his strings over and over again.
His fingers kept breaking and healing, he used the force of those attacks to move further and further away.
Lokna had realised something in this battle, they had no chance of winning against these monsters.
He looked at the vampires and all he saw was a slaughter, even those on his level were being toyed with and helpless against their foes.
’ What exactly are these things?’ he wondered with fear. The pride he had as a vampire dissipated into thin air.
All he wanted to do right now was run away but Suzie saw through that. Instead of attacking him she demolished his surroundings.
Lokna was using the trees to swing away, she was not going to let him go, not after he disrespected her lord.
Her spheres flew through the air like bullets and destroyed every tree in the surrounding two kilometres, Lokna cursed and crashed on the ground.
The spheres descended upon him like rain, he used his strings to block and dodge them but without any trees, his escape was made much harder.
He failed to react and a sphere hit him on the thigh, his entire leg flew off and he stumbled and fell.
They gave him no chance to rest and followed him, at this point, dodging was impossible. In his desperation he did something crazy.
He swung his strings with all of his might and wrapped them around one her spheres in the air and before anybody could.
He used that spheres to yank himself away, his body shot through the air like a red streak and in a blink of an eye he was hundreds of metres away.
Suzie cursed and wanted to chase but looked at her lord sleeping soundly beneath her barrier.
Even if these fools weren’t strong enough to damage her lord’s body, she couldn’t allow them to touch him with their dirty hands.
She howled to the sky in frustration, unfortunately there was a limit to how far her spheres can fly away from her.
The other vampires saw Lokna running away and panicked, he was the strongest amongst them besides their lord Karon.
Karon also saw this and clicked his tongue in disdain. " Coward." He whispered but everybody here was a superhuman and heard him.
The other vampires did not think so, if they could run they would too unfortunately their opponents were too fast.
Especially Sam and Marcus, in their werewolf forms they were significantly faster than the vampires.
Of everybody, they had the highest number of kills, even surpassing Suzie. The one with the least kills was naturally Melissa.
She had only killed one vampire and then was held up fighting Karon. Karon watched his forces dwindle.
He figured it was time to use blood morphis, he wanted to at least kill one werewolf before the sun rises.
He grew bat like wings and his ears grew longer and pointy. His hair also grew longer and his crimson eyes turned a shade deeper.
Seeing this, Melissa finally took her werewolf form as well, she was the last to transform. Her form was large, standing at 2.7 metres.
It was the largest amongst the females and larger than most males. Her fur looked like metal needles.
She was not as muscular as Adrian and John, her muscles were more lean like tempered steel.
She howled to the sky and the ground beneath her feet cracked, rocks flew to the air.
Before they could hit the ground, she was already upon Karon. Boom, the explosive sound finally reached everybody.
