Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Chapter 345-Fooling Others

Lara:

"You need to understand that I can sense your energy, and I can tell that you’re not very trustworthy."

Her words made me hug myself, rubbing my arms up and down as I began to wonder if she could also tell that I was the one who had killed her children and not them.

Or maybe it was just about the energy. She said she could sense it.

"I hope you know, trust is not something that can be bought," she added.

I nodded in understanding.

"I know it is not easy to trust someone, but you can trust me. Together we need to bring them down. They cannot steal everything from us and go on living their lives."

I started to cry, sniffling harder this time. These were genuine tears.

"I can give you extra power to fight those who have wronged you."

Her words made my ears perk up.

"That will do. Please give me more power. I want to ruin them," I said, gulping every time she spoke.

"But for that, I need to know if you truly have it in you to punish someone," she whispered, making the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

"I have it in me," I replied, pushing myself up from the ground and standing with my hands clasped in front of me.

"How do I know that? How do I know you will not take the power and run away to start a peaceful life somewhere?" she grunted.

It sounded like the reminder of Kash’s betrayal still haunted her.

"Well," I began softly."I have nowhere else to go. There is no peaceful life for me," I started to explain to her.

"For me, taking revenge is the only thing left," I explained, rubbing my hands over my face to get rid of the tears.

"They took everything from me. I can never conceive," I continued, reminding her once again what was going on in my life.

"They treated me so badly. They humiliated me."

I started to take deep, heavy breaths.

"Where would I go to start a peaceful life? He is probably going to come for me soon to arrest me too," I explained.

"No, I’m not going to run away," I finished, hoping that would be enough.

"Well then, tell me, is it in you to take the power and punish someone?" she repeated her question.

I realized that of course it was not going to be so easy to get powers.

"Yes," I said.

There was silence from her, so I felt as if maybe she wanted some kind of proof.

"I have done that before too."

Then I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"I have killed someone before. I have it in me. Trust me."

As I said those words, I began to explain to her exactly what I meant.

"How?" her voice came, and I started to smirk.

"Well, there was a woman named Red my father was dating. I burned her face," I said, smiling to myself.

"And where is she now? Is she dead?" she questioned, and I shook my head.

"No, she’s not dead, but..." I paused, realizing she wanted to know how far I could go. "She didn’t die," I replied calmly.

"Because I never wanted her to die," I added.

Actually, I was not lying. I wanted her to suffer.

"But I did kill someone before that," I mumbled, smiling to myself.

"Tell me everything," she said and I nodded.

Flashback:

I had left for my room because I did not belong there, and I refused to play a part in my father’s fucked-up fantasy.

He even sent several of his warriors upstairs to bring me down because he wanted to have a word with me, but I refused.

Like I said, I was not going to be part of this game. I did not understand how my father could even think about starting a relationship with someone else.

He should stay loyal to my deceased mother. After my mother passed away, I never expected to share my father with anyone, and those women, I knew for a fact, only wanted his money and power.

Sadly, it did not stop my father from going behind my back and doing exactly what I had asked him not to do. He had not only had an affair with this woman, but he had also brought her and the children here.

"If I did not do anything, she would become a part of this mansion," I said to myself as I paced around my room.

And then her children would become the heirs too. I shook my head as the thought scared me.

I knew I would not let it happen. There was no amount of hatred I could show to this woman who had arrived.

So what then?

I had to get rid of this woman. There was no way my father would convince me that the right thing to do was to play the sibling game with her children.

But for that, I first needed to get close to the woman and my father again. I had not even met them properly yet.

When breakfast arrived the next day, I walked out of my room and shocked everyone.

Red looked at me with fear, rightfully so, because she knew my anger. She knew she had pissed me off by appearing in my father’s life with those children.

She was pretty much dead, and even my father would not be able to save her.

"I need to make an apology," I started, forcing a smile onto my lips.

"Yesterday, I acted on impulse," I continued. "You need to understand that it is not easy for me to see my mother’s place being taken."

I gave both of them a look, pouting.

"But of course, life goes on. It is only understandable if everyone in their life is happy. I mean, I cannot keep my father forever," I said, letting out a small laugh as I shook my head.

"I should have welcomed you the right way," I said to Red, biting the inside of my cheek.

Heck, she had angered me so much.

Because of her, I had to apologize to a lowlife like her.

"Nobody is stealing me from you," my father spoke in a very soft voice.

He sounded so happy that I was accepting of his bitch.

And that Red, she seemed like she was in shock, probably trying her best to understand if what I was saying was how I truly felt, or if there was some other motive behind my sudden change of heart.

"So, with that being said, I apologize, and I welcome you," I said to her, holding my father’s hand and giving it a squeeze, letting him know that I held no animosity anymore.

My father looked so pleased. Sadly, it hurt me.

Why was he so happy for a woman? Why?

Was I not enough for him?

We were the best of friends. There was no need for him to bring another person into our lives.

Was my company not enough for him?

All these thoughts left me deeply discouraged.

That was why I wanted to make things right, because I knew once she was gone, my father would return to his senses.

He would understand that it should be only him and me in the house, that he should never give my mother’s place to someone else.

"See, I told you my daughter would come. She’s just cold on the outside. Deep down, her heart is very sweet," my father stated as he introduced me to his mistress.

I gave them a faint smile before walking ahead and sitting beside my father, while the other seat was now occupied by her.

"I’m so glad you came out," the bitch spoke up.

I gave her a cheeky smile.

My father instantly noticed, but there was nothing he could do.

"You know, your siblings will be very happy with you," she said, then continued.

"It is a blessing to have an intelligent and wise sister. So I am happy. My children have someone wise like you to guide them through life."

As she said that, I honestly wanted to shut her up.

The nerve of her to openly talk about making me her children’s caretaker, as if I were some maid or nanny.

It disgusted me.

"Right," I said, looking down to force a smile.

"When am I going to see them?" I asked her.

It made both my father and her smile, seeing that I was taking interest.

"They’re sleeping right now, but you can meet them when they wake up," she replied, holding my father’s hand and squeezing it.

That was when I noticed my father had freed his hand from mine so he could pat her other hand with the back of his hand.

Both of his hands were now occupied.

And I realized I was right to be angry.

She would never let him stay mine, or even be the good father he used to be, once she got him in her claws.
