[VRMMO] Dead One

"Retreat! All forces retreat!" – shouted the high paladin as the forces of the holy kingdom declared a full retreat.

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" – shouted Rampage that tried to give chase, only for the GreyHunt to suddenly shot in front of her, stopping her.

"HEY! WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL!?" – shouted Rampage.

"Let them go you idiot. We can't have you go running around." – said GreyHunt.

"Besides, look at the town."

"We only just conquered it and after the battle?"

"Just look around…. This place is good as dead."

"Those angels could keep calling their allies over and over, while also "purifying" the undeads."

"We need to fortify and repair this location or we will have the angels keep attacking us from behind."

(The holy kingdom army really got strong, eh?)

(It wasn't the first time we had that kind of loses on our side, but their attacks was far more deadlier.)

(If it wasn't for me and Rampage being here, things could had gotten ugly…. And those angels…Especially the one with mask and hood.)

(She didn't attacked, only summoned more and more angels while purring the battlefield and making it hard for our necromancers to raise the corpse.)

(Still, she instantly ran away as soon as I started attacking her, when her barrier broke she turned tail…. But her appearance though…. 6 wings.)

(Some angel races, especially the holy angels have a ranking system based on number of their wings.)

(2 winged ones are regular angels.)

(4 winged ones are the high angels.)

(While the 6 winged ones are the archangels.)

(Our spies told us that the holy empire did summoned multiple archangels…. But to see one here…. Hm…)

"When you see again that angel, don't mind me and just butcher them." – said GreyHunt to Rampage before then he started walking towards the demon soldiers.

GreyHunt commanded and the soldiers fallowed the orders, trying to rest up while also reappearing bits of the town here and there.

"The holy kingdom attacked us out a blue. Bastards somehow managed to get so close to us without noticing."

"Yeb. We repelled their sneak attack but considering the situation, we will be staying in our current location, trying to fortify it."

(The beastmen are getting destroyed way too easily, but on the other hand the holy kingdom got way stronger than we could had imagined.)

GreyHunt took out his spy glass upon noticing something from the distance…. And upon using it, he spotted somebody.

A lion beastmen riding an giant war horse.

(A single beastmen?) – thought GreyHunt as he got off the rock.

(He definitely ain't a scout, since he isn't even trying to hide himself.)

GreyHunt summoned his demonic horse, before then getting on top of it and running straight towards the beastmen.

"Stop! I don't wish to fight!" – shouted the lion beastmen as GreyHunt got closer.

"I can tell, but this will change depending on what you say, beastmen." – said GreyHunt as he stopped near the beastmen and took out his gun.

"What do you want? Are you a messenger?"

"No." – replied the lion beastmen.

"I'm general Axe. One of the main leaders of the beastmen army."

"And I wish to talk about beastmen surrender."

"A general?" – asked GreyHunt as he aimed with his gun at the beastmen.

"And talk about surrender?"

"Do you really think I'm dumb enough to take this at the face value?"

"Honestly, the whole general thing is already suspicious as hell."

"Why would general personally come here?"

"Because this is a gamble…. If I'm honest." – said the lion general.

"The beastmen army is willing to surrender to the empire and help them conquer our kingdom, in exchange for safety and survival."

"I'm listening." – said GreyHunt while not pulling away his gun.

"It is…. As I've said…. The generals has lost any hope and realized that there is no way we can win this war." – said the beastmen.

"Not only that, but the whole kingdom stopped trusting the king himself after he openly declared his alliance with the "benefactor"."

"He didn't talked with anybody about this or anything. He did it behind everybody backs."

"And he also is refusing "where" he is getting these monsters from."

"This war was lost the moment the king decided to betray the empire and side the "benefactor", thinking that it would allow us to conquer the continent…. So, me and other leaders wants to rebel against the king and have our kingdom be absorbed by the empire."

GreyHunt opened up a tube, before then taking out a rolled up piece of paper that turned out to be a bounding contract.

"Huh…. So, to prove that you are not trying to betray us, you are planning on doing a binding contract?" – asked GreyHunt.

"Yes." – said the beastmen.

"Me and several other people in charge of the army, including one more general is willing to write their name down."

"The basic conditions were already written down and we are open to negotiations."

(I don't know if this is real binding contract or not…. I could have one of our guys look into it…. But what if this guy is saying the truth?)
