SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes

Chapter 67: Let Me Tell You Something

Like an eagle descending toward its prey, Desther fell down toward the archer with his legs extended forward.

As he descended, he was mindful of his actions, deliberately slowing down the moment his foot landed on the man’s face.

With extreme control over his body, doing a simple maneuver to slow down his descent was now easy for Desther.

Laws were created to prevent Awakened Professionals from killing each other.

With no good alibi and not being in the mode to kill everyone present, Desther decided not to overdo it too much.

A simple kick came from the heavens, and the archer’s body flew backward like he was hit by a sledgehammer.

Blood spurted out his nose as his eyes immediately blanked out at the moment of impact.

When he crashed onto one of the trees and fell into the muddy water, his comrades were still unable to process what was happening.

When they came into it, their comrade had already fainted over his own blood while floating in the muddy water.

"You dare!?" The man, seemingly their leader, shouted at the top of his lungs as he looked at Desther with eyes full of rage.

This was the first time that he had been disregarded and disrespected like this.

As someone who was about to transition to Tier 2, he had always commanded respect wherever he went. Others would bow down to him, and some would even flatter him as much as possible and get on his good side.

This newly emergent dungeon was an accidental encounter for their team. Knowing profit was there, they immediately entered after the Professional Alliance inspected everything.

Inside, they acted as usual and proceeded to the exit portal as soon as possible to regroup.

What they did not expect was for them to encounter other Awakened Professionals, and unlike them, these professionals were actually injured.

Seeing the opportunity, he and his comrades took their time to get what they wanted at the expense of them escaping the dungeon.

In truth, this was just a random encounter that they did not plan, lacking any sort of prior motive. However, the opportunity was there, and they took it.

In his mind, as long as they did not severely hurt these professionals, they should be able to escape scrutiny from the Professional Alliance. They were already planning to leave Radiant Shelter anyway.

However, what he did not expect was for this situation to happen.

As an archer, Doyle was the one with the fiercest eyesight among all of them. It was not a wonder why he was the one who spotted an intruder first, while they only became aware of his presence the moment Doyle released the warning arrow.

Unfortunately, they seemed to have encountered a fierce foe this time around.

Not only was he able to arrive in front of them almost in an instant, he also managed to knock Doyle unconscious with just a single blow.

However, Nestor was not afraid.

As a peak Tier 1 Awakened Professional, what kind of foe had he not faced yet?

"DIE!"

He shouted at the top of his lungs as his arms transformed into sharp blades.

Two blades made of light shot toward Desther at extreme speed.

Desther, though, merely stepped to the side to dodge the incoming attack.

However, he must admit that Tier 1 Awakened Professionals were truly strong.

Those two blades made of light were incomparable to the Blastoad’s water blast skill.

Not only was the speed not the same, even the damage was on a different level.

When he looked back, he realized that two trees were actually sliced in half from that skill.

It must be noted that even his Magic Bullet, with his high attribute, could not pierce through the tree’s trunk.

In terms of lethality, it was obvious that the sharp blades were much stronger than his Magic Bullet.

However, Desther did not think anything about it at all. No matter how lethal it was, if that was its speed, then the opponent better pack up and leave as soon as possible.

Desther did not even bother to use Attribute Theft on them, thinking that it would just be a complete waste of time.

He does not plan on killing them anyway, since he knows that by doing that, endless trouble from the government and Professional Alliance would soon follow.

There were witnesses around, and he could just not simply kill them. He was not a bloodthirsty demon that would kill without any cause after all.

’Injuring them severely should not be a problem. As long as they have the money, they should be able to hire healers to fix their broken bones.’ As he thought of that, Desther had already taken a step forward toward Nestor.

Nestor’s hands glowed once more, a clear indication that he was about to use his skill again.

However, even though he was much stronger compared to him, Desther still did not allow him to wield those blades made of light again.

Holding his elbow, Desther clenched his fist and gripped Nestor’s forearm like it was a handlebar.

CRACK! CRACK!

AHHH!

The sound of breaking bones echoed, followed by Nestor’s agonizing scream.

Desther did not stop there and did the same thing to his other hand.

He liked to use those hands for his skill, huh.

’Then let us see if you could still use that skill with two broken forearms.’

After breaking his arms, Desther kicked the man in his gut, making him faint. He fell to the tree’s root, face-first.

His other comrades reacted a little too late as well. Or to be more precise, Desther’s speed was just that fast that others could hardly follow his movements.

Staring at the remaining opponents, Desther did not bother wasting any more time as he incapacitated them one by one. Each of them was critically injured and was only on their last breath.

The only ones left standing were the injured Awakened Professional’s that Nestor and his group blocked from exiting the dungeon earlier.

Desther turned to look at them.

The man in front gulped a mouthful of saliva.

"Let me tell you something! Let me tell you something!"
