Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf

Chapter 86: Expansion

" Whoever you are, know that you stand in the way of the high council, move now and this will be forgiven."

The leader of the group threatened but everybody could hear the nervousness in his voice.

He was an ogre, a race known for their physical strength and bravery yet in front of this woman, he felt like a rat in a cage.

The woman didn’t bother responding, she pointed a finger at them, they all knew something was coming and tried to run.

" Yima." She cast a spell and their bodies froze unable to move an inch, they were aware but felt like they were trapped in a cage of invisible walls.

She casted another spell and the ground below their feet turned pitch black and wobbled like soft mud.

The black mud lashed out like tentacles and bound their bodies and pulled them down but they couldn’t even cry for help.

Their eyes were filled with desperation and fear but her eyes were cold as ice, they had tried to touch what is hers and for that they’ll pay.

In a few seconds, their bodies disappeared and the bridge returned to normal. The woman sighed.

" We can’t keep doing this by ourselves Puffy." She brushed the cat’s fur waking it up.

It meowed once and went back to sleep, the woman disappeared. A few seconds after she left, the director appeared.

He had felt a tremendous aura from this place and as a branch director of the organisation, he was obligated to check it out.

Seeing as the other party had disappeared he sighed with relief and went back.

-------------------------------

Back in Lagos.

Sam and John had been handling their task but it was taking longer than expected, the person they were waiting for was yet to come back.

" Should we just go back?" John asked, he was getting tired of waiting and missed his girlfriend.

Sam was about to respond then he paused, " He’s here." A car stopped in front of the club and a man with tattoos came out.

He was dressed nicely in a suit yet still managed to make it look casual. He went inside the club, the security didn’t even bother stopping him.

Diego Lopez was in a good mood, he had just concluded another business deal and made a few extra million bucks.

He decided to throw a party at his club but that was for tomorrow, tonight he would just be celebrating with his closest allies.

Diego was a man without a family so he considered his closest friends as his family instead.

" Isabella my darling, how are you doing?" He greeted a beautiful woman in red, she was his assistant and accountant.

Since she couldn’t physically participate in most of his dealings since they involved high risk, she mostly ran the club when he was not there.

Isabella smiled back, " Well, two days ago, two men showed up looking for you."

His smile disappeared, people rarely looked for him and when they did, it wasn’t usually friendly.

" Did they say who they were?" He asked and she nodded.

" They called themselves, members of the Lunar pack, don’t ask me if I know anything about that because I don’t.

I contacted our informants to try and find information about this Lunar pack but nothing came up, they’re ghosts."

He nodded, " A bunch of nobodies then trying to use me to climb up." He replied dismissively.

" Oh that’s very hurtful." They both heard a voice behind them and saw two men standing behind him.

Diego was so startled he almost fell, his security guards acted and drew their guns but they didn’t fire.

Diego wondered how these two managed to get so close without anybody even noticing. As a seasoned criminal he was quite good at telling how much of a threat people posed.

It was one of the reasons he’s been able to survive for so long in the underground world and these two, made him feel nothing.

That should’ve made him feel relaxed but it didn’t because he could see how calm they were even though they had guns pointed at them.

It was either they were very confident or very stupid but either way he didn’t want to deal with them.

" What can I help you gentlemen with?" He asked and the shorter of the two men stood forward.

" Nice to finally meet you Diego Lopez, I’m Sam, this is my friend John and we have things to discuss with you."

Diego raised his hands, " Sorry gentlemen, I don’t care who you are, I’m not interested in whatever you have to offer, now please leave."

The man who called himself Sam rubbed his head like he was frustrated, " I get that and all but aaah, you see, the dude I work for, doesn’t really take no for an answer."

John nodded with him but this made Diego’s face change. " Are you threatening me?" He asked threateningly.

Sam laughed awkwardly, " Yeah dude no, no, I’m trying to help you here, you see, I don’t like violence and all that but believe me, the big guy definitely does.

It’s best if you just deal with me and be done with it than let him come here himself coz, that really will not work in you favour."

Diego grew angrier, he was just about to order his men to escort these two out and deal with them when his eyes met two grey eyes and he felt his mind go blank.

When he came to he was sitting in his office facing the two men, only Isabella was sitting next to him.

He looked at her and saw a flicker of fear in her eyes, " What happened?" He asked but she didn’t answer.

Sam smiled like a devil and leaned closer, " Mr Lopez, now that I have your ear, tell me, how do you feel about immortality?"

--------------------------

Adrain had spent the last three days getting used to his new power and now he was thinking it was time for a live test.

Fortunately he had the perfect practice dummies, he stood to leave then he heard a knock on the door.

When he opened it he saw a woman standing there, he immediately knew this was a witch.

" Greetings child of blood, I come with a word from the sister, will you listen?"
