Rose Blumen ~ Exogignesthai

533. Beyond the stars, 2

(Rose)

I wake up from my shoulder being shaken.

N – Wake up Rose, come and look.

Nightmare acting like an excited child is worth waking up to by itself. But there’s something even greater to see.

I step outside the feathery tent. It’s still night outside, but the lights of a modern city seem to appear a little further, out of nowhere.

As my eyes and brain progressively awaken, I realise I’m not looking at a city from the twentieth century, but something else.

In the valleys, and along the structures of hollowed mountains, glows and lights appear in dots, and are multiplying or even moving in various ways.

I then see a large set of wings land just next to us. It’s Blume returning from a quick investigation of what is going on.

B – It’s awoken.

R – You don’t mean...

B – I mean it’s Spring for it.

R – Spring?

N – Think of it as a plant, the size of the land. It’s usually slow, but now is the time to spread a little.

B – Exactly. It’s not about us being here. We can just watch...

And thus, Blume sits, watching the lights and the show about to start. Nightmare follows the mood.

I didn’t understand fully what they meant is happening, but if they’re confident, so shall I be.

The unexpected fireworks begin.

~

Eldorado as it was carving itself into the mountains as a very primeval lifeform in its own way.

One that leans on the floral side of the spectrum of life. It grew roots inside the rock beds, and seeds we’ve encountered.

It has nothing directly growing above the ground, but now something churns, and the lights express it.

Halos of light appear, and then fly off, spreading and becoming faint like clouds or smoke being puffed out.

The glowing rings spread into the sky, spanning kilometres.

Slowly, they align here and there, crafting gigantic cones of lights into the night.

And in the ground, at the bottom of the deepest valleys, the seeds are aligning for launch.

It explodes like a volcanic eruption, but contained. We hear and see them, like cannon firing, but it’s nothing cataclysmic.

Rocks fly off like rockets through the aligned rings of light floating out there.

About a dozen of these boulders fly off between the two enlightened roads in the air.

Then the rings lose their alignment and vanish, like mist. The glows softly vanish, and night returns slowly to itself.

That was eerie, and odd.

We’ve see how Eldorado spits new seeds to mark where to further grow.

The last ring of glow up there disappears and the milky way reappears in the sky.

By morning, the fireworks of that short Spring are over.

We discuss it as we begin to climb toward the next level of the structure.

When it comes to throwing seeds away, the land creates a very temporary alignment of structures, created from the rock spires, but independent from them thereafter.

Out of the chaotic landscapes, it creates floating rings of glow, halos, that can give the organic structure something it otherwise lacks.

It was like the blossoming of a flower before it scatters pollen, in a very different way from the usual.

The seeds aren’t meant to sprout and flew kilometres away like mortar shells or rockets.

I remember the sight on the computer screen, of modern rockets. They start their flight much slower, but leave a trail of smoke behind them as they fly away. Here it was more cannons than rockets so. The rocks were thrown from an explosion, not propelled with a reaction. It was impressive nonetheless.

One way or another, it led me to think about space again.

R – Blume, could a thing like that reach space?

B – As it did? I don’t think so... But there are other ways.

R – How was it for you, when you went into space?

Blume isn’t really fond of the topic, because of the related memories and fears. She was traumatised for many reasons out there and by the time, with a few different things, over a short period of time.

Still, she goes above that initial reluctance.

B – Space was scary. It’s altogether freezing cold, and burning to death under the sunlight. It’s not a place for complex biological organisms like us all.

R – At the time, Night and I were just diseases inside a wider thing. We didn’t really see the space beyond our context... Was space empty? Very empty?

B – It’s mostly void of baryonic matter, but filled with other muons... Ah... You’re wondering about magic.

R – Yes. Was there T.I. out there in space?

Blume and Nightmare really think about it. Nightmare was locked in the same weird environment as me, we found our T.I. inside the blood of that god, in its condensed Eitr. Blume saw more clearly how it was outside and out there. And know she reacts as if she just recalls something odd she didn’t notice before.

B – That’s an interesting thing... There was some, flowing in the top layers of Earth’s atmosphere. Magenta fed on it surely. But it felt different to me in the void, very different from being on the ground. Not just lighter, also more... raw, I guess? As if the T.I. out there was less prone to see lifeforms structure it.

R – And beyond?

B – Beyond, it felt empty, on that regard, it felt very empty.

R – So... Since T.I. appeared massively on Earth, it didn’t propagate into space?

B – That’s quite likely.

Which means the rest of the universe is still the one I’ve always know. Cosmology and astrophysics possibly have not suffered the changes in the laws of physics as it happened on Earth...

R – Interesting...

B – Yes?

R – It’s hard for the old world’s life to propagate into the stars, isn’t it?

B – Indubitably.

R – But now, beings-like-you, could. You could carry your own share of T.I. and biological mass into the stars.

Blume and Nightmare look at each other, in silence and stupor. They begin to grasp the new dream I’m beginning to build.

To see rings of light reaching space, all across the oceans.

And collections of beings-like-her, with refined blood like Nightmare plays with.

Seeds for entire trees of life, shot like arrows into space.

For Earth in its entirety to reach its Spring, inside the desert galaxy.

Because now, we might have the power to spread beyond our isolated blue planet.
