Even before Elise had brought back the captives, Weiss already had some ideas about which orginisation could be behind the captured people and this attack.

In the territory of the Skepa noble family, there were only three orginisation who were capable of accomplishing something like this. They were "Sparrow’s Nest", "SoLaur Society" and "Changer".

Among these three, Sparrow’s Nest had a good relationship with the Skepa family and according to some hidden information that Weiss had managed to her her hands on, the leader of this orginisation was a good friend of the Marquis here.

There had also been no news or information that this relationship had soured for any reason. So it was highly unlikely that the long time ally of the Skepa family would suddenly become enemies with them when the Skepa family was doing better than ever.

As for the SoLaur Society, they were a dark orginisation who had ties with a foreign country. Most of their high ranking members were also from that nation and their main task was to keep an eye on various noble families of the Brightshine nation.

They did this while being out in the open. The nation that was behind this orginisation, they were famous for their luxurious products. So in order to have a channel to get their hands on the luxurious products, most nobles allowed this dark orginisation to exist without trying to exterminate them. The same was true for the Skepa family.

This dark orginisation also had no reason to go against the lord of this territory as they were their biggest buyers. And SoLaur Society had a creed to never do anything to the nobles in order to not attract their hostility.

So by process of elimination, only one orginisation was left who would dare to do something like this, which was the Changers. They were an extremely powerful typical dark orginisation who had a lot of members who were willing to do anything for money.

So, even before starting the interrogation, Weiss was already about 80 percent sure that the captured people would be from the Changers. And that actually turned out to be true.

Normally, for interrogation, Weiss needed to torture the target first to break them. Only after that would they be willing to talk. But after reaching the realm of a grand knight and getting access to the Ancient Force, many such things had became a lot less troublesome.

For the current interrogation, Weiss just poured some of her ancient force inside the captives. Then she used this powerful and versatile energy to give them some mental suggestions.

As the captives were already fainted, their mind had almost no defense. And even if they were awake, just a low level knight and two apprentice knights were not capable of resisting the effects of the Ancient Force of a grand knight.

In that way, all of them became very obedient and told Weiss everything that she asked for. This way, Weiss was able to save a lot of time.

After she was done with the interrogation, she started to think about what she should do next. The Changer was not very discreet about the information of their clients. So Weiss came to know the name of "Lord Mafna" as the mastermind behind this.

But they were also not very serious about learning the exact identity for who was giving them the task. As long as the opposite side was paying them enough money, they would be taking the job.

So even though the captured official knight had mentioned the name of a noble as his client, there was a high possibility that this noble family was being framed by the real culprit. But what made her more surprise was whom they were going to target.

There were various high profile targets currently present here in the Skepa castle. But these assasins were here to target only three lowly barons, who were from small, remote and poor territories like the previous Souran territory.

From this, it was clear that the only reason behind this attack was to destroy the reputation of the Skepa family. But this motive was very common and most of this family’s enemy could have this motivation.

So pin pointing the main culprit with just this much information was not possible. But Weiss decided to do some extra solo investigation about his matter as long as she was staying in the city.

So for the for being, Weiss saw no reason why she should not hand the captives over to the Marchioness now. So she asked Elise to call her over.

Normally it would be rude for a mere baroness to call the Marchioness to her room and there was no way someone so high ranking was going to accept this invitation.

But currently Weiss and Eleanor were close allies. So Weiss was very sure that the Marchioness was definitely going to accept this invitation from her and come over.

While Elise was away bringing her over, Weiss started to pour her ancient force inside the captured people again. She was doing so to add some finishing touches in order to make sure that Elise’s true strength would not be revealed.

What Weiss did was to jumble up their memories a little bit. At the same time she also used the ancient force to immediately create many wounds on their bodies to look as if they had been heavily tortured.

This way, these people would not be able to properly explain how they were captured or in what way were they tortured and interrogated.

So whatever Weiss and Elise were going to say, that would become the truth. And Weiss was also ready to bury her and Elise’s secrets with half truths.

As Weiss was thinking about this, she sensed that just as she had expected, Eleanor had agreed to meet with her even though it was very sudden and she was coming over with Elise.

So Weiss stopped her modification process and started to calmly wait for Eleanor and Elise to arrive.
