Chapter 551: The Truth of the Matter (1)
Jason Lockwood’s eyes darkened dangerously. He furiously slammed the documents in his hand onto the sofa. "Don’t you dare say that!"
No one had ever dared to say those words to him first!
When it came to playing a game, once it started, it could never end unless he, Jason Lockwood, said so. Even in death, it had to continue!!
Perhaps frightened by Jason Lockwood’s ferocious expression, Jasmine Warren just stood there, biting her lip. She looked at him with a mixture of grievance and dissatisfaction.
Seeing her expression didn’t quell his anger. He pointed at Jasmine Warren, about to berate her again. "From now on, without my..." But before he could finish, the phone in his pocket rang.
He had no choice but to swallow his anger, pull out his phone, and answer it.
Jasmine Warren watched Jason Lockwood walk behind his desk, phone in hand. She angrily sat back down on the sofa, but her eyes remained fixed on him.
"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!" By now, Jason Lockwood had hung up. He slammed his phone down hard on the desk.
After speaking, he remembered the woman still in the room. With a grim face, he said in a cold voice, "I’ll have someone send you home immediately. From now on, you’re not allowed back at the company without my permission."
"Jason Lockwood, what’s that supposed to mean?" ’Is it because I found out what happened today? So now I can’t even come to the company?’
’Even if I don’t come, does that mean what happened today just... didn’t happen?’
"It means exactly what I said. Someone will be here to take you home in five minutes. I have work to do, so don’t bother me." As he spoke, he picked up a pen, grabbed a few documents, and pretended to be busy, lowering his head to work.
Looking at Jason Lockwood’s infuriatingly punchable face, Jasmine Warren’s hatred boiled over.
’Forget it, just forget it. I’m not going to argue with this heartless bastard! After all, I’m just a little mistress kept by Jason Lockwood. I just need to take the money. What kind of scoundrel he is doesn’t matter.’
’Even if he murders and robs, it’s none of my business.’
Jasmine Warren kept telling herself this, over and over, but whenever she remembered the scene from today and thought of that kidnapped little princess, she felt a pang of unease and distress.

On the highway, inside a black BMW.
Archie Lockwood held the soundly sleeping Rory and gave a cold command. "Turn around and head to the Grayson estate. Ian Shaw sent word that Master Lockwood has been picked up. They’re on their way to the Graysons’ now."
"Okay."
"Louise Jordan, contact the hospital immediately. Have them send people to the Grayson estate now."
"Yes."
After giving his orders, Archie Lockwood leaned back against the car seat, feeling drained. His eyes, however, were glued to the phone in his hand.
「About half an hour later, at the Grayson estate.」
Outside the villa’s main gate, so many cars were parked that they nearly blocked the entire road.
A business van was parked right at the main gate. After it stopped, the doors opened, and four men in suits jumped out one after another. Then, they were seen carrying an elderly man toward the Grayson home.
Caleb Grayson and his wife heard the commotion and came outside. They saw a large group of people heading toward their house and were just about to have someone call Tristan Grayson when they spotted Ian Shaw walking in.
"Ian Shaw, what’s going on here?"
Ian Shaw gave an awkward smile and rubbed his nose. "Uh, it’s a long story," he said. "Tristan will be here soon. For now, we should get Master Lockwood inside so he can rest."
