Chapter 401: Five-Element Fist Technique
Lin Xuan Qi flung his hand to the side and the vines that were getting longer also dissipated.
"It is not too difficult. For the fire spell, direct your Five-Element Qi to your heart, let the fire of your heart burn.
"Then, direct the fire to your hand with the following chant."
He said and proceeded to teach Lee He Song the chant for the Fire Spell.
"Let me try it." Lee He Song nodded his head and proceeded to follow his instructions.
He directed his Five-Element Qi from his dantian to his heart, let the fire rage from his heart and directed the fire to his hand.
When it was time, Lee He Song chanted the chant that Lin Xuan Qi had taught him earlier.
And like a miracle, flames appeared out of nowhere and engulfed his hand.
Lee He Song quickly stopped his Five-Element Qi and the flames dissipated.
He glanced at his palm in disbelief that he was able to do something like this.
If someone had told him so a few months ago, Lee He Song would have called the person a madman.
But here he was.
Being a cultivator and on the path of learning spells from Lin Xuan Qi.
Sometimes, life does offer you surprises and for the best reasons.
Lee He Song glanced at Lin Xuan Qi with a sense of gratitude.
He shall put what he had learned into good use when the situation arises.
"You can control the shape and form of the flame when you get better at it." Lin Xuan Qi went on and said.
He raised his hand and conjured a fireball that floated above his palm.
Lee He Song nodded his head and he attempted to do the same.
Whoosh.
The fireball that had appeared in Lee He Song’s palm dissipated in an instant.
"Don’t worry, it will take some time." Lin Xuan Qi said and comforted Lee He Song.
Lee He Song wasn’t someone like him, having accelerated learning from the system, so he wouldn’t expect Lee He Song to be as fast at learning new things as he was.
And while Lee He Song was practicing the Fire Spell, Lin Xuan Qi turned his focus back to Zhi Yong.
Zhi Yong was still in lotus position absorbing the Five-Element Qi from the Five-Element Stone.
He gritted his teeth as he felt that his dantian was at its limit.
But he didn’t stop and continued with it.
Zhi Yong wanted to be able to catch up to Lee He Song and help Lin Xuan Qi when the time came.
He didn’t want to be helpless again like he was when Zhu Di came to the mansion.
That thought made him even more resolved.
As the Five-Element Qi from the Five-Element Stone got absorbed into his dantian, his dantian expanded and more of the Five-Element Qi filled it up.
When it was over and Zhi Yong opened his eyes, the Five-Element Stone he had was now empty and void of any Five-Element Qi.
"Congratulations, Zhi Yong." Lin Xuan Qi patted Zhi Yong’s shoulder and congratulated him.
It was a double bonus for Lin Xuan Qi to have Lee He Song and Zhi Yong ascend to the next stage of Qi Concentration Level.
Zhi Yong held his fist up to his face and said, "Me now stronger."
"This is just the beginning..." Lin Xuan Qi said and took out some more Five-Element Stones, handing them over to Zhi Yong, "Take these and continue with what you were doing."
"Me work hard everyday." Zhi Yong nodded his head and kept the Five-Element Stones into his shirt.
It was a fruitful day for Lin Xuan Qi and he decided to take a small break for the day.
He left the lab and spent his time relaxing in the sauna.
As the steam from the sauna relaxed his body, Lin Xuan Qi opened the Daoist Five-Element Cultivation Techniques and tried to read about any swordsmanship or fist techniques he could learn.
Right now, all he knew was making use of the Five-Element Qi in its rudimentary form and using things like talismans to fight.
He figured that he might have some difficulties if he met with someone like a skilled swordsman.
So, it was better to be prepared.
It also didn’t hurt if he could let Lee He Song, Liu Shi Shi and Zhi Yong learn about the swordsmanship or fist techniques.
As he flipped through the manuscript, he finally found the section on different ways to fight.
There were the Five-Element Fist, Sword and even Spear techniques.
Lin Xuan Qi wasn’t so familiar with swords or spears so he started with the fist technique.
It was different from the spells.
He had to constantly make use of his Five-Element Qi and unleash attacks that had different elements at the enemies.
Fortunately, he was at Qi Concentration Level Refined Stage and was able to have enough Five-Element Qi for it.
Lin Xuan Qi stood up straight with his fists by his waist and he took a deep breath.
After that, he directed his Five-Element Qi from his dantian to his five organs.
And when it was done, he threw a straight punch towards the front.
Boom.
His punch, engulfed in flames, broke through the air with a booming sound.
Lin Xuan Qi followed up with his other hand that came down from above with a chop.
His hand covered in metal sliced downwards and it was not finished yet.
After taking a step forward, Lin Xuan Qi turned his body and lunged forward with his shoulder.
His shoulder solidified with rocks and anyone standing in front of him would have been badly hurt by the force and Five-Element Qi of his.
Lin Xuan Qi didn’t stop and he continued with the other stances that followed what he had done.
He was able to learn the next few stances but he had to stop once he reached the intermediate stances.
These intermediate stances would require much more Five-Element Qi than he had right now so he would have to learn about them only after he had reached Foundation Establishment Level.
But it was already a huge improvement for him so he decided to call it a day.
