Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 552: The Truth of the Matter (2)

When Ian Shaw mentioned Master Lockwood, Caleb Grayson finally got a clear look. The person those men were carrying was Julius Lockwood!

His temper instantly flared. ’What kind of trash is Julius Lockwood?!’

If he hadn’t refused to believe his own sister back then, she wouldn’t have been wrongly accused and died. She passed away full of resentment, unable to rest in peace.

"Julius Lockwood! Why is he here?!" Caleb Grayson blocked their path and demanded in a grim voice.

"Tristan arranged it. He said that for now, it would be best for Master Lockwood to stay at your house."

"Absolutely not! I don’t want to see Julius Lockwood. Take him and get out right now!"

The shouting only made Ian Shaw more awkward. He kept smiling placatingly. "Grayson, what happened in the past is over. Look at how pitiful Master Lockwood is now. Why don’t we just let him inside first? Aiden will be here with a doctor shortly."

However, Caleb Grayson’s stance was exceptionally firm. "That brat Tristan Grayson! How dare he hide this from me and bring him to our home without my permission. This is absolutely not happening!"

Mae Lynch, standing to the side, furrowed her brow as she studied Master Lockwood being carried in the yard. After a long moment, seeing that Ian Shaw wasn’t leaving and Caleb Grayson wasn’t saying anything more, she finally sighed and spoke up. "Ian Shaw, you can take him inside. If Tristan said to bring him to our home, he must have his reasons. Don’t listen to Grayson."

"Yes, of course. You’re the reasonable one, ma’am." Hearing Mae Lynch speak, Ian Shaw quickly offered a flattering smile.

Mae Lynch chuckled. "You kid. Hurry and get him inside. Is he going to be alright, being unconscious like this?"

"It shouldn’t be anything serious. Aiden will be here with the doctor soon." ’Even if there is, it’s not like he’s going to die anytime soon.’

But Ian Shaw didn’t dare say that part out loud.

Watching that bastard Julius Lockwood get carried inside, Caleb Grayson spun around, grabbed Mae Lynch’s arm, and said furiously, "Are you crazy? How could you let that bastard into our home?"

"Caleb Grayson, how much is your damn pride worth? If our son wants him here, then he has his reasons." Mae Lynch wrenched her arm free from Caleb Grayson’s grip, her voice full of ice. After speaking, she followed them into the house.

Master Lockwood was carried up to a guest room on the second floor. Hearing the commotion, Tiana came out of her room. She stared in surprise as the men carried an old man into the guest room.

"Tiana, you’re home," Ian Shaw greeted her, his hands in his pockets. He hadn’t gone into the room.

"Yeah... what’s going on?" Tiana asked, pointing at the guest room in astonishment.

"To be precise, I suppose he’s your former uncle-in-law."

"Former uncle-in-law?" ’Can you have a *former* uncle-in-law?’ ’Wait, no. I don’t think I even have an aunt, so where would an uncle-in-law come from? And a *former* one at that?’

"Hahaha, that’s right. Former uncle-in-law." Seeing Tiana’s surprised expression, Ian Shaw couldn’t help but laugh.

"What are you talking about? How could I possibly have a former uncle-in-law?"

Ian Shaw raised a hand and rubbed his nose, smiling. "It’s... a long story. But he is, in fact, your former uncle-in-law." After saying this, Ian Shaw stepped aside to let the men who had carried Master Lockwood upstairs leave.

"Are there a lot of people outside? Did you bring them?" Tiana’s mind was reeling. She walked to the top of the stairs and glanced down, asking with a worried and uneasy feeling.
