[VRMMO] Dead One

"What do you mean both of them are attacking us at the same time!?" – shouted the king of beastmen.

"We just checked; both the holy kingdom and empire army are marching towards us at the same time!" – said the lion beastmen.

"All our scouts and agents are reporting in, saying the same stuff." -said the female dog beastmen.

"Then does that mean that they are working together?!" – asked the king.

"No." – replied dog beastman.

"It is either a timing or maybe they are using each other, launching their own attack when the other one launched theirs."

"Their armies will definitely clash…. But first they will clash with us."

"Considering that the both nations are mortal enemies, they would never cooperate… So maybe one of them will launch attack on another, WHILE they are inside our kingdom."

"So…. It will be 100% a three way battle." – said the lion beastmen.

"But…. Are these reports correct?"

"Yes…. They are not holding back at all." – said the dog beastmen.

"This isn't good…"

[Meanwhile: Holy kingdom.]

"The empire is also for the beastmen?" – asked the pope king while holding the communication orb.

"Yes your majesty." – said the paladin with bandana as he led the holy kingdom army alongside the angels that led the army of the heaven.

"They are not hiding or anything, they are bringing with them a massive force alongside them."

"They are heading for the beastman kingdom…. And it doesn't look like they are coming to "save them" either."

"Huh…. That is interesting?" – said the pope king.

(We were aware of the empire moving around their forces and not doing anything for more than 2 weeks.)

(We thought they were focusing on the recovery, but by the looks of things they were preparing to take down the beastmen?)

(Did we had a leak?)

(Did somebody informed the empire about our plans?)

"…"

"Your majesty? What do we do?" – asked the paladin with bandana.

"At this rate this will turn in three way battle."

"…"

"How many soldiers did you spotted?" – asked the pope king.

"Multiple legions." – replied the paladin.

"It seems that the empire is using their main army to bring down the beastmen."

"Continue." – said the pope king after a long pause.

"I will order our forces that were on standby to assist you as well."

"!?"

"Your holiness, if I may." – said the paladin with bandana with worried voice.

"Isn't this too risky? Shouldn't we let the empire and the beastmen duck it out? We can then take out the exhausted side."

"No." – said the pope king.

"The empire can use the dead as means of replenishing their soldiers."

"But with the blessing of the heavens, we can disturb this process and make sure that the amount of undeads they get would not be as massive as they expect."

"We need to attack and we need to use the full force of the heavens."

"We will crush both the empire and the beastman at the same time."

[Meanwhile: Empire army]

"Okay…. So, what the hell is going on?" – asked ClownFrog while using [Chat] to communicate with Oron.

["It's the holy kingdom."] – said Oron.

["By the looks of things, they are also aiming for the beastmen? Or maybe they had formed an alliance?"]

["But the timing isn't right…. Or maybe it is?"]

"…"

["Maybe they are also just aiming for them?"]

"Huh…. Or maybe they are using us?"

It was a pure coincidence.

There was no plot or what so ever behind the holy kingdom or empire choice.

In reality? They both just wished for the destruction of the beastmen.

On the empire side of things, they knew how dangerous and unstable the "benefactor" and his agents are while also not only posing a threat to the empire but the continent as whole.

While on the holy kingdom side they saw the beastman as too unknown, a "wild card" that could make things problematic if not dealt with carefully.

Not only that, but the holy kingdom wants to gain more ground and not be easily surrounded by the empire while also preventing the empire from gaining more undead soldiers.

Simple put, both nations wanted to get rid of the beastmen while not knowing about their competition plan…. But now? They both know that they had a same idea.

But even so, neither empire or the holy kingdom backed away, instead they strengthen their armies, providing more assistance and relocating more resources.

Why?

Because they want to get rid of all of their competition.

And so, the armies of the holy kingdom and the empire marched into the kingdom of beastmen.

"SHOT THEM DOWN! SHOT THOSE FLYING CHICKENS FROM THE SKIES!"

"T-THE DEAD! THE DEAD ARE RISING AGAINST US! RUN AWAY!"

And it was instantly known that the beastmen would not have an easy time.

They could handle one of those armies, all thanks to their monsters and support provided from the "benefactor".

But handling both nations at their full power at once? It was too much.

Not only that, but unlike the holy kingdom holy and light magic specialty or the empire medical and cursed knowledge, the beastmen did not had means of dealing with the plague properly, resulting in it spreading nonstop, causing suffering to people of the beastmen nation.

The beastman nation was getting conquered and devoured by the two invaders.

However, with how things were, both the empire and the holy kingdom ended up clashing way faster than anybody had expected, resulting in the beastmen nation gaining some time to breath…. But not enough.

"…"

"How…. How are our armies?" – asked the lion beastman by the name of Axe.

"Not good sir…. General Kriaw alongside his legions…. They were all annihilated by the holy kingdom." – said the beastmen soldier.

"They showed no mercy at all… Nor they took any prisoners."

"…"

"Then what about the empire?" – asked the general Axe.

"…."

"They…. They are not stopping…. And our soldiers have joined their ranks."

"Well…. They at least stopped for now….. Right?" – asked the female dog beastman general who was covered in bandages as well as had wounds all over her body.

"!"

"Oktan! You need to stand down!" – said the lion general as he rushed towards the dog beastman.

"You barely survived your encounter with the empire! You are in no condition to even walk!"

"Well…. I can at least talk…. Yea?" – said Oktan as she sat down on the chair.

*Huff*

"…"

"The empire and these fanatics are clashing with each other…. They pretty much stopped each other….. But they didn't forgotten about us…. No…. One…. or maybe both of them will keep sending their forces here….."

"Kriaw…. Can I give you a honest opinion as the "tactician of control"?"

"We are fucked…. This is my honest opinion of the situation."

"We thought…. That we would be able to redirect both of their armies early on, making them clash much more earlier…. But none of our schemes worked…. Not only that…. Our lands are getting conquered way too fast…. This is hitting not only our soldiers morals… But our entire kingdom…"

"Then…. Are you saying we will lose? Like that? All bark but no bite? THAT is our fate?!" – shouted pissed off general Kriaw.

"Well… I tried thinking…. But it failed…. I don't see any hope." – said the dog general as she started coughing, causing a healer to quickly rush in and start using healing magic.

*Huff*

"…. We should had never betrayed the empire…. It was not worth it."

"Then what?! You say we should had become their pets?! The same way the traitor king from my clan has sided with the holy kingdom?! YOU FUCKING SAW WHAT THOSE BASTARD DID!" – shouted the lion beastmen.

"…"

"Yes…. You are correct…. Nobody wants to become "pets" ….. But look around." – said dog general.

"Only over 2 week has passed…. And look how much they wrecked us."

"Was our pride worth it?"

"Die a dog death without meaning or results?"

"I saw my own men getting slaughtered by the monster in a form of a woman."

"She was laughing as her lance ripped them all apart before then she drank them dry of their blood….. And then I saw them being raised as undead monstrosities."

"If it wasn't for the holy kingdom launching their surprise attack back then…. I would had just died back then on the spot…. I ran away like coward with my soldiers….. I FUCKING RAN! YOU HEAR ME!?"

"These monsters that were under our command? These monsters that we both hated but had to praise them since they had their strength to show, they were destroyed like nothing!"

"Splitting our forces was worst possible option!"

"And if we were to not do that, then our kingdom would had already been fully conquered by either one of them."

"Then what? Do we just wait for our death to come?" – asked general Kriaw.

"Either that…. Or we surrender to the empire." – said the general Oktan.

"And let them absorb the beastmen nation."

"?!"

"What?! What you are suggesting is no better than treason!" – shouted the general Kriaw.

"And do you have any better options?" – replied general Oktan.

"If so, I'm willing to listen….. But if I'm being honest…. We were the ones truly betrayed."

"By our own king."

"Lies, secret and unknown…. He sold his soul to the devil known as the "benefactor"."

"As much as it pains me to say it…. But there is no other way."

"Our bellowed king has betrayed his own people…. I don't know nor I really care anymore."

"What I care about is our people and their survival."

"And without any option left… We have to strike down our own king…. Betraying our kingdom in order to save it from doom."

"I won't change my mind…. You know?"

"I will betray him…. I will side with the empire…. And you won't change it…."

"Will you strike down this traitor right here and now while I can't even lift a finger?"

"Or will you help me save our people?"
