Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf

Chapter 76: Two Monsters

They walked outside and sat there, the other kids tried to leave but he stopped them. Having seen what he can do, none dared say anything.

Annie sat next to him, " Are you going to explain what’s happening?" She asked but her voice was flat.

He looked at her and saw the confusion and pain in her eyes, " What happened to you Adrian and how do you know Eve?"

Then she looked at Eve, " Was our friendship even real?" She sent a barrage of questions at both of them not even giving them a chance to answer.

Eve just smiled bitterly and looked at Adrain then raised her hands in defeat, " Don’t look at me, if I tell you, your man might kill me."

Annie looked at Adrain and he sighed then hugged her, she didn’t return the hug but she didn’t resist either.

" I can’t tell you right now, it’s too dangerous." He told her and she just scoffed.

" Too dangerous, I’ve just seen you shoot fire out of your hands and beat down this monster, I’ve just seen Eve controlling ghosts, what could be so dangerous to you two?"

Eve raised her hand, " Ah, I should mention that I’m not controlling them, they’re lending me their aid."

They both ignored her and she turned around awkwardly and started whistling.

" Oh Annie." Adrain called her name in a longing voice, he really wished he could tell her everything.

He wanted to turn her so they’ll be together but not only did she have a lot to lose but he didn’t want to risk her life.

" I wish I could tell you everything I really do but I can’t." She said nothing and just turned around and went to her friends.

He didn’t stop her, he didn’t have the right to and just sat down and waited. After some time the sun started rising.

The ghouls who were normally fearless started struggling even harder to break free but Adrain held them down tightly.

When the sunlight touched them, their bodies ignited into flames and they burnt to ashes in seconds.

The iron ghoul king lasted longer but its tough skin grew softer, he plunged his hand into its chest and pulled out its heart.

But when he looked at it, the heart was pitch black and not beating, it had no esper energy inside it.

" Fuck FUCK!" He shouted drawing the attention of the others, they flinched when he turned his eyes towards them.

Subconsciously they hid behind Annie who was the only one who was not scared, having seen how much he cared about her, they doubted he would harm her.

" What a waste of time, okay, you lot, stand up." They listened without a single complain.

" You too Annie." She ignored him and folded her arms. " Please." He begged her softly.

She clicked her tongue and stood up but refused to look at him, " I’m going to need you to look into my eyes."

Annie turned her head even further away and Adrain sighed, he used telepathy to effect her mind.

This ability was not particularly strong but against normal human, it might as well be the power of god.

Annie turned her head and looked him directly in the eyes against her own will. Adrain sighed, he really didn’t want to do this to her.

" You all went to the cave, you didn’t find anything and went back down." He used compulsion on them.

Then his eyes met the guy called Cyril standing too close to Annie. " Forget that." He made then forget the first order.

" You went into the mines but the guy called Cyril tripped and broke his foot and you were forced to rush him down the mountain."

As soon as he finished saying that, he kicked Cyril on the foot and broke his bone like twigs.

Cyril did not even scream, he currently couldn’t feel the pain since he was still under the process of compulsion.

" Is that necessary?" Eve asked with worry, Adrain glanced at her then turned around and walked off.

He disappeared into the forest then heard a loud scream and the others panicking. He continued without looking back.

After he left, he didn’t notice Annie looking at his direction with confusion. " Is everything okay?" Eve asked.

" No, it’s nothing, it’s just.... nothing lets go." They turned and walked away but Annie felt strange like she had forgotten something important.

Adrain thought about his next target, there were two other Gadra nearby, a serpent in the mountains and another Gadra in the lake.

After thinking for some time he decided to deal with the serpent first, while the lake monster was closer, it would be harder to deal with.

He would still need to draw it out of the lake and he had no idea how to do that, fortunately the serpent lived in the mountains upstream.

After dealing with it, he would just have to follow the river downstream and get to the lake.

He started walking, the forest started getting denser and darker almost like a jungle, in fact it was a jungle.

While it was small compared to something like the Redmount jungle, it still stretched for about 300 kilometres.

The place where the serpent was stated to live was near the peak of a tall green mountain next to a huge waterfall.

It wasn’t long before he started hearing the waterfall, it was loud like booming thunder, then he heard something else.

A loud roar unlike a sound made by a snake, then he caught a scent, two to be exact. ’ It’s fighting something.’ he thought.

Then he started running up, his body blurred through the jungle like a shadow and before long he arrived near the battle sight.

Next to the bottom of the waterfall on the edge of a lake was a pitch back snake with black eyes.

It’s body was a metre and a half thick and the part of its body above the water was nearly 7 metres long.

But the snake was not alone, opposite it stood a silver back gorilla standing nearly 4 metres in height with arms like logs.

’ Well, you aren’t recorded in the book.’
